Chapter 5 - chapter five

Tim's POV:

Tim had returned to his house and saw his mum taking coffee. "Welcome home, son," Emilia said to him. Tim turned in her direction, using his eyes to search the environment for Leah. "Where is Leah?" he asked in a whisper.

"I'm sure she's in the bedroom sleeping. I spiked her orange juice in the morning," Emilia replied.

"I won't want to drag her into our business. She doesn't need to know," Tim said to his mum, pouring himself a glass of water.

"Hmm," Emilia sighed, then said, "About business, how is it going?"

"We are moving fast now, extracting enough blood we can and distributing as much as we can," he replied.

Emilia smiled; their business was bringing them enough wealth and fame to the family name. "What do we do about Leah?" Emilia inquired.

"Do you love her?" Emilia added. Tim turned to look at his mum, and just then, Ricky came in.

"Any news?" Tim asked when he saw him, and he beckoned him to enter his study.

"I'll be back, Mum," Tim said, assuring, and walked to meet up with Ricky, who was headed to his study.

"The last shipment has been done. Ten barrels to Asia," Ricky said.

Tim just stood and scanned the room; something was off. "Someone was here," was all Tim said.

Ricky turned around. "How do you know?" he asked. When Tim wasn't replying and just stood at the door, he asked, "Where is the Luna?"

"Sleeping; she can't come in here. Someone else was in here," Tim said.

Leah's POV:

Leah strolled down the path as the sun began to set, casting long shadows. The dimming light made her pick up her pace. In the distance, she spotted a small house radiating warmth from its lit windows. Urgency gripped her, and she sprinted towards it.

Reaching the door, she found it locked. Frustration building, she pounded on it, calling out, "Is anyone in there? Can you hear me?" Desperation led her to grab a stone, breaking the lock. Slowly pushing the door open, Leah was met with a shocking revelation—Tim's secret business.

Inside, she encountered female lycanthropes, some pregnant and others cradling infants. Overwhelmed, Leah approached a girl, gently touching her face. "What happened to you?" she whispered, eyes wide with disbelief.

The truth unfolded as the desperate pleas of the captives echoed. Weak lycans were captured by Alpha Tim, their blood extracted and turned into capsules for other packs, while those with a bit of strength were forced into childbirth, their babies trafficked.

Leah, grappling with shock, gathered her resolve. "I'll be back by nine PM. You must gather enough strength to escape," she declared.

Disgust marred her expression; she couldn't fathom Tim's inhumanity. "I can't believe Tim," she muttered under her breath.

Needing a leader among the captives, Leah found a strong, new arrival, who told her she was captured two nights ago. This gave Leah reasons why Tim wasn't there to consummate with her. "You'll be in charge. Guide them west. I'll meet you there," she instructed, then turned and walked away, hiding her emotional turmoil until she was out of sight. Once alone, she let her tears fall, staggering as the weight of the situation hit her.

Returning to the house, she took a covert route, slipping into her room. Time was ticking; she discarded her dress and headed for a quick shower. As she immersed herself in the water, the door creaked open, revealing Tim's unexpected presence.

Caught off guard and fully exposed, Tim saw her naked then said, "I'm sorry; Mum said you were sleeping, and I didn't want to disturb you. I came to check on you," he stammered.

She stood in front of him butt naked, she was so beautiful to behold. The areola is generally smaller than 40mm in diameter, her breast is curvy and beautiful. Her skin shined brightly as the water dripped down her body.

"I was in bed all day" she replied him. "Would you want to join me Tim?" She asked flirting.

Tim watched her as she turned around and raised her face to the water.

"In as much as I want to be in this water with you, shower you and do the same, let's do this some other day. I'm sorry," he smiled, picked up the key he left on the table, and turned to leave. Then Leah said, "You can tell your mum I won't be having dinner. I'm tired."

Tim nodded and stepped out immediately. She obviously had been in bed all day, her face all puffed up, her pretty face and sexy body.

Tim rushed down to meet his mother and Ricky, wearing a long face. "What's with the face, Mum? Leah said she won't be having dinner too," he asked.

"Tim, Ricky came bearing bad news and it needs urgent attention," Emilia informed.

"Ricky?" Alpha Tim called out.

"Someone was at the warehouse, every single good has been moved," Ricky replied.

"What do you mean moved? Where did those low-lives go to? How were they able to escape?" Tim roared in rage.

"Gather up some men. I'm sure they've not gone far. Carry enough weapons as you can. Search the woods," Alpha Tim commanded.

Leah stepped out from the shower. She rushed and got dressed in black leather pants and a jacket, brushed her hair out and packed it in a messy bun, wore her black boots, and stepped out.

She came down to a quiet space. She took the back door and began to walk slowly out of the compound, making sure no one saw her.

Once she got close to the woods she went west. Wasn't long before she saw them, waiting for her. Leah quickly rushed to them. "Are we ready?" she asked; they all got up at the sound of her voice.

"You never told us who you are," one of the ladies said.

"I am the Luna, I married Tim two nights ago. I never knew about this secret business, I am here to help now," Leah explained briefly and they took off immediately.

They had gone five kilometers when they came to an abrupt stop. Leah was standing facing Ricky and Tim with his men.

"Leah, is that you?" Tim asked. Leah kept quiet and didn't say anything. "Leah, let's talk about this," he added.

"Say it from there, Tim," she said to him.

"I promise you, no one will get hurt. Just come to me," Tim said, trying to assure her.

Leah battled with herself; she hadn't faced anything like this before and these lycanthropes had trust in her. "I'm going to talk to him, no one moves and no one will get hurt," Leah said to them.

"Tell your men to lower their weapons; no one gets hurt, Tim," Leah said to him. Tim turned to face his men and said, "You heard your Luna, do as she says."

What Tim said gave her hope to walk to him; she came facing Tim face to face. "I know this doesn't sit well with you, but together we can grow, and you will get used to it," Tim started. Leah looked at the moon, and it was a half moon.

"Tim, these are my kind. Did you plan to turn me into one of these?" she asked. "Never, Leah, you know better," he said to her.

"It's a family business, Leah; we can do this together and make more wealth and have power as well."

"Is that all that matters to you? Wealth, fame, and power?" Leah shouted at him. "Tim, it's time to stop now," she added.

Tim held her hand and used his other hand to wipe off her tears. "Did you ever love me, Tim?" Leah asked.

Tim opened his mouth to talk when he heard a loud bang, and Leah's body fell towards him. He touched her back and saw a bullet hole. "Ricky, quickly get help!" he yelled. "Leah, can you hear me?" he shouted holding her body.

"Boys gather these lycanthropes and take them back to the warehouse, keep watch and guide." Tim commanded his men.

"Ricky!" he screamed.

Leah's POV:

Leah felt her body drop onto Tim's, and suddenly, everything went blank. When she felt she regained consciousness not knowing it's her spirit, there was an eerie emptiness around her. Tim's voice echoed in the distance, but he was nowhere to be seen. A luminous path appeared, inviting her to follow. As Leah walked, her heart raced, and the distant howls of werewolves filled the air.

The radiant light led her to a still figure. Leah bent down to touch the body—it was a lady, light-skinned with blonde hair neatly gathered in a ponytail.

A soft swooshing sound drew Leah's attention, and she turned to witness a breathtaking sight—the Moon Goddess herself. Ethereal and serene, she exuded a luminous aura that bathed the night in a gentle glow. Clad in silver robes that shimmered like moonlight on water, she symbolized mystery and grace. Her eyes, reflective of the cosmos, held the secrets of the night sky, while her silver hair cascaded down like a celestial waterfall.

"Moon goddess..." Leah gasped in surprise.

"Child," the Moon Goddess replied.
