The next day, Kristine asked for a favor from the Robinsons to visit the cattle ranch and they granted her request. She was escorted by Anna, Laurel and Damian who was forced to go along with them. When they arrived at the cattle ranch, Rachel and Elena alerted me. I was making a manure out of the decompositions of the cows at the ranch. I hurriedly washed my soiled hands at a tap following them to check out if they were truly here. I sighted them at a corner and I could see Kristine's hand crossing over to that of Damian's shoulders. I tried leaving there to continue with my work but unfortunately the devil's advocate Anna had seen me already where I was with my friends peeping at them.
"Hey pauper come over here!". She called out to me aloud while I exchanged glances with Rachel.
"Who's that girl? I have never seen her before." Rachel asked me with a low tone.
"A cousin to the Robinsons. She's calling me on a purpose and just to cause unnecessary dramas again." I said to Rachel walking towards them.
When I got there, I exchanged glances with Damian staring at Kristine's hands that were lying on his shoulders. Anna noticed my distraction and decided to get back at me because of the last time Damian scolded her for laying her hands on me. Damian was only following laurel's instructions not to be a dumb ass. Anna cupped my face pushing it towards her direction. I looked at her face confused at why she did that.
"She's looking at her love who is already into another woman and not her. These slums would never learn tchhw." Anna said aloud hissing at my face.
"Who's she? She's so pretty to be a worker of a ranch." Kristine asked naively.
"You're making a huge mistake being nice to this desperado. Don't associate yourself with someone like her Angela Kristine." Anna added.
Damian folded his fist angrily while Laurel kept making sure he kept his cool. Laurel had to join into the conversation to prevent Damian from fussing up. Damian couldn't watch Anna insult over again in his presence. She wanted me to react so that I would be punished for stepping on the toes of the bourgeoisies since I stood no chance with them. Kristine was looking at me smiling but I wasn't returning back the energy. She was being all nice while throwing herself on Damian "whatever".
"Anna it is enough now. I don't know the reason you called this girl here. You know fully well that we don't associate with such people." Laurel said to Anna while Damian looked at me.
"Is this the reason we came over to father's cattle ranch? To watch one of his workers get insulted?". Damian asked them feeling so irritated.
"Why are you supporting her sweetheart? She's just a mere worker and it's not like she matters. To be honest, I'm enjoying everything that's happening here right now." Kristine said to him smiling.
I exchanged glances with her feeling so annoyed by her reply. Damian ordered me to leave as that was the only way to save me from these insults. I left muttering words to myself. I returned back to Rachel and Emman joined us after watching how I was insulted from a corner. He was glad that I was a strong girl now not feeling sad in similar situations like this.
"That Kristine of a lady is so annoying and I felt like rolling her tongue to her back when she was spewing nonsense." I said to my friends feeling so pissed off.
"What in particular got you annoyed? The fact she joined in insulting you or the fact she was all over your man?". Rachel asked me while I became very speechless.
"Rachel not now, she doesn't need such questions at the moment. Julienne I detest the fact that you always keep quiet to those people whenever you get bullied by them."Emman said to me worriedly.
I shook my head speechlessly, staring at my friends. I leaned against Rachel while she pulled my head to her shoulder calming my nerves down. Emman couldn't stop staring at me because he was very about me.
"You're stressing over nothing. Emman I understand that you care about your friend and for you Rachel, you keep trying to push me to Damian." I said to the both of them.
"They're lucky it wasn't me they were trying to bully I would have slap each of them on their ugly faces." Rachel added.
Angela Kristine left the rest approaching us and I was surprised why she came to I and my friends now. It seemed like she was disturbed by the fact Damian supported me and not her when I was being insulted by his siblings. Emman held onto my hand when Kristine approached us and he was ready to face her if she says anything that would hurt my feelings. Rachel looked at her with daring eyes still angry at the fact she got engaged with every girls ladies man.
"I don't know why but I have strange feelings about you. Why do I suspect you about having a thing with my husband to be?". She asked me disgustingly while I twilted my eyes at her.
"Princess of the coast, no one wants your man. He's all yours so there's nothing to feel insecured about." Rachel said to her with a harsh tone while I gave her an eye contact to keep low.
"Are you speaking to me like that huh? You just stepped on the wrong toe yike!!!." She screamed out aloud feeling so irritated.
Her screams attracted the attention of our bosses at the ranch and they were already aware she was the daughter of the almighty respected man. She ordered them to take Rachel away and punish her till she was satisfied. I tried stopping them but they pushed me to the ground while Emman came to my rescue. I cried out my eyes watching my poor Rachel being flogged by a stick. Emman pulled me to his chest stopping me from watching Rachel from being flogged. It was later that Damian got attracted to the scene and rushed there. He was surprised seeing me crying on Emman's arms and there were signs of jealousy though he tried as much to hide them. He stopped our bosses from hitting Rachel any further and was very angry with Kristine for welcoming such disgusting act.
"What the heck do you think you all were doing? Did father order you to do that? I guess no but why? Who's she to give you orders to hurt father's workers?". Damian questioned them angrily while they looked at him afraid of his wrath.
"She's your fiancee. Don't forget that Damian." Kristine added.
They left Rachel, while I and Emman rushed to her rescue. She was sobbing continually and there were cane marks on her neck and some traces at her back. I wrapped my arms round her while she cried bitterly. Emman requested for her hand helping her to stand to her feet. I was not ready to face Damian now because I was very angry with his so called Fiancee. The three of us left them behind going somewhere safe to pay attention to Rachel that was badly hurt. Damian felt very sorry on our behalf and didn't know how to face me because of the mishap Kristine has caused.
