Chapter 4 - AT THE VALLEY

Sebastian

The extreme heat from the sun got me all confused. My eyes were tightly closed but the heat was just so unavoidable. I blocked my eyes with my hands but I could still feel the hot blazing sun. Just where the heck was I?

Slowly I began to open my eyes and holy sh*t, I quickly woke up looking at my surrounding. The environment was so not for me, where on earth was everyone? The last time I checked we were on a trip to Morocco.

The area was full of dead carcasses, dry bones that probably died decades or maybe a millennium. "Holy crap, holy crap." I jumped looking at the pile of bones under my feet.

On the other side where I was to land my feet, a skeleton of a full child's body outline lay and beside it was her mother. I couldn't destroy that union and out of impulse I tripped and fell with my back, on my side were some bones scattered together.

I freaked out, looking around and calling everyone I could remember we were with in the private jet. Hallucinations of awakened dead bodies were all I could see. Damn, little did I know that I was so good a runner.

At a point I couldn't take it anymore and that's how I stopped and stood checking my surroundings. A vast land, the area anyone could call a desert but I din't consider it one. The place was obviously a life support area and there should be history behind every life loss only that no one could account for.

I could see evidence of animal remains, one dead tree fighting to support it's presence indicating that there were others of it's kind which were no more on the face of that cruel environment.

I looked at my body in disgust, the me in present was not Sebastian Yates I knew about hahaha. I laughed at my foolish appearance, no more tuxedo's for me I could guess. It was me in some baggy pants and a black hood which was already in tarters. Perhaps it was because of the blazing hot sun.

Slowly I began to move step after step my mind in total chaos. I could figure out that this was one of my father's stupid ways to ensure my change in behavior.

I smiled devilishly planning something demonic as payback towards him. Of course I knew it would be a matter of days before the whole presidential family could flood in the area for my rescue. I knew that despite my terrible character, the Yates family at large would not stand me staying in such a place.

My hands roamed all over the side pockets my pants had, all I wanted was to get my good for nothing smartphone and scold the shit out of my dad.

Tf they din't even leave my phone with me and so I was a nobody in that particular area. I walked for a long distance until my precious feet could handle it no more.

Definitely had no choice but to doze off after several attempts of massaging my feet. I felt something tickle my skin and I opened my eyes only to realize that it was already getting too late.

I could detect the crescent moon from a distance and with it's little light, my eyes could detect some creatures but amongst them I could only identity the ants and that was all.

Well at least I was not the only breathing organism in the area but sure enough sleeping outside, alone in a deserted place was a guarantee.

I could see my mom's image, reading my bedtime stories until my entire vision was out. Myra's image came to sight, how she longed for attention I had from everyone.

Well of course they all wanted favour with me something I din't really like. The knew I would rule the states next in line after my father but I heard him mention something like it was not a full guarantee unless I really wanted to.

Well it's not like I cared, but I knew my dad wouldn't let power off so easily, he would ensure that I ruled right after him. On my part nothing really mattered aside from my own happiness.

In no time my mind revolved to my grandparents, how they were brutally murdered despite all the security at hand. Fear rose within me as a full image of my dad and uncle fighting immediately after burial of the presiding leaders.

Everything happened in broad daylight and before everyone, I remembered vividly the gunshots that lead to another funeral and my dad being hospitalized for who remembers how long.

I gritted my teeth but probably due to the cold, I was used to my family drama by then and nothing was actually new to me. The weather became so unbearably frigid with heavy currents that I was so scared it would rain.

For a moment my mind shifted to my dad, the man I so hated and din't wish to follow in his footsteps but at that point I wished he would turn to be my hero because only he could.

"Dad." I uttered his name in greeted teeth, my hands hugging tightly unto my body while my head buried firmly into my thighs. Trust me that was the worst moment of my life and I knew my family would come for my rescue the following day.

Well my anticipation was high until I spent the third night alone in that deserted area.

Meanwhile, Alexander rolled in bed several times looking at his peacefully sleeping wife. What if some day she cames to know what he did to their one and only precious son, the only fruit of their love to be precise.

According to him, Myra was nothing but a mistake and he was relieved with the DNA test outcome.

All he wanted was one single news update which seemed to be a delay. He knew the atmospheric conditions of the place he threw his son. He heard from Senior that survival was for the fittest but if that would help revive his son then it was worth a try.

His heart fears were that he might loose his son in the process of transforming him but again the driving force of his actions was from Senior Kang, second commander in chief of the army after him.

He was a well trained soldier for several years and seeing him recommend someone to watch over his son was a relief unless he was one of those who backstabbed.

According to Senior, Domain was a well trained undercover agent who had never failed in any of her missions. Alexander only agreed to that because he knew Domain was Kang's daughter and no father in their right mind would throw their children in danger.

What stressed him out the most was the fact that Domain had not given any feedback of meeting up with Seb.
