Chapter 12 - Training as a Slime (12)

The gentle breeze caressed Cori's baby cheeks. It bounced ever so slightly as Cori savoured the tea. The chewy texture, the milky fragrance, the cooling sensation! It was by far the best bubble tea Cori had ever had. "If only there were crispy popcorn chicken to pair." Cori wished. Although Cori had lived a poor life on earth, he still managed to experience the comfort and ease of a modern developed civilisation. The current situation was a blessing. "I must find a way to replicate this!" Cori squeaked, trying his best to enunciate but failed in an upbeat squeaking manner.

Observing his surroundings, he realised there were precious herbs all around him. But he had no bag with him. Every time he left the room, the system would re-equip him and every time he entered he would be disrobed.

A slime is still a slime, there were no prominent physical differences in gender except maybe for their colours. Even so, some slimes could still have different colour variation. As for how they make babies, only god knew at this point.

Refusing to give up, Cori decided to finish the bubble tea and store the herbs in the cup for further analysis. So Cori sucked and sucked, after what seemed like eternity, the cup did not empty. It was as if it was bottomless. Fresh bottomless pearl milk tea... it was Cori's dream at one point but it probably became his nightmare at this point... nah, it was still his dream. So Cori decided to might as well return with an everlasting cup of bubble tea. The issue was returning back to where he was.

He wandered around the meadow and came upon a lake. "No... it couldn't be. I'm sure there is no sword or lake fairy in there or anything to do with gold axe or silver axe. That will be so lame," He thought. He continued drinking his bubble tea while relaxing. He guessed maybe he was bottomless too while enjoying his bubble tea. The place looked too serene and there were no critters nor bugs. It seemed like a peaceful place. "Could there be fishes in the lake," he wondered.

Suddenly, a gold salmon and silver salmon leaped into the air. System, "Which will you choose? Do you prefer a gold salmon or silver salmon?" Cori jokingly replied, "Can eat or not? If not I don't want." Of course he sounded like a mouse squeaking and non of it could be inferred as speech. Despite that, the system successfully interpreted it as per normal and used wind blade to sliced and fillet the fishes in front of Cori, making them into fish kebab. If there were no crispy chicken, fish kebabs were acceptable too.

Fulfilled, Cori made his way back and sat back on the chair. He guessed that the chair was the only way out. And true enough, the system brought him back to the room and Cori earned an everlasting cup of refreshing bubble tea.
