SCARLET'S POV.
I didn't want to respond, observing how his lips curled into a more lustful grin, intensifying my dislike for him. Close as we were, I doubted he was my age; I was probably older, but clearly, he was interested.
"I'm not interested," I sneered, attempting to walk away, but he firmly gripped my wrist and pulled me back.
"I wasn't asking you to warm my bed. Could we be friends?" he asked calmly, and his tone surprisingly caught my attention as I wondered why he sounded so calm.
"Fine. I'm Scarlet," I replied, avoiding his gaze and extending my hand for a handshake.
"Ryder, once again," he smiled broadly, shaking my hand and holding on a bit too long until I scowled.
"My club is opposite the warehouse down the street, one of the Fedele's best clubs. You wouldn't mind coming to turn up while they hold their boring-ass welcome ceremony," he urged, pride and disrespect lacing his voice as he dismissed the upcoming event.
His disdain for the welcome ceremony made me wonder more about who he was.
"Fine, I'll try to come," I conceded.
"I'll ask my men to pick you up if I leave before you," he said, smiling with menacing eyes fixed on me as he took a few steps backward until he vanished from sight.
I stood in the hallway near the door, my thoughts still fixated on the encounter with the young boy when one of Xavier's men pulled me out of my reverie.
"Scar, what are you doing here?" he asked with his usual serious demeanor. He bore scars across his face from battles fought in his human form against shifted wolves, a testament to his dedication to prove a point of being deadly.
Scarface had a habit of calling me 'Scar' instead of my actual name, and I didn't dare correct him.
"Nothing important," I replied, trying to muster a smile, hoping he'd move on. But he persisted.
"Use the opportunity to get the book," he whispered, scanning the area to ensure we weren't being observed.
His words made my heart race. I had hoped they'd forgotten about that damn blue book! Why did he have to ask me to retrieve it now, of all times?
"Take the back route. Everyone's out for the ceremony. Seize the opportunity now, Scar," he commanded, then swiftly left before anyone could notice us together.
My shoulders slumped, feeling like I was carrying the weight of the world. His words shattered my mood, but I knew I had to comply.
But why did he need the book? He never mentioned that. Of course, I wasn't important enough to be given a reason before following orders.
Moving forward, I contemplated my luck in retrieving the book. Scarface had mentioned it was on a shelf in Alpha Eliot's inner quarters, a place I was familiar with, having made Alpha Eliot lose control before and nut on the floor.
How would I take it without getting caught? That was the lingering question.
I reassured myself, determined to find a way as I ventured forward, taking the secluded back route.
Moving slowly and silently, I tried to avoid making any noise. But then, I heard sounds—a group of guards, likely Alpha Eliot's, heading towards the ceremony. If they spotted me sneaking around, it would spell disaster.
Hastily, I quickened my pace, slipping into a dark hallway, hiding behind doors as they passed by. However, a familiar voice caught my attention.
"Suck that cock! Shit! Suck it, baby," the voice moaned in hushed tones.
"I want some deep strokes into my booty hole. I want this meat up my ass," another unfamiliar voice begged, standing and pulling down his shorts, offering himself...
My astonishment was evident as I witnessed Ryder engaged in passionate intimacy with another man. Was he gay? I stood there, bewildered, as I watched the scene unfold before me, the two men sharing kisses and moans of pleasure.
Once they were out of sight, I hurried outside, ensuring no noise would give away my presence. Thoughts about Ryder lingered in my mind. Was that the reason he mentioned not needing me to warm his bed but wanting friendship? Or perhaps he was bisexual? I barely knew him, so I pushed the thoughts aside and continued on my mission.
Minutes later, I reached the hallway leading to Alpha Eliot's quarters. Sneaking in quietly, I closed the door without making a sound. The place was dimly lit, but fortunately, my Alpha blood endowed me with exceptional foresight.
Navigating through the darkness, I finally arrived at Alpha Eliot's quarters. Letting out a relieved sigh, I carefully pushed the door open, inching my way inside.
As I closed the door in silence and turned around, the room suddenly lit up. My eyes widened in shock when I saw the naked figure standing before me—Alpha Eliot! My heart raced, and I felt like my fate was sealed. Why was he still here, and why was he naked?
"Oh, missing me so much that you had to sneak in?" He smiled, stepping closer, and I noticed his arousal beginning to show.
"You could have sent a message, little wolf. I've missed you too," his gaze lingered on me, his hand brushing against my hair and his body intentionally close to mine.
"Shit," I muttered under my breath. This wasn't what I had in mind, but as long as it kept me alive.
"How have you been? How has he treated you? You didn't keep our deal," he held my hands in his, his eyes expressing genuine care.
"I didn't…" I started to explain, but he interrupted.
"I know he didn't let you come over," he said knowingly.
"But now that you're here, let's do something to make up for lost time. I'll be called to the hall soon," he smirked, pushing me down to my knees as he demanded my compliance; snuck up his cock into my mouth and I took over from there.
This wasn't what I wanted, and I felt nothing but my life hanging on it. Despite that, I continued aggressively as he held my head, moaning loudly while forcing my mouth onto him.
"Shit! Urgh, I'm about to come," he struggled to speak, forcefully pulling away and releasing onto the ground, a satisfied grin on his face as he quickly fixed himself up. He was already running late.
I sat on his bed, staring at the empty shelf in front of me. There was no book, not even a sheet of paper.
"You can come to my club to finish our deal. Hope you don't mind a threesome," he chuckled while opening the door.
Surprisingly, it swung open, revealing a figure that made me wish the ground would swallow me whole.
Xavier pushed the door open, both Alpha Eliot and I staring in shock as he walked in.
