The spacecraft was designed to insulate the interior from most of the outside noise, primarily generated by the thrusters, rendering the deafening sonic boom akin to a small pop.
As they ascended further from the ground, slicing through the clouds at incredible speed, reaching the designated altitude they gradually decelerated. Haze and Calyx felt their hair float as they entered the vast expanse of space.
Calyx sighed as the gravitational force acting on his body completely subsided.
"Is that what we were bracing for? That was nothing," Haze bragged, relaxing in his chair and regaining freedom of movement.
"Really, I'm glad to hear," Rogan replied as he interacted with the control touchpad, setting their destination.
However, Calyx was too engrossed in the vast blackness of space that lay before him. A sprinkle of stars adorned the void with an almost seductive calling—a driving urge to reach them, to know them, to know all of it.
