Where am I?
I couldn't remember anything since I had been coming inside this room. The last thing I knew was Carl offered us to drink an amber liquid. Something that I thought was a simple shot of whiskey.
And then everything went blurred. My head was aching and I could feel my body started to fall.
I tried to open my eyes and looked at my surroundings. We were tied up in a chair in front of them. And they were lining up on the chair in front of us like a group of judges. Meanwhile, Jordan, Roman, and I were the defendants who were waiting for our death penalty.
Damn. I fell into their trap.
"Where are we?" I whispered to Jordan.
Jordan groaned and glanced around.
"I think this is the trial Carl said before. Remember?"
Ah, of course. That trial. So this was what Carl meant when he was saying about the trial we should be facing. So that was also the reason for their daunting expressions now.
