This project has bigger obstacles than any of us expected."
The sudden change in his tone caught her off guard, and she sat up a bit straighter. The relaxed atmosphere faded as she listened closely, sensing that Dashiell had something serious weighing on his mind.
"I've seen things that have worried me," he continued. "I haven't brought it up to the higher-ups, because I don't want to make waves unless necessary. But the truth is, we may have a problem on our hands. A very big one."
