Chereads / Xianxia: Nine chances / Chapter 2 - Mind eye

Chapter 2 - Mind eye

He lacked enough data about himself, and this was only possible when he left this place of death where he had trapped himself in an attempt to get on the path of martial arts.

Li Jun had already come out of his dejected state with the decision to do something beneficial for his survival.

He had not forgotten the fact that this place was considered unsafe, and he believed that such statements did not just come out of nothing.

He was incapable of just using modern means to call for help; this was because the virtual world he was in was more or less biased towards the extraordinary than technological advancements.

But even if good things existed, he might not be able to gain access to them

"I can only lay down and wait for my body to regain some strength before leaving. More importantly, I have to observe my current circumstances in the outside world to be able to create a path for myself." He was not going to make impulsive decisions at all.

He could now move his arms easily. "I just need to wait for a few hours, and perhaps my body will have that feeling of being energetic. Let's exploit that chance to escape from this place before it becomes dark. "

This kind of thinking was not bad, as the results of staying overnight in the water had killed the original owner of this body. The thing that he wondered was how he was able to occupy this body. He even started to suspect that it was just created with such a background story, and this was possible if it was a virtual world.

What he was sure of was that his intelligence index of 55 was there and could be increased with any new realizations he had in the future. This virtual world in the Universe Hall would also play a major role in this.

Since he had his only advantage on the table, it was only a matter of time before he could carry out an analysis of himself. Compared to other illusionary chances, he was more interested in what belonged to him.

Li Jun had just brought himself into this situation for a chance, but even so, it was not clear whether such a thing existed.

With objectivity in mind, one can already conclude that something is suspicious here.

He was not anxious yet; his current circumstances just made him uncomfortable.

Other than the bushes, Li Jun did not seem to discover anything unique about this place, but the way he was lying on his back allowed him to have a nice view of the water he almost drowned in.

"I think that I might have drowned had it not been for the wooden block. In that case, what kind of chance made someone like me jump into this valley, almost drowning?" Li Jun was still suspicious about this.

He only managed to relax after realizing no one schemed against him to come to this place; rather, it was a personal decision.

But what was the chance he wanted in this place that was rumored to have helped a lot of people?

"It is probably not something edible; after all, not everyone has managed to become a martial artist as others think. It is a path that most people assume to be simple, with just a lot of persistence. This is far from the truth; the path of martial arts requires one to be able to understand their body. This is the real foundation, and other materials that can be read about the human body are considered just secondary; a martial artist's body is the foundation and what they ought to focus on." He was not necessarily naive about this path, but this was just gathered for the sake of raising his intelligence index.

When he was thinking to himself, his gaze seemed to stay on the water for a while and the reflection of the sun on it attracted his attention.

The water almost seems like a mirror; he seemed to have entered a state of realization: "Perhaps the entire time I was wrong, or the information received was understood wrongly. It was not that people gained a chance to become martial artists, rather some were able to embark on the journey after visiting this place. What are the similarities between this place and the others mentioned?" He reverted to his analytical nature.

"Perhaps the issue of internal introspection has something to do with the mind. Immortal parth has things such as the spirit consciousness that forms from energy. But this is not the same for the path of evolution and Martial arts. In essence, evolution is just martial arts principles accomplished with advanced technology." The more he thought of this, the more he agreed with his line of thought.

The first stage of evolution and Martial arts was the same. The moment this stage is accomplished, it becomes easier for Martial artists to train in body stretching techniques.

The Evolutionary path, on the other hand, can allow one to enter the second stage without studying martial arts, but the mind will have to be strong enough.

The process of using external help to transform the body is very painful and one has to be awake during the whole process or it might fail.

With these two paths, it was clear that the mind played a very important role. It would be stupid for one to confuse the intelligence index and the mind. The intelligence Index of 55 would not be able to allow even Li Jun to open the internal introspect.

This already shows how intelligence would not change this, it has to be realized by each individual from their chances.

The process is something like enlightenment, and one needs the right time and opportunity to be able to accomplish it.

The time for Li Jun has yet to come, but he was not anxious, this was a virtual world. He had all the time to try it out, that is as long as he did not die early.

"Some people even called the ability to enter the interinteintrospectiopeninmindye. Not everyone can accomplish this, and this environment that has put me under so much stress would probably fail to accomplish anything." He was right to assume this place was not able to provide him with the chance he wanted.

"What is the difference between mind and spirit consciousness?" Li Jun was lost deep in thought. He was not able to gain the result he wanted instead, he shifted to another angle.

He was trying to gain another perspective and solution to the first problem on his path to becoming a martial master.

Martial Master was the name he had heard in the previous timeline. He even seemed to assume it was a legend, after all, they were said to be able to fight immortals without using any treasures.

This was not something he had experienced at all, and he did not believe it then, for a simple reason, the path of martial arts was considered inferior.

But at this juncture, he was sure he knew nothing about martial artists. At the time of death, he was certain he had seen individuals standing at the same height in the void, but unlike him, managed to withstand longer under that eye.

Even a fool seeing this could already feel something was different about them.

He was also not more concerned about this topic yet, it was not useful. He had to first meet the requirements of the mission he had before shifting his attention.

"My ability to survive in this virtual world is going to be based on how fast I can improve my strength. This is also based on how quickly I can attain the first stage. I wonder if Emily was also thrown into the same virtual world as me?" He was somewhat doubtful about this.

Fortunately, he did not mind being alone, he also realized that he might have died in the previous timeline due to ignorance.

Considering that he was targeted by such an existence, he should have at least some understanding of why other than being turned into a resource.

It might also have been because he looked down on others too much, to the point of slowly being alienated from them.

What Emily just said to him before the Universe Hall mechanisms sent them to different places, was a clue.

Perhaps in that timeline, he had overlooked it. The look in everyone's eyes inside the Universe Hall was already enough to show a lot. The same could have been what happened to him, and the distance between them continued to lengthen.

Before long, the two of them were no longer of the same 'world', making it best to keep in their lane. In simpler terms, they drifted apart just like that, and even the interactions between them became rare.

He was scared ot the immortal path, because he had devoted himself to it, without any hesitation.

He even sacrificed a lot for this path and looking at it, it was not worth it.
