Dorothy peered through the small opening of the door, her eyes darting between me and Abigail. "Am I intruding?"
"No, come in," I said, beckoning her to come forward. She opened the door fully and entered, closing the door behind her. She marched in with purposeful strides with a file in her hand.
She placed the brown file on my mahogany desk and clasped her hands together in front of her. "The list of employees and their details, arranged in the order you requested.
"Thank you," I muttered, opening the file. My eyes scanned through it. Satisfied with the delivery, I closed it shut. "This was done perfectly."
"Thank you, Marah," she replied. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Abigail cocked her brows upward as she spun her head in the direction of Dorothy, her eyes traveled down to Dorothy's shoes then went back up swiftly and turned her attention back to me.
