The next day, Philip left for the alpha conference, promising to think about the marriage between his daughter and Alpha Tim. Leah believed deep down that her father would permit her to marry Alpha Tim once he got back from his meeting.
"So your father said he needs more time?" Jade asked. Jade had been Leah's friend, standing by her when nobody wanted her, fighting her bullies, and getting into trouble most times.
"Yes, he promised to give me a positive answer," Leah replied. Leah and Jade grew from friends to sisters. "The Alpha Philip I know won't just give his precious daughter away so fast. Did you forget that?" Jade joked.
"Fine, you caught me there," Leah chuckled. Then she said, "He didn't say he would give a positive answer, but he said he would think about it. Thinking about it gives it a seventy percent chance of getting a positive answer," Leah explained.
The ladies carried on with their day, talking mostly about Alpha Tim. "He promised he would take care of me. I trust him," Leah said. Jade smiled from ear to ear, feeling proud of Leah. Leah had never been able to make her own decisions, and now she was taking the full course of her life.
The door slightly opened, and Leah's mum, Tiana, came in,staring at them with her ocean-blue eyes with a broad smile spread across her face "You are over the moon with how you feel for Alpha Tim," Tiana said, smiling. Leah walked to her and went into her mum's embrace. "I am proud of you, Leah. I am glad you are choosing love above other things," Tiana said.
"She might turn it into the pack's business. Everyone might just know how much she loves Alpha Tim," Jade pitched in. The three ladies chuckled softly.
Tim did have his charm, and it was working on Leah. Every day, she talked about Alpha Tim to anyone who cared to listen.
"The way he looks at me is just charming and beautiful. His hair falls slightly to his face. Mum, his dentition is perfectly arranged. The moon goddess had so much time on her hands when she created Alpha Tim," Leah said.
Tiana sighed greatly but maintained her beautiful smile, her ocean-blue eyes glaring at her daughter. She had never really seen her this happy and was going to do anything to keep her this way. "How about you marry Alpha Tim discreetly, in your father's absence?" Tiana suggested. Leah and Jade sat watching her. Leah was thrilled but not ready to risk her father's wrath.
"Dad won't be happy if I do this," she complained. Jade turned to Leah, took her hands into hers, and said, "Have you ever thought about your dad not approving of this marriage? He only said he would think about it to get you off his hook." Jade turned to face Tiana, "Your mum is right. Marry him discreetly."
Leah looked at her mum, and Tiana maintained the face she gave her daughter. "Dad won't be happy," Leah said.
"I will handle your daddy, baby. Do this first. You love Alpha Tim, don't you?" Tiana asked, trying to convince her.
"I do, Mum. I love Tim."
"Good. I will send words across to Emilia. We should get you married before your dad returns; this way, he won't have any choice but to give you his blessings."
"Thank you so much, Mum," Leah said, giving her mum a warm hug. "I love you, Mum," she said, taking herself back from the warm embrace.
Jade smiled happily. This was going to be the first discreet wedding, without the knowledge of the pack's alpha. Once Tiana left Leah's room, Leah slowly walked to Jade. "Do you think this is the right decision?" she asked.
"You want to be with Alpha Tim, right? If your dad changes his mind, you know you won't be able to be with Tim. If you ask me, this is the better opportunity," Jade encouraged Leah.
Leah knew this was not right, but she was madly in love with Tim and was ready to risk it as long as she could be in his life. She thought, "Dad loves me so much; he's going to forgive me anyway." She thought about it and agreed. Her mum and Jade were happy, and they decided to wed them.
Morning met Leah, both anxious and happy. She knew she was doing the right thing by marrying Tim and would be happy as his Luna. However, her heart ached for her father's blessing. Her door opened to reveal a smiling Jade with different wedding gowns in her hands.
"How are you more excited than the bride, best friend?" Leah said to Jade. "Because my best friend is getting married," Jade replied and dropped the dresses on the bed. "Now get up so we can see which dress is going to make sure Tim's eyes doesn't leave you for a minute." Both girls giggled, and Leah ran into the bathroom to freshen up.
Hours later, Leah was trying out the dresses Jade had picked out. Wearing an intricately designed white dress that hugged her slender figure, she tried some other dresses and settled for the blue dress, adding a unique and elegant touch. A floor-length gown with delicate lace details and subtle embroidery, complemented by a flowing A-line silhouette. For a touch of glamour, consider embellishing the blue dress with subtle elegant stones like crystals. They scattered across the bodice and used to create intricate patterns. "This is it," Leah said after seeing how the blue gown hugged her slender figure. "Jade, I'm picking this," she screamed. Jade took a proper look at the dress. "Perfect," was all she said to Leah.
Leah's mother sent a message to Alpha Tim's mum, Emilia, with the thrilling news of a positive response from Philip's pack.
"Now that she has agreed to marry you, what's the next line of action?" Emilia inquired, her excitement palpable.
"It says it will be discreet, so I'll marry her as soon as I can," Alpha Tim replied to his mother.
Emilia took a seat next to him, a glint of joy in her eyes. "Then let's get you married. She is the perfect mate for you," she chuckled.
Tim nodded. "Leah is strong, Mum. Even though she can't shift, you are right about her being the perfect mate." He clicked his teeth thoughtfully, then added, "I will marry her under the full moon."
Emilia turned, smiling at him. "That way, you'll get the blessings of the moon goddess. I'll send word to Tiana. The next full moon is in two days. Preparations need to be made."
