Tuesday. October 5th. 2010.
A year has passed since I last had sex. I thought about it every day, masturbated every night to the memory, and only watched porn where the guy was on all fours. As time passed, I got bored and moved onto more hardcore porn. I wished I would get lucky again, though I hadn't seen Nick since we last had sex.
By October, I had doubts I'd ever have a chance like that again. I give up hope and returned my focus to school and football. I went to Bloomfield Hills High fifteen minutes away from me. My stepmom, Alma, usually drops me off in the morning on her way to work. Dad takes my brothers to school in Birmingham. I never attended schools in Pontiac despite living here. It's not a great area, luckily we're on the border of Bloomfield Hills where the area gets much better. Unfortunately, we're on the poverty line, so there are nights where gun shots can be heard.
Bloomfield Hills High wasn't bad. It's a massive, two-story, modern building facing directly to road called Franklin. There was a different aura in the air from John D. Pierce Middle School in Waterford. Black people dominated that school, most didn't like me because I was white and an omega. I didn't fit in well and had a hard time. Luckily, I met Kendryck when I started sixth grade. He's a social butterfly with many friends, for some reason he wanted to be mine. He defended me for three years; it absolutely broke my heart when we separated schools. I haven't found anyone like Kendryck, thankfully the people are less in your face here and typically mind their business.
They're still assholes, somehow worse than John D. Pierce because they have money.
I have my cousin, Aidan Church, in a few of my classes. We mainly talk during practice, since he has his group of friends that aren't a fan of me. One afternoon, while preparing in the locker room for a game, I laid eyes on a heartthrob. A pale alpha with folded, dark eyes and stark black hair. He was tall and beefed up, came in with two other seniors laughing and joking amongst themselves. I had never seen the guy before; my heart never skipped a beat at anyone.
The guy notices me but doesn't take a second glance. He continues to the sink with his buddies, grooming his feathery hair. I watch him, distracted from putting on my purple slacks. "Why are you staring at Basil?" Aidan came up behind me with a Black alpha named was De'Markus. He was the only other junior on the varsity team.
I jolt before I turn to him. "Who is he? I've never seen him before."
"This is his second day. He transferred from Saginaw."
"Is he a senior?"
"Yeah." Aidan opens his locker.
"He's cool too." De'Markus opens his and yanks off his shirt. I continue to get dressed, putting on the gear before the jersey.
I look at him, eyelids lowering. "He's already made friends." He and the quarterback do a weird handshake. "Especially with Justin."
"Everyone likes him." Aidan leans in. "He's kind of a douche."
"He looks like one." I chuckle, turning my attention back to my locker. Everyone gets into their gear and leaves the locker room for the bus. I sit in the middle alone, De'Markus sits across from me, Aidan always sits next to the window. The seniors pack loudly into the back. Basil plops behind us, not saying a single word, at first.
It's a fifteen minute drive to Pontiac High School, our team were facing the Phoenixes today. I would've went to that school, but Dad promised Mom she would send us to Bloomfield Hills High because that's where she graduated. We pass by the road to my house going North up Pontiac. My headphones were in, and I was listening to Metallica, mind wondering as I stare out the window. The wilderness passes by, there's lot of greenery and houses planted in between. A tap on my shoulder makes me pluck a headphone out. I look at Aidan, whose blasting rock into his own ears and staring out of the window. I turn around, locking eyes with Basil.
"Yo." Basil smiles. "What's your name?"
"Vehren." I cock my brow.
"Vehren? I've never heard of that name before."
"Neither have I heard yours."
"Touché. It's easier to pronounce than 'Bae-Seo'.'
I blink. "You're right. What language is that?"
"Korean. I'm also part French, hence my last name 'LaCroix'."
"I've got a little French in me, mainly German and Japanese."
"Ooh, you've got some Asian blood in you, too."
I smile. "I do. My grandmother was fully Japanese."
"Wow. I can kinda see it in your eyes." He smiles as he stares. "They're nice."
"Thanks." I brush a strain of hair behind my ear. "So, you're new here?"
"I am. I'm from Saginaw. Sorry for bothering you, I like to make new friends."
"It's okay. What brings you to Pontiac?"
"My dad's job relocated him. It sucks I didn't get to practice with you guys before a game."
"I'm sure you'll be fine. What position?"
"Linebacker. What about you?"
"Running back." I see Aidan take an earphone out. He looks at me then turns around. "This is my cousin, Aidan."
"Yo." Basil jerks his head up.
"What's up?"
"Just chatting. What position do you play, Aidan?"
"I'm the kicker." Aidan shrugs. "I got a good aim."
Basil smirks at me. "Are you any good?"
I smirk with him. "I think I'm pretty good."
"How old are you guys?"
Aidan answers, "We're sixteen."
"I'm eighteen." Basil shrugs. "I got held back a year."
"Shitty." I said. "What year?"
"Seventh grade. It was no big deal."
I make a light chuckle. "I almost got held back in eighth grade."
"Bad grades?"
My eyes glance at Aidan. "I missed a lot of school." He pops a single, bushy brow.
"Damn, that sucks. Doesn't matter, you're here now."
"Yeah." I say weakly.
Basil chuckles. "You guys seem chill."
"We are." Aidan lifts his chin.
"He could be cooler." I shrug. He gives me a short look.
"Give me your numbers? We can chat after school. I want to make a group chat on Kik or something for the team so we all can talk."
"Sounds like a good idea."
"Sure." I put Basil's number in my phone and text him right away. Basil responds to the message. "Thanks for asking. I don't usually talk to a lot of people."
"Well, you have me now." Basil smiles. We arrived at Pontiac High School and the conversation ended soon after. The football game wasn't the only one that started that day. The other would continue on the after school hours has ended. Basil would text me later that night and throughout the late hours. The next morning, I would have a hard time getting up because I didn't sleep until three at night. Our conversations would evolve over the phone, and we learned a whole lot more about each other.
I would drink alcohol brought by Aidan and have these conversations absolutely shit-faced. One day, I started confessing thing to Basil I never told anyone. Including, the night I lost my virginity. I didn't realize what I said until the words spilled out of my mouth. "Oh fuck, I didn't mean to say that."
"What happened?"
"What do you mean? We had sex."
"Yeah, but how." Basil's voice got deeper. "How hard did he fuck you?"
I swallow. "Pretty hard."
"And you took it? How big was he?"
I sink into the couch. My room was in the corner of the basement. A drape separated my corner from the living space with games, instruments, and a computer. My eyes gaze around the room, foot tucked underneath my thigh. They land on my black Chihuahua, Lucci. "You really wanna know?"
"Yeah, I do."
I bite my lower lip. "It was amazing. I blew him first; his size made my jaw hurt. He fingered me twice; the second time I swear I saw stars. At first, it hurt, but when he added more lube, I got use to him being inside me. That's when it felt fucking good. I was screaming into the mattress." I chuckle. "I had tears in my eyes, man. When he came in me, I felt that's where his cum belonged."
"Fuck." Basil breathes. "You're a slut."
"I had sex once!" I don't raise my voice too high; the walls are still thin/
"It won't be the last time, now will it?"
I smirk. "You're right. I want to do it again."
"Do it with me."
"What?" My face softens.
"You heard me."
"You're gay?"
"No, but I don't mind experimenting."
I nod my head slowly. "When?" I scoff, "How?"
"I have my license, so I can barrow my dad's car and pick you up. We can do it Saturday at my place, my parents won't be home. They never are. Do you want to?"
"Of course I want to. I'm a slut, remember?" I laugh lightly. The date was set, and I had to wait six days for the event. Once next Saturday came, I felt an emotion I didn't usually feel excitement. I was hopeful and yearning for the day to come. Mid-afternoon, I texted my address to Basil. Twenty minutes later, Basil arrived. He parked down the street like I instructed him to.
I left the house often, usually to go to Kendryck's, Aidan's, or just be on my bike by myself. Usually, I go South towards the high school, I didn't want to go anywhere near the city by myself. Dad was in the kitchen with Alma cooking dinner not far from the basement door. I could hear them talking when I come up the steps. I open the door dressed in all black, wearing a button up, skinny jeans, matching converse, and a cross that dangles off my collarbone. Dad furrowed his bushy brows once he got a look at me. "Where are you going dressed so nice?"
I brush my short but growing locks behind my ear. "I'm just hanging out with Kendryck."
"Are you guys going somewhere?" Alma tilts her head.
"It's a little thing at his cousin's house, I wanted to look nice for it." I continue through the kitchen. "I won't be long."
Alma looks at Dad, who stares straight at me. "A few hours?"
"Yeah." I nod. "We're not doing anything crazy, just watching movies and pizza."
"Alright." Dad looks at Alma as she resumes tenderizing the beef. "Don't be out past sunset."
"Okay." I go down the short hall that leads to the living room. Three of my brothers sit on the couch: Etika and Vareka, the youngest, identical twins, sit under the wide window while Heidehken, the middle brother, sat on the other couch across from the computer area. Zephron—whose second oldest to me—is in the attic where his room was. Playing on the TV is 'SpongeBob SquarePants', they're zoned out in the episode. I walk right pass them, not saying anything when I leave.
Down the block, Basil waited in his dad's red Ford Mustang. I get in the passenger seat, smiling softly. "Nice ride."
"Thanks. My dad rode with my mom." Basil touches my leg as he peels off the curb. "You ready?"
I nod. "Let's go." Basil plays rap off the radio and zooms out of the neighborhood. It's another twenty minutes by side street to his place. He lived deeper in Bloomfield Hills, closer to Birmingham. The whole time he openly flirted with me. He lived in a brick, one-story bungalow on a high hill before a pond. No one was home, Basil was his parent's only child, and they went out for dinner with their friends.
Inside, Basil led me into his neat bedroom and sat me on his bed. He plays Lil Wayne on his stereo and plops next to me. We instantly make out, starting off with a few kisses before mashing our lips. He lays me back, kissing down my neck. The closer he got my crotch, the harder I became. Basil was quick to unbuckle my jeans and yank them down. The action alone sent my heart rate array.
Our sex was quick but passionate. Basil unleashed on me, lightly choking me, and thrusting hard. No lube was used except for spit and my natural lubricant. I enjoyed it, breathless by the end. We cuddled naked afterward. Basil brushed my hair when he said, "I think I love you."
"Like a boyfriend?"
Basil nods. "I want to be with you."
"I want to be with you too." I smirk. "You're so cute, I can't believe you're interested in me.
"I had more sex with you than the girls I fuck."
"That's hot."
"Damn straight. What do you say? Do you want to be my boyfriend?"
I smile. "Yes."
"You can't tell anyone. It'll be our secret."
"Absolutely."
Basil kisses me, fingers skimming down my jaw. Another twenty minutes of cuddling pass before Basil took me home. This wouldn't be the last time we communicated or have rough sex. It became a weekend thing, us together at Basil's or even an empty parking lot fucking until we can't breathe. I loved everything about Basil, though Basil only really loved my body.
