Iode was dismissed from the meeting. He was told a report would be sent to the purple tower and would be called until further notice. On his way to the dormitory, he saw Ian who seems to be in some sort of patrol.
"Iode". Ian called unto him.
"Hi Ian, it's been a while since we saw each other". Iode said.
"Indeed, I especially enjoyed your test performance it was absolutely stunning ". Ian said with a big smile on his face.
It doesn't take a genius to know where this conversation is going, about a month ago, Iode and Ian together with Kyle and captain Jacob traveled from Illusium to the Roahanes academy.
Iode told Ian and Kyle that he was a one star mage. They couldn't believe their ears because they could see an aura swirling around him and today which Iode regretted he ever casted an advanced level spell has brought a lot of attention towards him including Ian, made his previous claims lies.
Iode was sure Kyle and Jaen would soon find their way to him. He doesn't like this one bit but what can he do, the deed has been made there is no use crying over it anymore.
*Sigh* " I know where you are going but there is a perfect explanation for what i did back there". Iode said.
"Really? What is it". Ian said sarcastically
"Don't tell anyone but...". Iode paused for a moment looking sideways watching, as if someone was near them. He brought his mouth near Ian's ear and whispers to him.
"I'm one of the original five successor".
Ian was dumbfounded with this sudden confession.
"What". Ian said. "There's no way...". Ian paused seeing that Iode wasn't making any funny face but a firm stare.
"You... You are not joking"? Ian said. Iode continued his stare but this time a blank stare.
Ian stared back, he couldn't believe what he just heard, successor of one of the original five, but his aura is purple, the only original with such color was Igor and he has never had any successors.
Iode saying he's a successor of one of the original five, he's saying he's the successor of Igor, unbelievable, it disrespectful and a blatant lie. How could he say such a thing to his face with conviction in his eyes.
A one star mage with an aura is already something which is unbelievable in the first place now saying he's the successor of Igor just proves he's nothing but a liar, and a bad one at that.
Ian looked at Iode with an obvious doubting expression on his face. Iode wouldn't care less if he believes or not, it was the actual truth that is bound to be known by everyone soon.
"Today is a long and stressful day senior Ian, my body needs some rest see soon, bye". Iode said as he gradually slipped away from Ian's sight.
"What a fellow". Ian said.
Iode walked to his dormitory, he could feel a lot of head piercing stares directed to him. His ears picked up a lot of gossips about him as he moves along the way. He was sure he's going to be the topic of discussion for more than a week.
He got to his dormitory, to his surprise, Hector and Ceaser were not in the room. He was happy there wouldn't be any discussion about him. But to totally evade any form of discussion that may arise when they both arrive, he needs to sleep and fast.
He laid down on his soft bed and slowly closed his eyes happily giving in to slumber. While sleeping, around midnight, one could see Iode having cold sweat running down his face and had an uncomfortable expression on his face, which suggests he was having a bad dream.
Going inside Iode's dream, he found himself in 'Wizardsville' , the capital of the wizards. He knew this seemingly because of the presence of the large majestic building, purple in color. The building was the purple tower. The place was also filled with numerous large buildings surrounding the purple tower.
"Why I'm i in the capital, how did i get here, is this a dream"? Iode thought.
Suddenly a very large object appeared in the sky, casting shadow over a large expense of the land. As the large object appeared, a very loud alarm sounded throughout the city.
Iode looked up to the sky, the large object was something he had never seen before. Iode was perplexed with the size of the gianomous object. The object was large enough to be the size of a castle.
What even intrigued Iode was how the gianomous object was able to fly, it defies everything he knows about flying things. They are usually small and light, even large flying animals have an exceptionally light bones for their sizes.
This object Iode was looking at is far from light and it doesn't even have wings. He asked himself
"What's that, is that a new magic invention".
As if someone heard him, a voice shouted
"It's a ship and a very large one everyone seek refuge at the purple tower and activate the the protective shield".
"A ship? How is that flying thing a ship ". Iode thought. Well to Iode ships are vessels that travels on the sea not air, infact object that can fly can only carry as much as one person and not large. The flying object is a space ship for traveling through space, but Iode doesn't know that.
But something struck Iode, he recalled the voice saying everyone should seek refuge at the purple tower and activate the shield. At that he saw people running helter skelter around, disorganized.
It doesn't take a genius to know that the 'ship' is something dangerous. He could see a visible mana shield casted over the city. Iode thought mana shields was nothing but a russ has he has heard from numerous sources that most cities in the heaters have them.
They are created differently depending on the region and nation. But most mana shields are made from numerous large mana stones seeping out excess mana.
This is the first time Iode would see one and it was quite the sight. But then something happened. The 'ship' shot out beams of light towards the shields and opened numerous holes on shield. The shield has been breached.
Then large flying objects shot out from the 'ship'. These objects are what you would describe as a missile but Iode doesn't know what they are. He saw that these objects fly at an incredible speed and move like they have a mind of their own.
What's more terrifying about them was they destroy everything upon impact, exploding immediately, leaving craters as a sign of been there before.
Because of these things Iode sees he gave the 'missiles' the name 'exploding ship' in respect of the gianomous so called 'ship'.
But the destruction of the 'exploding ship' is yet to finish as they keep destroying properties without remose. Iode tried to stop some of these exploding ships using his new found strength.
"Sunbeam". Iode said as beams of light shone towards one of the exploding ships. Surprising it was left unscratched and made a turn towards Iode. Iode sense death looming towards him. This agent of death and destruction has averted it attention towards him.
Iode shouted and tried running. Is he going to die? Isn't this just a dream? What kind of dream feels so realistic. Tons of questions were popping out of his head. He could feel the exploding ship at his tail, running is of no use. He stopped and the exploding ship blew up on him.
"Argh"!!! Iode shouted as he jumped out of his bed seemingly falling to the floor.
Hector and Ceaser got off from their beds hearing the shout seemingly standing in defensive poses as though they are under attack.
They saw Iode lying on the floor with fright face and cold sweat. The looked at each other seemingly confused.
