The ship sped through the void of space, with each passing second bringing them closer to their destination. The thrusters left an almost blinding light trail behind it, yet inside the ship, it was dark and quiet.
They all reclined in their seats, the ship's interior lights turned off, leaving only the dim glow of the control board and some indication lights. The atmosphere within the ship suggested slumber, but their minds were too occupied to succumb to the alluring call of a good night's rest, the first they'd have had in a while.
For Haze, anticipation and traces of anxiety filled him. He was uncertain about the future, the place he was going. While he was certain of his goals, he wasn't sure if he was capable of accomplishing them—a discovery he would make in Astra.
"Revenge, how cliché," Haze thought. He harbored a deep hatred, especially for ethervores, topping his list of targets for understandable reasons.
