The memories of my past suddenly came back to me hitting me with a wave of emotion.
'Oh right my name was Chris.' I remember as I looked at my past self hugging a young woman while holding onto her waist. 'Was that my fiancée?' I wondered as I watched myself enter a giant machine with rubber wheels and go down the road. I was an engineer back then. Yes, yes I was!
While working I received news that she had died that very day. I was devastated and refused to work for 2 weeks. My best friend refused to watch me waste my life away and urged me to start working again.
I accepted and got my life back together only to lose it trying to save him from an accident in the construction site we supervised. I was flattered by giant bricks of concrete!
While traveling to the light, I was intercepted by 6 powerful beings that looked like mythical creatures. At first glance one could think that they were gods but the denied the title.
"We are Primodials, beings entrusted to grant power to the people of this world for their sole survival and defense." A flaming phoenix announced her voice echoing with power and authority.
"But before we get to that, let me introduce myself." She added as a tornado of fire consumed her to reveal a young and beautiful bronze skinned lady with breathe taking golden eyes and a joyous yet warm smile.
"I am Adara great to meet you!" She exclaimed and shook my hand very eagerly. Soon I heard other roars from other beasts.
"Oh they are here, Chris allow me to introduce you to the High Court of the Primals!" She said and I spotted a dragon land next to a stone pillar
His wings made of gold and the stars in the sky, his scales were pearl white and enchanting. He turned to me and scoffed "So you are the mortal she has chosen?" His voice thundered and shook the ground I stood on.
"A bit weak looking don't you think so brother?" A dark mist swirled around another pillar to reveal a panther with dark and purple yet captivating eyes. She turned the white dragon for affirmation but he didn't say a word.
"Aren't they all weak looking?" Another voice boomed that soon followed with a huge burst of wind that formed up an eagle with orange eyes.
"Refrain from teasing him, I don't think the boss likes it." A tsunami partially swallowed the room and from it emerged a Leviathan. He turned to him with contempt in his blue eyes. "Forgive them, they don't get out much." He said with a chuckle that made laugh with him as well a little.
"The human has the guts to laugh amidst us?" Another voice echoed as the ground opened up and magma began to shift forms to form a cobra covered in different valuable minerals. "As the Primodial of earth I refuse to to take such laid back manner lightly." She exclaimed as she coiled around another stone pillar and glared at me with a glowing red eyes while hissing.
"Like you are the one to talk, you slacker!" The wind primodial teased and the serpent gasped dispite not moving its lips. "Take that back or I shall strip your servants of the riches the earth gives them!" She roared or much less hissed.
"You wouldn't dare!" The wind Primodial taunted and the tension between the two rose! Things were escalating drastically but Adara stepped in to end the fight. "Break it up you two, the great Primodial of light would like to speak!" Adara demanded only to turn to her boss who had slept off!
Adara's eye twitched with anger as she yelled out his name "Lord of LIGHT!! Wake up!!!" She yelled out and he nearly flew out of the room in shook but quickly recollected himself.
"Right, hello young mortal." He greeted me and I mustered a small bow. "Hello your shininess!" I said and Adara held back a giggle.
"We've summoned you here today to discuss your second chance at life. In the past fate didn't favor much to the point that it ended the life of you and your spouse in a single year. But fear not we wish to bring you back to a new world." He explained and I looked at him emotionlessly.
"Except that I don't want a second chance." I said and it caught all of them off guard but the Light Primodial. "Surely you are mistaken?" The earth primordial inquired as she slithered around me till she turned into a woman covered in expensive linen and jewelry.
She grabbed hold of my face with both her hands and held me close. "Why not!?" She asked with a look of disappointment.
Look at her up close, she looked like a cute and young girl who looked like an Arab in my world. I pushed her a side and sighed. "It's because I need to see my love in the afterlife." I explained and the panther spoke up.
"We met her a while back, she is in the world we wish to send you to." He said and I looked at her with shock. 'Either she is telling the truth or she is very good at manipulating people.' I thought to myself and turned to her.
"What proves it?" I asked. "Nothing, you are just gonna have to listen and trust us." She said with a slight giggle. "The Queen of darkness speaks truth of her claims." The eagle added and I looked back at the dragon of light.
"Why did you send her there?" I asked. "For the same reason we are sending you there, to defeat the Monarch of Chaos." He explained and I stared at them dumbfounded and I recklessly asked.
"Why can't you do it yourselves?" I asked. "Because ancient law forbids direct interaction." The Leviathan explained and I looked toward Adara for more clarification.
"Okay look, long ago we used to be seven Primodials but the seventh one, the Chaos Primodial wanted to gain more power, beyond that of light she wanted to spread her art of destruction and mayhem as far as how light grows. We inevitably killed her but she reincarnated as a mortal. She then used unlawful means to forge a devastating war. We were forced to summon a human and grant him the power required to defeat her but she was too strong and the only option left was to seal her." She explained and I understood. "Which is why we need you to stop her from breaking that deal!" The leviathan added and I scoffed.
"How do you expect me to beat a Primodial?" I asked and the Light Primodial shocked me. "By giving you the powers of all six of us." He answered and I just stared at him in disbelief. "Excuse me?"
