The dimly lit corridor of the dungeon was a depressing sight. Torches lined the brick walls, flickering as I walked by. No wind blew here yet it was cold and damp. The place reflected an aging structure that had seen better days.
But it had not. There were no such things as better days for a dungeon.
Two sentinels accompanied me, their loud sabatons echoing alongside my faint steps. We were on our way to visit the paladins.
It had been a week since I had them sent here. According to a mental report sent by Barleyon, they were not exactly taking their imprisonment well at first. I mean, why would they? Especially since they were elves. I only really noticed their pointy ears after the helpers drenched them in water to wash away the dirt from their hair.
The long hair they both had did a good job hiding their ears. I did not want to admit it, but a small part of me was beginning to believe that they were humans.
