Chapter 3 - Unexpected development

Within the nearest Tian City, five martial arts schools exist, the strongest of which is the Azure Martial House, which is said to offer three spots for those without strong backgrounds to join.

The number of martial arts skills possessed by the martial house was the largest, with most being from the graduates of this martial house.

To be able to create a martial art is something only a martial master can accomplish. In such a case, it showcases that the martial house has produced a lot of martial masters.

Martial master is a title and not a cultivation realm, and most individuals who create their martial arts are usually given such titles.

In Tian City, those who manage to enter the Azure Martial House are considered the elite and even expected to create a martial arts skill, leaving behind some reputation.

The significance of becoming a martial master is the fact that one would have an easier time attaining the third stage of martial arts compared to others. To create a martial art, one has to have a better understanding of the body and the speed at which they carry out body refinement faster than others.

All martial masters achieve the perfection of body metamorphosis, but the big challenge is entering the third stage. Even without creating one's own martial art, it is possible to enter the third stage. The only problem is that the speed of improvement in this stage either stagnates or becomes too slow.

Personalized martial arts can be very useful at this stage because everyone has some subtle uniqueness when it comes to their bodies, and that is the case in the internal structures.

This stage is also considered the foundational stage, and the more shackles that one breaks, the stronger the foundation. For Li Jun, this was far from him, but the first two stages were his target in this virtual world.

In Tian town, a young man could be seen moving out of the city gate, heading in the direction of Li Jun. The only thing that could be noted was that his injuries were very serious, but he did not bother looking at them; rather, his concern was survival. The anxious look on his face seemed to say a lot.

It was as though he was being hunted down, but unlike the modern world, where Li Jun is from, he did not seek help.

At the moment, the youth was filled with hatred and indignation; even a faint killing intent could be seen in his eyes. Not long after he left the city, another group seemed to arrive right after him.

"Senior brother Xu, it is best to cut off the bud completely before it has a chance to even produce flowers." In the group, a woman with a naive appearance could be seen. She was the one talking and this did not seem to match her appearance at all.

"What a ruthless woman! I thought the two of you were childhood friends, and even without a second thought, you sentenced him to death. What happens to my senior brother in the future? when you meet a better man, will he also face the same fate?" Another man in the group with a sword hanging by his waist was very dissatisfied with the woman and did not hide it at all.

The woman turned her head, looking grieved, and said, "Senior brother! I... that is not what I meant. I am just thinking for the sake of my senior brother. Regardless of whether his senior brother lets him go or not, he already hates him. In the future, even if the person is not on your level, he can tarnish your reputation."

The young man did not even reply; rather, he just snorted, not satisfied with this explanation. He did not say anything, lest his senior brother get annoyed.

Just like that, half a day passed by, and the man with scars all over his body jumped down the cliff; he seemed to be familiar with the place.

Li Jun, who was soundly recuperating, suddenly heard movements, and when he reacted, a ragged figure was dragging himself from the water. When he looked over, he could see that this figure had suffered serious injuries but could still move.

With that alone, he could tell this man was an expert. He was not able to escape from the hands of such a person. When he opened his mouth, wanting to say something, he saw the figure turning his head towards the valley.

He could not see anything but was sure that danger was approaching, yet he could not resist. Just looking at the pressure under which this person was released, he was at least at the second level of martial arts, body metamorphosis.

The sense of suppression that was being released from the young man was already affecting him unconsciously. His body was shivering and it could not be stopped. The man turned around and spoke to him finally: "You have some value, finally."

Just listening to the words he was saying, Li Jun was sure that nothing good was going to come out of this conversation. It could not even be considered a conversation.

The man appeared before him in a flash; this was so fast, and his eyes could barely keep up.

His hand movements were fast enough, and he aimed at his legs. He was immobilized; no, he had casually crippled him. He then removed the cloth he had on and put it on him, before taking out some finger-sized cubes and putting them in his arms.

"You should hold this for me; if we survive this, I can give you some chance." As he spoke, he forcefully stuffed the cube in his hands in a way that others could see it.

After doing all this, he shifted his line of sight to the back, where he had just come from. Being as intelligent as he was, he was sure that what this man had said was all a lie.

There was less of a chance he would survive what came next.

"What the hell is with this development? I was at least once an immortal path powerhouse; how could this person's presence scare me to the point of failing to even utter a sentence?" Other than helplessness, he was sure that his best bet was to shut up for the moment.

The development of things was not going well, and he had stopped thinking about how to survive; rather, the cube he was holding was bizarre.

"This cube is probably not normal, and this person would not let me off had I opened my mouth to beg for mercy. Perhaps this is the best way, but whatever or whoever injured him to this extent does not seem to be easy to mess with. But why does he seem to know more about this place, and is it more like planning to use me as bait? Oh no, I'm dead meat!" Laying there, Li Jun was glad this wasn't the real world.

Both he and the other man were looking into the distance, as though waiting for something.

On the cliff, the man with a sword hanging on his waist had some doubts about the reason for someone they were chasing heading to this place.

"Senior Brother, is this worth it?" He still asked what was on his mind all this time.

Instead of giving a reply, the senior brother looked into the valley in deep thought. Since some things have happened, even if it was due to a misunderstanding or not, he was already sure of the attitude of the other party.

He had spent a lot of time and all of this was just to observe; the others might not be able to see it, but he had seen what Xiao Ming had done to that man he did not even know.

This made him very wary of the woman beside them too; after all, they were considered childhood friends, and their nature should not be that far apart.

"Let's go down!" He was indifferent to all this; even if the woman was trying to use him or that man wanted to get revenge for this, his heart did not waver in the slightest.

Since the young man could not guess what his senior brother was thinking, they descended the valley.

When these figures descended, Xiao Ming hid himself, and the grip on the cube in his hand was shifted. It was then placed under his arm. How could he just let others play with him?

He felt a unique feeling when he noticed movement time. "That is a spiritual consciousness sweep! No, it is not; it seems different."

With this thought in mind, he gave up any plans to escape or survive. At this moment, how could he not see that the actions of Xiao Ming were considered a joke before this group?

It was possible that from the very beginning, he was led here, or they wanted him to lead them to this place.

Regardless of how he looked at things, it was either his chance or doom! But he ws going to let things play out, but part of him did not think it would end well for him.
