"Shit!" Mr Parker grabbed Dennis, a short but astute man, clean shaven but crooked in appearance. The target was his gun. Once he had his hands on it, he pulled it furiously out of his hand and threw it away.
"Dude, are you mad. Did you not hear hold fire. Jesus Christ, you want to kill someone."
"My hand just acted, it was impulse. I cannot believe you are shouting at me right now," Denis bickered.
"Would you two quite it already!" it was an anger yell from a commanding voice. The two men stilled. The owner of the voice looked away from them to the boy on the floor who had so considerately fallen on his face to protect the girl on his back. He was on one knee beside the boy, others standing around.
"Is he dead. That was a close range shot and from a revolver too. I kinda don't want to see what he will look like right now," One of the men standing next to the boy, analyzed.
"Lets get this girl off his back first."
… Girl…
Leo's gaze flew fast, past every standing person and landing on the two people on the floor. He recognized the black hoody immediately. Leo sprang from the sand floor and tore into the little crowd, flinging the man on the left aside. The pale reddish skin met the ground before he could comprehend what was happening but immediately he did, his first reaction was to turn his neck towards the perpetrator and yell
"Why you son of a bitch" but his curse fell on no ears.
'It's her'
Leo stared at the faced down girl on the boy's back.
'It's really Anamay'
He reached out instantly to grab her
"Don't touch her." Leo's hand halted.
'That voice'
Deep, Youthful but overbearing like the command of a young soldier, Leo unconsciously obeyed.
The girl's body began to stir, her carrier was getting up. With a voice like that it was as if they were going to see a crude large man. His presence was daring and dark. The chilling feeling it was emitting, the men unthinkingly took a step back. Only Leo dared to stay, not because he didn't feel it but because he was too stunned to move.
The stirring of the men made a decent gap in their middle allowing even those behind to see the seven feet 5inch boy rise to his feet.
ELISH
Honestly, it hurt me a lot, that flying object that came out of the weapon he was holding. Crashing into the ground hurt more. If they were friends, why would they do that? I could not comprehend but I knew that I was definitely not trusting them. That's why I dared not let the owner of those clumsy feet touch the girl I was carrying. So I spoke, stopping him.
Surprisingly, it worked like magic. The people around pulled away from me. I was quite pleased. Some how they were frightened by it. I liked that and I was intending to keep up the act. So when I rode from the ground, I did it like an angry bear.
The First person I looked at was the boy next to me. I held a plain stare, my eyes pinned on his. His widened. There was a shuddering in his gaze. I had to revert my gaze. Poor boy looked like he would shit himself and honestly, I couldn't understand why he was so scared.
'What do I say to these people now. They were all waiting for me to talk, it seemed. I had many questions but the girl on my back: I will ask them to help her first'
"Can you help her", was the second thing I said. Nobody responded.
'Are they deaf? Can they understand what am saying'
"This girl…"
I let her down from my back and into my arms.
"She is still alive, can you help her?".
"We can," said a voice from behind the people beside me.
I looked towards it. The owner of the voice had grey hairs all over his head and beard but a Middle Aged appearance. He stepped forward but still stayed behind the first people before me.
"But you will have to give her to us." I raised an eyebrow the moment he said that.
His voice seemed to give others confidence, because someone else spoke.
"Don't worry. We won't hurt her. She is our friend and she doesn't have much time."
'True'
"Lead the way," I said.
It was the shuddering boy that leapt through the small crowd Immediately and gesturing me to come forward. I did. The others moving aside for me to pass. The boy made towards the building. I followed.
The grass on this side of the forest was like a carpet. A bare footpath In the middle. Stones engraved on it to devoid growth of vegetation. The path big enough for two. We walked in serpentine, one of the older men following behind. The boy led us behind the house, stopping in front of a white door. There were shades of yellow and red above my head, unintentionally, I looked. It was flowers. Wild beauties crawling from the ground and all over the edge of the door. The window panes were also covered with them. It was bizarre and attractive.
"Please come in," I heard the boy say.
I looked his way. He had opened the door. I affirmed with my movement, all of us going into the house. In my mind, I thought.
' They seem simple. I should have little to worry'
But the moment I stepped in… something struck my nose. A heavy scent. I was alert immediately. My ears twitching.
"Stop." I said to him.
He halted, they both did.
"Is something wrong."
"Something died in Here. The smell of blood is engulfing my nose." I said it in a hoarse tone. To hide my discomfort.
The stench of blood was so heavy. There's no way I was moving an inch without an explanation. The boy's face gloomed. He did not reply me.
"A creature attacked them last night. It killed his brother and hurt the girl you are carrying. Please we don't have much time. She needs first aid before we take her to the hospital."
I looked at the girl and hissed.
"Fine."
The boy picked up his feet Immediately, moving to and up the stairs. In less than a minute, we were on the first floor. Me sitting on the bed with the girl in my arms while the older man pulled out a box and labeled bottles.
"Tell your Dad to be ready for us. We will be downstairs soon."
"Okey, Sir," the boy replied and hurried out of the room.

Mr Parker waited till they were out of sight before he neared their commander, Gene. Apparently, Gene was eager to talk as he was.
"What the hell was that?"
"I know right. I swear on my wife's grave, Dennis pulled that trigger. He really shot him. But there was no scar. Not even a scratch." Gene waved his head in disbelief.
"Man I shove a man's d**k up his ass if he told me that something like this was true. But here I am seeing it for myself."
"Who the hell do you think he is?"
"Anything but human," Dennis said, moving close to them.
"Did you see those jaws. I bet my entire life savings that they can cut through metal. The way his skin clasp tightly to his muscles and the abs that look like they were chiseled out of stone. No man can be that perfectly structured."
"Are you Trying to say he is not a person like us," Detroit asked the descriptive Dennis.
"Impossible," Mr Parker said.
"So far as am concerned he is just a well built tall guy," Matthew spoke for the first time that day.
"He is right," the commander agreed.
"Well we won't know anything unless we ask him," the commander summarized. The men made gestures of acceptance. Leo appeared behind the house almost immediately. Heading towards them.
"Mr Joe asked you to get the car ready," Leo said to his dad the instant he got to them.
"Alright."
Mr Parker made for his car. Commander pat Leo on the shoulder, he turned a little.
.
"Your Friend is Lucky. Very lucky." Leo smiled.
The mysterious man almost made him forget how relieved he was when he saw Anamay. At least, he didn't lose everything.
