The girl is still doubtful, but after staring at him throughout the entire meal, Leon can no longer help himself and sighs.
"Why don't you sit next to us?" He knows that standing still is something any genetic warrior is capable of doing for countless hours, but he just cannot continue eating while somebody who is talking to him is standing still awkwardly.
The girl sits down, but her gaze never leaves him; he can only smile bitterly at her insistence stare. His friend, on the other hand, does not care about the girl; now that he has the yin stone, he is no longer a slave to his basic desire.
He had even made a vow to himself that he would not sleep with any female if he did not have a breakthrough at least twice in this period of time.
"You are eating both meat and greens; it seems that you are really a human." The girl finally speaks after a long period of silence.
Her reason made him speechless. Of course he needs to eat his greens too; after all, he is a human, but considering her humanoid appearance, he expected that she would at least eat some fruits, but it seems that he is still new to this world.
He asks, "Do all the tiger folks only eat meat?"
She nods her head. "We come from a race that has an extensive number of species; tiger folks are all carnivores, not because we want to but for a different reason; we are unable to digest the energy from plants; we can only obtain this from meat."
"You mean that you guys are capable of eating meat, but because of your digestive traits, your race is incapable of fully absorbing the energy that one should be able to obtain from plants?"
She nods her head, sighs, and says, "There are multiple genetic creatures that are actually plant bases; many of them bear fruits that are capable of enhancing one's gene.
"That is quite unfortunate." Leon can only look at her with pity, but the two look at him with a stunned expression, and they then laugh out loud.
"You are very strange," says the girl. Her smile causes his heart to actually beat faster, startling him. He knows that he is not romantically attracted to her, but why does his heart beat so fast? Something within him tells him to actually mate with the girl.
"You might not know this because of your problem, but because of their all-meat diets, the carnivores of the Beastman race are a lot stronger than regular humans; in fact, many of them are even stronger than Vulcaneans, the race of that arrogant one-eyed bxstard back in our room," Aranold explains.
"Well, sorry if I did not know, you guys are truly mean." Even though he says this, he has not stopped eating because, because of his breakthrough in his body tempering manual, he is now capable of absorbing more energy, and in turn, he is also capable of turning more foods into nutrients.
His body automatically distributes them, but now that it is enhanced by the system and the passive effect of the Gemstone of Life, he is now similar to the bottomless abyss.
"Your breakthrough truly made you into a humanoid beast; I did not expect that you would be capable of beating me in an eating contest," states Aranold in shock as he sees his friend only getting faster as he swallows food like a snake swallowing its prey.
"Breakthrough? After I broke through, I do not think that I have changed that much." Leon states in confusion; he does not know what his friend is talking about.
"You mean that you do not know? You had broken through once again; just earlier, we saw your body undergoing a cleansing."
"What!? I did not f*cking know that I had broken through; is that the reason why I became so thin!? I thought breaking through meant that my body was growing stronger; why did I become weaker instead?" He is in shock; if his friend had not told him, he would have never known that he had broken through.
"Beats me; I am no expert in the physique of you humans." He shakes his head and shrugs his shoulder.
Leon becomes silent. 'Maybe he is right; this might be normal for humans. I think the reason for my voracious appetite is my body lacking in meat.'
He touches his stomach, thinking that he would be fat after eating such a great amount of food, but he only touches something hard.
"Hmm?" He is confused. Lifting his clothes, he sees an incredible scene. He has obtained a six-pack. He is shocked. He slaps himself, but after feeling the pain, he realises that he is not dreaming. He has not only recovered from his extreme state, but he has also obtained a body that his former self has been dreaming about.
'Yes! ' He inwardly screams before clenching his fist and punching up; unfortunately for him, this action triggers a different effect.
After being satisfied, he unconsciously releases his power, and a roar that seems to be a combination of both dragon and tiger can be heard.
Aranold and the tiger girl instinctively leap backwards; their expressions are filled with vigilance, especially the latter. Both of them felt something within them fighting back the fear that their bodies were feeling.
"What are you two doing?" Startled by their action, he can only jump backwards. Upon seeing this, the two look at each other.
Aranold heaves a sigh of relief, thinking that he was just reacting too much. Meanwhile, the tiger girl has become more interested in Leon.
She smiles and introduces herself: "I still have not introduced myself; my name is Carefree; I am a tiger folk of the Beastman race; it will be my pleasure to become your acquaintance."
"Ah, I do not know how to give you an introduction that is appropriate for your race, so I'll just be blunt. My name is Cleo Oriend, and this fellow is my friend Aranold."
