"Sonya," Avni and Brenda exclaimed in concern. "I hope everything has not reached the point where there is no remedy," Avni murmured.
Brenda stared at her sister; their mother was unaware, but she knew the reason for her sister's shock. Louise is the man who holds her heart. The man she adores. Jason has got everyone in trouble.
While they were standing there whispering, some guests caught sight of them and began speaking among themselves. One of the women approached them and inquired.
"Everything is fine, madam Florence; how are you spending your evening?" Avni asked the woman, diverting her attention away from her daughter.
"We should start the fund-raising, Sonya dear; please get it ready," Madam Florence said, looking at Sonya.
Brenda smiled and nodded at the woman, then took Sonya's hand and led her away.
