Sebastian took Poppy back to her room for a proper nap while Jen was left to check out this 'Relationship Agreement' that he pulled out.
"No. 1: No one is allowed to be angry overnight- communication is the key."
"No. 2: The two parties need to be honest, with trust in their hearts."
"No. 3: Date nights need to happen at least every two weeks- each party has the right to reschedule, 2 times a year, otherwise they will receive a bad record."
"Ok, which kindergarden did he get this agreement from?" Jen didn't want to finish reading it, "Sebastian??" She called him, without much patience in her tone, "Come here for a second."
"Yes?" Sebastian showed up, this time with a cat in his arm, "Today is Lucy's day off, she left after making us breakfast, and no one is taking care of the babies now. Why did you call me?"
Jen was a little delighted to see Sebastian holding a kitty softly, but she quickly remembered why she was upset- "Why did you write this agreement? I thought it would be more serious. What is this, a joke?"
She pointed at the rules that were listed out, waiting for him to respond.
"What, you don't need to organize the date nights, I will do it, but you just have to show up," Sebastian said while rocking his body back and forth so that the kitty would settle down.
"What happens when you have to work a lot? You do realize you are the CEO of YD? The biggest company in town?" Jen's eyes widened, she couldn't believe how childish Sebastian was acting.
"I am just a pretty face for YD. We will make time." He said, walking away to put the cat down, "I am happy to see that you are discussing the details with me. So you don't mind signing it if it has some minor changes?"
Jen could hear the smug in his voice.
Yes, she didn't mind the agreement. Actually, she felt relieved that it was Sebastian who was involved in this deal and not some annoying rich douche that she couldn't possibly stand.
Jen didn't say anything, but Sebastian knew what she meant.
"So, should I call our friends over and ask them to witness the moment?" Sebastian said while pulling out his phone, pretending to call someone.
"No, no, let's keep this between ourselves." Jen did fall for it, and stood up to stop Sebastian, "I don't want them to know about this."
"To know about us? Tim and Luna already knew, you told them that you live with me now, last night, when you were drunk." Sebastian was a little sad that Jen wanted to hide their 'relationship'.
"No, I don't mean that," Jen corrected him, "I want them to think we are a couple, but they can't know about the agreement."
Jen stopped for a moment, then continued: "They can't know that I am not just Jen, not just Jennifer, but Jenna Ross. They can't know about Rosa. And they can't know about my mom."
"Okay, I will add that to the agreement," Sebastian said while grabbing the laptop.
"Sebastian! That is not what I meant, you know that." Jen rolled her eyes at him.
Sebastian laughed, it was too easy to snap Jen out of her nervous mode, he was getting the hang of it. But he couldn't understand the significance of changing her name- it was just a name, and it was not a big change. Why didn't she want her friends to know?
"See, I said that I needed to give you some explanations, but you didn't want it." Jen shook her head at Sebastian, confused about why he didn't want to know more about her background story.
"I didn't want you to be upset again." He said, not looking at Jen.
Right, every time Jen mentioned something about her family or her past, she ended up being super emotional and Sebastian had to pick up the pieces.
"I promise you that I will be calm this time," She said, asking Sebastian to sit down, "I will tell you the story as if I am out of it. It's like a movie, not about my actual family."
"Should I make us some popcorn, then?"
"Sit, down." Jen grabbed Sebastian's arm while he was pretending to leave.
"Alright, alright, but only if you don't let go of my arm."
