Rumble!
When Lin Jun who was sleeping soundly heard this sound, he woke up only to find the train they were in was shaking.
It was not the only thing that was shaking, but rather the ground too, and from this, it was clear this was either an earthquake or external interference by something or someone.
"All students alert!" The voice of a female teacher with silver eyes seemed to attract everyone's attention.
The reason for this was not the fact she was a woman but rather the voice, it had some seductive ability to it.
This was probably something to do with a technique she had learned. It was indeed useful and at the moment it had made almost all the students calm down, while most, especially men almost had stars in their eyes when they looked at her.
On the front rows, Emily turned around and observed everyone before her attention shifted to Li Jun who was still looking sleepy and acting all dazed at the development.
"He is not affected! Interesting, it seems that he is not bad." It was what she thought secretly as she evaluated everyone.
Only a few people were considered capable to enter her eyes and she could be said to appreciate Li Jun even more after this.
Martial artists were considered brutes, but she had some information and knew that this path was no different from the evolution path, except it required even stronger willpower as they went further ahead.
Martial artists are mostly associated with body refiners, even though it is not the same, this is not far from the truth. Martial artist's bodies are very powerful and this process is becoming painful at each stage.
In the current solar system, the resources present can allow him to reach the perfection of body metamorphosis, and even complete the golden body, but that is the end.
To improve further, he has to enter the depths of the universe to search for chances. The same is true for whether he joins a martial arts Dojo or not.
Only the Immortal path can continue to improve without leaving the planet, even though the resources for this path are gathered by a lot of people.
The same also explains why no one takes the responsibility to stand behind and spread the reputation of martial arts, this is because, in the lower stages, it is indeed inferior to the immortal path.
"Everyone get ready, if the train is overturned you have to escape in groups of seven. The distance to the main checkpoint is about 7 miles. No one present is a child, this world is dangerous take this as a form of training. Depending on how you perform you might have a chance at choosing something from the national library." The moment the words reached the students, some were hyped, but at the same time depressed.
Li Jun was excited but he quickly extinguished this thought.
"Popularity is not the right way at the moment, I am very weak, it is best to stay away from the spotlight. But this can't be said for Emily, but I have a feeling this woman will not allow anyone to trick her into anything." He had a despressed expression on his face and this was not faked.
Regardless of how he looked at things, he had no way out, but he seemed to think of something before sweeping this feeling away.
His hands kept moving along the seat, he only stopped when he felt he was holding some cube in his hand.
But even so, he had a feeling it was not safe to carry it like this, as it would end up getting lost. In the end, he still put it at the corner of his shirt and tied it tightly.
"This can barely count as a small measure, I wonder when I might be able to understand what this cuboid is. But in the outside world it seems very difficult to even see it, can the perception of immortals discover it?" He was slightly confused.
But that was not the only thing, his suspicion has always been on the virtual world, it did seem like an actual world to him. The fact that he was able to bring anything out was even more alarming.
He just maintained his calm all this time and never mentioned this issue to avoid being suspected.
Looking around he could see that Emily was not as panicked as everyone else, rather was in the mood to observe him.
"What is this woman plotting in her head?" He wondered but did not dare to ask.
He was afraid of this woman in a sense, she was a troublemaker.
"What is happening Emily?" He asked with some doubts.
"Oh! You decided to join the rest of us, should we brief you on the current turn of events?" She spoke in a weird tone and even her words had him puzzled.
Li Jun "??"
'What is she saying exactly?' this was indeed the case. She was mocking him for sleeping all the time and not even maintaining awareness of his surroundings.
What she did not know was that he was shocked too. Things did not develop in this way in his previous timeline.
It was just right for him to be shocked when he discovered that almost everything was heading in another direction after leaving the Universe Hall.
"I remember the attack on the Hunan Martial Institute but that happened about a week from now right? What is with this development and the earthquakes? I thought this was the means used to collapse that ruin. But things are changing indicating a lot of changes might end up coming up." He was not excited about this at all.
Losing some leverage he had on the situation.
But even so, he was just relaxed because in his mind he kept thinking he still could survive, only after some thought did it occur to him he was still a weak mortal that barely entered the martial path.
"Since you are so sincere to ask me this, I won't lie to you! We are screwed." He thought she was going to explain, but she stopped speaking after this and seemed to be searching through her bag.
The female teacher seemed to hear her words and wanted to reprimand her, but the circumstances did not allow it.
She even thought it was not a big deal for them to think this was danger, rather than a chance to show off. This was after all normal for teenagers to want to show off when they had no ability.
At this moment, she was incapable of protecting everyone, as such she was more worried they those who stayed close might become a burden instead, but could not just say it out loud.
Emily on the other hand seemed to see through this clearly, it surprised her but only slightly.
In this case, her priority was to allow most students to escape, and she would not feel any guilt about the outcome as long as this was accomplished.
The group that had attacked them was the work of the Woke Immortals. The only thing that the current administration can be said to have messed up about.
They let this group grow up without crushing it when it appeared, but as time passed, not only did they become radical, but even went further to target geniuses from each batch of new students from the Universe Hall.
This was considered a huge issue, as they had killed a lot of people in their pursuit of the belief of survival of the fittest.
Over the years they have been ranked among the top local terror groups.
They were able to recruit some people in the past, but most were criminals who joined to escape pursuit by the government.
This also meant that most of them did not believe in the propaganda of the Woke Immortals.
They were not foolish enough to think this issue would be changed just by increasing the number of criminals to the course, but by selecting new blood.
The most important thing was to get those they could initiate into their Woke Immortals ideology. From the entire population, the children were the most likely to meet this criterion.
The second big thing was teenagers, but most of them had been raised listening to the government propaganda, and it was even more difficult to change them.
But this did not stop them from taking risks for the chance of getting a genius.
"Emily, who do you think we should take in our group?" Without even waiting for the woman to say anything anymore, Li Jun changed the subject so fast.
His goal was to make sure they could move in the terrain smoothly. More importantly, this woman seemed to have more insight into a lot of things than he gave her credit for.
"I seem to be overlooking something?" He thought to himself.
