As Aron kept running, he remained vigilant, using the radar for one to two seconds to consider the movements of the undead.
He wanted to know if they were following him or not.
He understood the importance of not underestimating their speed, having seen enough zombie movies to know that not all undead creatures are slow.
What if these undead were faster than himself? Their level is four, and he is only elevated to level two.
If they are faster than themselves when it comes to their movement speed, it would be clear to understand that they would be stronger than themselves physically.
"It would be bad; let me check it before thinking about bad things."
Aron thought and used his ability, "The Radar."
After checking, he realized that the distance between himself and the undead creatures was greater than the time it would take for them to reach him.
He had managed to put a substantial distance of five hundred meters between them, but he didn't stop running. Amidst his sprint, a realization dawned on him.
"It seems like I missed an important point!"
Aron paused for a second to catch his breath, then resumed his sprint.
"I need an escape, a survival ability. In the end, these situations are not something to take lightly. Only after understanding and giving enough importance to survival can I confidently say that my abilities are effective."
In this dangerous encounter, Aron recognized the need for an escape ability—something that would provide him with an advantage when running for his life.
He also contemplated a hiding ability, akin to concealing his presence but more robust and versatile.
Considering earthly animal abilities like camouflage, Aron hoped to find inspiration for a useful skill.
One hour later, after an hour of continuous jogging, Aron stopped and sat down on the ground. He closed his eyes and whispered.
"Fast Resting."
His energy started circulating throughout his body, and fatigue began to dissipate.
Utilizing his knowledge of sleep and sleep sequences, such as REM sleep, Aron employed "fast resting." Its effects were remarkable; in just ten minutes, he felt rejuvenated.
Although it cost him 15% of his total energy, he considered it worthwhile to maintain strong physical capabilities.
Looking toward the east, Aron smiled.
"I believe, after about four or five hours of walking, I will reach Red Fire."
An unusual excitement stirred within Aron.
"Despite the dangers of the Gray Universe, it was a new world waiting to be explored."
"In the end, humanity always strives for more; the hunger for exploration is one of the most prominent human desires."
Aron closed his eyes and then got up from the ground to continue walking to his destination.
------------------------------------
"Kill these wretched beings."
A bald man with a massive hammer swung his weapon, crushing the head of one of the undead.
A rogue-like, thin man pulled his iron bow and shot another undead in the head.
"Why are these rotten, vengeful undead here? They shouldn't be here, especially in daylight."
The bald man, Blad, expressed his anger.
The rogue remained silent, glancing at a woman named Elis wearing gray robes.
"Please, Lady Elis, use your abilities. Blad is the one attacking at close range. It would be too bad for him to get infected."
Elis nodded and pointed to Blad, whispering, "Low AngeL Protection."
With Elis's words, Blad started glowing with white light.
"With this protection, I don't need to hold back my attacks. The physical attacks of these undead are powerful, but I am a Paladin class pathtaker; I can take it."
Most pathtakers with experience knew that the crucial thing when fighting the undead was to avoid infection. Undead poison was too dangerous for those without the ability to cure themselves.
Because of this reason, most of the close combat pathtakers would not go out to hunt any undead-type monster without the protection of an angel or a similar type of protection.
In the end, they needed a type of protection from undead poison. If not, the result would turn into an infection after dying.
Elis looked at the undead as Blad fought against it and commented within her mind. Her eyes looked sad, as if she remembered something from her past.
"In the end, these people are most likely human; Rotten Vengeful Undead monsters are more likely to be human warriors who died without completing their life mission or betrayed and lost in the desire of revenge."
