'Golden Monks? So he is not a human that painted his skin gold.' This flashes in his mind, but he still answers the monk in front of him by shaking his head.
The monk was surprised; he has the ability to ascertain the truth and lies from any being that he is talking with, and Leon's answer does not convey any sense of falsehood.
"I am not bragging, but our race is known to most worlds; we have the strength to contend with other top races; it is surprising to know someone from this academy that does not know about our race." He answers in shock, but inwardly, he is calm; he just wants to know if Leon is capable of bypassing his ability or if he is just being truthful.
Leon scratches his head, hearing what the monk had said. He cannot help but feel like a total idiot. He smiles sheepishly and says, "Due to some unfortunate event that had happened to me inside the Realm of the Thousand Worlds, my memories are incomplete."
The monk had a look of realisation, and he then became excited. If what Leon had said is true, there is a possibility that he has the innate ability to train their technique.
"My friend is here." Seeing Aranold approaching him with an exhausted expression, he quickly bows to the monk before going to his friend.
He touches his back and closes his eyes. Aranold stays still, trying to cooperate with his friend as much as possible. He is anxious, but he cannot show it to anyone.
[The hidden bloodline is now cooling down, but it has been active for the past couple of minutes; it seems to have used an innate energy inside a female's body in order to accommodate itself.]
Leon nods his head and tells the same thing to his friend, startling him. He smiles and pats his chest. "Do not worry, I have found a solution to your problem."
"What is it!?" Aranold's eyes light up. He is in a state of disbelief. His friend has just returned to the academy, and yet he has already found a solution to something that he has been fretting over for a certain period of time.
"Since your ailment is reacting to a certain energy from a female's body, we just need to find an object that emits the same energy in order to use your boiling blood for a better purpose, like training," he answers confidently.
"Do you know what type of energy we are searching for?" Excited, Aranold immediately asks. He does not want his friend to do everything; he wants to help himself.
"No f*cking clue!" Leon, without hesitation, tells this with a proud face, causing his friend to be gobsmacked. He looks at his proud face and is assaulted by an urge to strangle him.
"What the hell!? You are telling me that you have told me all of this but have no idea what the hell you are talking about?" he asks with a rather dumbfounded expression.
"Yes! If you want to blame someone, blame it on my amnesia, as I have no f*cking clue about multiple things in this world." He answers seriously.
*Ahem* "Gentlemen, I cannot help but overhear your conversation; I might know what the two of you are talking about." Suddenly, a voice cuts the both of them off from their awkward staring contest.
"Who!?" Shocked, Aranold takes a step back and instantly goes into his fighting stance; meanwhile, Leon looks at the stranger that has butted in their conversation.
"Oh, it's you." Seeing who it was, he sighs a relief, but his friend is still in full defensive mode, and his instinct is screaming at him that the person in front of him is dangerous.
"Aranold, meet this kind person that I have met; he says that he is from..." Before he can finish his words, his friend speaks.
"The Golden Monk Race is one of the strongest and most famous races in this galaxy, with multiple members of their younger generation being able to hypnotise different beings to be their followers."
Leon's expression changes. He takes a couple of steps back. The monk's eyes flash with a strange light, but no one was able to discern it. He smiles and says, "Do not worry; our race is forbidden to use that ability inside the academy. We might be one of the top races, but we are not foolish enough to ignore the academy's rules."
Leon does not relax his nerves; he might be smiling, but he is already prepared to fight back if the monk dares to make any strange movements. He turns to his friend to see his reaction.
Aranold calms down; he puts his guard down. Seeing this, he also calms his nerve, only for the system to inform him about something crucial.
[Your soul is protected by both me and the Gemstone of Life; not many are capable of controlling your mind, especially not the one in front of you.]
He inwardly feels embarrassed for himself; he is too unfamiliar in this world, afraid that the smallest mishap will cause him dearness, especially with the number of powerful beings that exist all over this world.
"If everything is fine, I wish to help you in your endeavour. If I am not mistaken, the energy that you are looking for is called yin energy; it is a cold type of energy that exists in different forms."
"Wow! That is interesting. Can you tell us the most common form of this type of energy?" Curious about this, Leon asks with an excited expression.
"The most common is the living yin energy, one that exists in most living beings, especially females that have a physical body. Second to it is the death yin energy; this type of energy is extremely harmful to living beings and is most absorbed by ghosts and undeads."
'Ghosts!? There are freaking ghosts in this world!? ' Leon's eyes widen after hearing what the monk had said; he cannot help but shiver in fear.
