As they all sat in their mom's car, (Their mom was shocked but unsurprised when they filled her in on what had happened, "She's always been like this" Her mother said shaking her head.) Amy wondered where they would be shopping. There were plenty of malls in this town. She was surprised when they headed towards the biggest mall in the city. "Woah! We never shop here, you always say it's too expensive." Alex said. "Oh…. About that, Hunters are quite...Umm" Her mother said trying to find the appropriate words. "We're loaded!" Her Gramma said, "Your mom wanted to raise you humbly, well not anymore, you're not gonna embarrass the richest huntress there is!" "Wow! Who?" Alex asked awed. I face palmed myself as Gramma looked confused and answered "Me, of course" Their mom looked at him worried and asked, "Are you sure the spell from the chimera isn't still active?" " Can't blame that on the chimera Mom," I said dodging another blow and shrieking as the car went off course because Mom had turned around. She turned around and said, red with embarrassment, "Amy I've told you not to tease me while driving!" They finally arrived.
The mall was huge. It looked like it stretched for MILES. It was covered with glass and shone brilliantly. The floor was super clean and had floral patterns on it. Amy saw the entrance had an arch completely covered with flowers and formed a large fox trotting gracefully and they had stone statues of foxes around the edges. "Wow.... So pretty" Alex said.
I was wondering what we were going to shop for as we entered the Vixen mall. " They said I was a seer so... Monocles?" Amy shuddered at the thought. I walked up to the front entrance and Gramma called me to stop. "Come back." She said. I joined them at the front of the mall. " Why aren't we going inside?" I asked. " Ok now listen look at the mall and focus." "On what?" I asked wondering if I wanted the answer. " Nothing.. just focus! Start and you'll understand!" Her Gramma said encouragingly.
I looked at the mall and looked at it thoughtfully. Immediately it changed into something else. It was like she had been looking at a TV and someone changed the channel. The building was the same except for the fact that it was now a deep scarlet and had a large blue moon floating above it. It had many towers rising out of it and it resembled a castle. The people around it were about as eccentric as the building itself. People in flowing gowns and headdresses with shiny beads or tiaras with radiant gems, Some were wearing tight full-body suits and walking leisurely around the mall. Some had bows or axes and sometimes swords.
Amy took a while to take it all in. Alex gasped," Cool!" He said. "Welcome," Gramma said," To The scarlet Moon!" Amy was confused. "Isn't that moon blue?" Amy asked. "It is now but once in a blue moon it turns scarlet!" Her Gramma chuckled at the joke. "Our third best friend owns this place, sadly he's just as mad as your grandmother." Seraphina sighed. "Lighten up Sera! Gramma said we haven't visited him in ages!" Gramma said. "I visit Caleb all the time." She said frowning.
"Plus everything is free" Gramma shrugged. "One indebted, the other a leech," Sera said disdainfully. "He's loaded and not indebted! Plus I don't come here often!". Noticing my confusion Sera explained " Caleb was our third best friend. He was a poor hunter and your grandmother saved him many times and he feels indebted and your Gramma doesn't explain otherwise." " I saved him 6007 times to be exact and he does it cuz he likes it. Don't pretend you don't ask for illegal magic exports either!" Gramma said Grinning as Sera flushed.
A man came running out towards them. He was timid-looking and had blonde hair and green eyes. Any saw he had large biceps and his small shirt showed that he was altogether quite fit. " What do you need to do to be a good hunter anyway? " Amy wondered, looking away.
"Woah dude! You're ripped! Can I feel?" Alex asked. The man blushed and I said " Don't mind him, sir. He just doesn't know what comes out of his mouth." Kicking him hard. The man smiled " Call me Caleb." He said his cheeks going back to normal.
"How ya doin'? Shy guy!" Gramma said. Caleb blushed again. " Not bad" he replied, his blush vanishing again. "We need to pick up the books," Sera said smiling at him. Caleb blushed again. "Are those cheeks or disco lights?" Amy wondered amused. "I suppose the blushing is another one of your experiments." Sera sighed. "A new range of mental healing potions," Caleb said grinning, "This one is SUPPOSED to be useful against Cupid's arrows but it still needs work."
"So let's start book shopping," Sera said. "Of course NOT!" Caleb and Gramma said together. "The books are already arranged," Caleb said blushing once more. "Now, Let's get started with the fun stuff!" Amy and Sera sighed and followed them into the mall.
