Calyx finally shifted his gaze from the view as he turned to Rogan.
"Ah yes, where do I start," Rogan paused for a moment, collecting his thoughts.
Many, many years ago, after the emergence of Quasars, chaos ensued—a predictable outcome when power is bestowed upon those who lack understanding or control of it, especially in a universe where such power was still yet to be regulated.
Initially, these special individuals were deemed anomalies, labeled as "survivors" since most discovered had always somehow emerged unharmed from a Quasarite outbreak. At that time, the legend of the frontiers had not yet been told, and the arrogant bastards venturing to the cosmos' edge, along with the nightmares they brought back, were unknown. But that's a tale for another time.
It took several decades to comprehend the source of these survivors' powers, the possibilities they presented, and the imminent danger if left unchecked.
