XAVIER'S POV.
"It's time, Boss," Jade said, and I breathed a sigh of relief before stepping out of my apartment.
I knew it wasn't really my welcome ceremony. What were they celebrating? My death or...
As I walked out, I sternly made up my mind to stay composed and not cause a scene. This would be seeing my two half-brothers since I returned to the pack house.
I knew there would be a toast to life and brotherhood, which would warrant a smile. But all I really wanted was to put a bullet in their skulls and bury them.
I continued my journey to the hall, settling into my position as I watched everyone else find their seats. Memories of duels played in this grand hall started flooding back. The celebratory feasts under the moonlight and many other events brought the pack together, painting smiles on everyone's faces.
Egro—my ex wife, strode into the hall, taking her place as the Luna of the pack and the matriarch/mafiosi of the Fedele mafia family.
Watching her move, memories of our past love life flashed in my mind. She smiled as she passed by clad in royal attire and expensive jewelries; hierarchy and respect meant everything to her.
Twenty years ago, we were just youthful teenagers deeply in love, unable to control our desires. She wasn't my mate, nor I hers, but we vowed to stay together after she became pregnant with Ryder. A year later, we welcomed our daughter, and we kept a facade of strength until I left without a word.
Yeah I did abandon my family but the truth is I was tricked out of my comfort zone.
But did that give her the right to remarry and raise my kids with my brother?
I provided her with everything she needed, bowing as her husband. Yet, she remarried my own brother — the same man who tricked me into going to the human world!
The thought enraged my wolf, urging to break free, but I fought to keep him under control.
A few minutes later, Ryder sluggishly walked in without sparing me a glance. His clothes were disheveled, and I could visibly see evidence of melting cum on his zipper line. I knew exactly what he had been up to before attending his biological father's welcome party.
It seemed like no one had expected my return, or perhaps they were secretly hoping I'd never come back.
Addison was the last to arrive. He stopped midway and greeted me with a wide smile, one I reciprocated, although I was wary of his schemes. He had a way with words and expressions that deceived people.
After a few minutes had passed, I glanced at the time and realized we'd wasted over an hour waiting for Eliot. I wondered if he had any intention of attending my welcome party. Deciding to find out, I headed to his apartment.
"Alpha is on his way," Shaman Rognar tried to obstruct my path, attempting to convince me to turn back. Ignoring her, I pushed forward. I knew that by doing so, all eyes would be on me.
I took the back route, an easier way to get into Eliot's quarters instead of requesting access through the main route. I've always been discreet since birth, silent as a... I barely made a sound when moving around. It has become my trademark over time.
Upon entering his mansion, everything seemed dark and deserted. It appeared as if there was no one inside. Yet, I made my way to the sitting room, where a familiar scent wafted into my nostrils, exciting my wolf, Jim.
I paused, wondering about the scent. I was sure I'd encountered it before. Jim's heightened excitement pushed me to trace the source. Following the scent cautiously, I realized it led to Eliot's private quarters.
Was it Eliot? I pondered. However, I knew Jim's excitement wouldn't be triggered by Eliot's presence. So, I pushed the door open, and there sat Scarlet, comfortably settled on Eliot's bed while he hastily dressed himself—appearing half-naked before my unexpected arrival.
My gaze locked on Scarlet, whom I had warned to steer clear of these demons. She sat there, a rush of emotions flooding through me—anguish coursing through my veins, my body tensing in distress.
Jim, eager for a fierce confrontation between myself and Eliot, fought to break free. But I restrained him, aware that releasing him in such a state of anguish could severely affect my human body—I still suffered from lupus.
Scarlet avoided meeting my gaze, seemingly praying for an escape that wasn't possible. Yet, there was something different—an apologetic look on Eliot's face.
Decades had passed, but his expressions hadn't changed. When he took Egro away from me, he had that same smirk. And now, having Scarlet perform oral sex on him, that smirk persisted.
I could tell it was a mouth job—the visible traces of melting cum still glistened on Scarlet's chin.
"What are you doing here?" My voice maintained an outward calmness, although everyone present knew it was a facade.
Scarlet bowed her head, ignoring me completely. Despite her defiance and association with my brother, I found myself drawn to her, tangled in emotions I couldn't fully grasp.
Was it the mate bond or something deeper that kept my feelings entwined with hers? Watching her now, a myriad of conflicting emotions surged within me.
"Why ask her when you already know her purpose?" Eliot interrupted, provoking an immediate flare of anger within me.
I resisted the urge to attack him, aware that a confrontation wouldn't end well.We were two good fighters in both our human and wolf form.
"She came for a taste of dick and found it. She may serve you, but she's our mate," he stated, his words sparking disgust within me. He seemed eager to possess the two women I had feelings for.
"Are you willing to buy her again or marry her this time?" I retorted, struggling to keep my composure. After all, he was not only the ruling Alpha of the pack but also the head of the Fedele family.
"Oh, Xavier, you're still stuck in the past," he laughed heartily, aggravating my anger.
"It's been seventeen years. Why are you clinging to it? Egro willingly came to me; I never forced her," he remarked callously.
"Omerta!" I bellowed, stunned by his words about the mother of my children.
"She came, and you didn't refuse? What happened to brotherhood?" I challenged him.
"To safeguard what belongs to your brother," he replied, self-assured.
"I protected her and the kids, didn't I? Unfortunately, love intervened," he retorted bitterly.
"Love? Eliot, you took what was mine, and now I can't even communicate with my kids!" I accused him furthe.
"Did I?" He smirked as he buttoned up his shirt, seemingly unfazed.
"You tore my family apart, took Egro away from me! And now I can't even speak to my kids," my voice trembled with the weight of my pain.
"Xav, that's on you, not me. Gather your kids and build your family with anyone, I don't care," he pointed dismissively at Scarlet. "She's just a toy, but Egro is mine! She's my Luna and the mafiosi of the family. I hope you respect that," Eliot stated coldly.
I couldn't comprehend Scarlet being labeled as a toy and Egro being his... Eliot was incredibly possessive.
My face flushed red as I stood there, utterly stunned. Suddenly, a small feminine voice cut through the tension, drawing everyone's attention.
"Dad, you're needed at the hall for Uncle's welcome party," she spoke softly, walking into the room. A smile spread across Eliot's face as he acknowledged her before saying, "Good, baby, let's go."
He left the room with her, leaving me standing there, my hands clammy and my legs weak. I sank to the cold floor, unconcerned about my appearance. That's my daughter, Octavia!
The revelation shook me to my core. How could Eliot be her father while I'm her uncle? Anger surged within me, uncontrollable and intense. The pain was excruciating.
Octavia was only a few months old when I left; she never got to know me. Egro never told her who her real father was, and neither did her brother.
Oh, Oct, my dear baby...
I couldn't hold back any longer, and hot tears streamed down my cheeks.Sometimes we cry it out,I feel pain too.
