Words cannot express Louise's agony as he broke Sonya's car and rescued her. His heart was beating so quickly that it hurt.
He felt her pulse and was relieved to see that she was still breathing. As he carried her to the waiting ambulance, he informed the police that her driver needed medical attention.
As soon as Louise settled into the ambulance, the vehicle zoomed off. The man could only pray that she would make it to the hospital alive.
He lamented in his heart. She was the same woman he had seen only a few hours before, the one he had teased and ruffled until she turned pink. But now she is unconscious and pale.
As the ambulance sped along the road toward the hospital, Louise received a call from his grandfather. "Where are you?" He asked.
Louise wondered if something serious had happened at home because the voice sounded urgent.
He informed his grandfather about his whereabouts and what had happened to Sonya.
