Louise placed his left hand on his chest, while his other hand reached to take the glass of water which he gulped down in a hurry.
Brenda's heart skipped a beat in fear, seeing Louise cough over her statement and she went to pat his back.
He shoved her away gently and stood up, his eyes regarded her in shock and surprise. Never has he seen a lady so forward and dirty and she was from a reputable family.
"Am sorry, Ms.."
"Ms Ali," Brenda lied, since the man does not remember her name, and she wasn't going to see his face again, she might as well give him a wrong name.
Louise found the name to be incorrect but he wasn't interested. He took his phone and tried to talk to her as politely as he could, "I don't think we are compatible with each other, I will have my driver drop you at your residence," he walked to the door but halted and turned to say, "if you ever see me in the future, behave as if you never met me before." After saying that he walked away.
Brenda plopped her butt on the chair and took her glass of wine to drink it all in a single gulp.
"If you ever see me in the future behave as if you never met me hummp," she mimicked his voice and snorted. "Who does he think he is, arrogant punk. If it was not for my mother's threat, does he think I will be sitting here with him instead of working on my case," Brenda's face was wrapped up in contempt.
When she got home and her mother inquired about her date, she told her that the man wasn't interested in having her as a wife. However Avni accused her of lying to her, claiming that she didn't see her date.
It was later on that she realized that the waiter who ushererd her to the private booth had made a mistake. Her date was in booth 101 but and she was taken to booth 107. And had ended up messing up with Louise Cole.
She thought the man was a pure man at heart and she tried her best not to meet him directly or let him know her real family. But today, it seemed her evil deeds were coming back to bite her. And her sister's revelation has opened her eyes to how shameless he could be but she couldn't show her face.
Sonya was right, her habit of stirring trouble and making mischief has ruined her reputation in front of this man. If she steps out now and Louise sees her, he will question her sister's character and their upbringing. She turned back and moved away to avoid been caught.
Sonya looked behind her, searching for her sister but she wasn't in sight. Louise was staring at her with a teasing smile that she felt like slapping out of his face.
"Where is your sister, did she suddenly disappear or did she find a date for tonight,"
"What is it to you anyway, I came here with my sister wether you believe it or not is up to you," Sonya was annoyed that he didn't believe her and was insinuating that she came here for something bad.
She left him to himself and went to find her sister. More than clearing the misunderstanding that has already formed in Louise mind, she was anxious to find her sister.
She looked around, silently praying that she was not in any trouble. A hand tapped her back and she turned and found Brenda standing behind her, a scarf wrapped around her nose and lower part of her face.
"Where were you?" Sonya asked, she released the breathe she was holding.
"I forgot my purse," Brenda waved her purse in the air and smiled.
"And why do you have a scarf over your face?" Sonya asked, pointing at her face with suspicion in her eyes.
"Hehe, this, I feel like puking with all the alcohol smell in the air..."
"Forget it, let's get out of here," Sonya cut her off and began walking towards the exit, with Brenda following behind her, her face cast downward to prevent Louise from recognizing her.
Louise stepped into the elevator and it brought him up into the third floor.
There were two bulky men in black suit standing guard to prevent unwanted guest from barging in without invitation or VIP card.
Louise flipped his platinum colored card Infront of the guard and was allowed to enter. He walked into the busy club and his eyes skimmed the little crowd of people who were either smoking and drinking, or were watching the performance of the strip dancers.
His eyes finally landed on the person he was looking for and he made his way to him.
"Not nice to see you Jason," Louise said, locking eyes with the man. The man was slightly shorter than him and had a head-full of white hair.
"I have told you I can't help you," the man, Jason sighed but his eyes never left the strip dancers performing.
Louise stared at him and commented, "I heard your teacher is a strict man who despise alcohol and women. He will be very disappointed when he finds out about your secret rendezvous,"
Jason turned his eyes to glare at Louise, "Are you threatening me?" He asked in annoyance and his nose flared. His mouth was set in a thin line and Louise knew he had gotten the man.
"I am not asking for much, I want just a portion of my memory," he replied offhandedly.
Jason struggled to keep the stubborn front but he couldn't. A second later he gave up and asked, "which memory? You should note that I am not a sorcerer and can't help you much,"
Louise smirked. The man was already cornered but he was still being cheeky with him, nevertheless he explained to him how he felt and about the doctor that triggered his memory but he didn't mention her name.
As he didn't mention her name it saved him the trouble of looking for the man later, because Sonya is Jason's senior apprentice sister.
If Jason found out that it concerned her, he wouldn't have agreed to it. One reason been, their teacher was trying to arrange a possible groom for her.
"Okay, come to my place tomorrow, you will stay for a number of three days with me for the procedures," Jason said. His attention fixed on the dancers on stage.
Louise sighed as a glint flashed in his eyes. In three days he will get his memory and find out what the woman was hiding.
Far from the country in the dilapidated building where the woman was held hostage.
The duct tape that was around her mouth was gone, but her hands were still chained to the bedpost. She looked less miserable than before. And it appears that the man had decided to clean her up.
The door opened and her captor walked in with a tray in his hand, containing food and water.
"J," the woman called the man, her eyes stared at him like a puppy and she forced herself to smile at him. He hasn't beaten her lately and was now taking care of her.
She looked into his eyes before looking at the tray and said, "the food smells nice,"
The man she called J spared her a dull glance before he started feeding her.
Although she had complimented the food, the actual taste was far worse that it looked. Without a change in her expression, she ate the food and swallowed it, even though he was shoving it into her mouth forcefully.
She was in her best attitude as she didn't want him hitting her with the chains or starving her. He feed her fast as if he had more important things and the woman struggled to eat and swallow.
However, as she was a human and not an animal, she choked on the food and threw up on him and on the bed.
"F***! You b**ch! You ruined my clothes," J thundered.
'SLAP'
Before an apology would leave her lips a hard slap landed on her cheeks. The tears she was holding back until now, slide down her cheeks but she bit her tongue to stop herself from crying out. One thing she has learned was that J disliked the sound of a cry. He will not spare her if she opened her mouth to make a sound.
She prepared herself to receive his wrath when someone barged into the room.
"What is it, I told you I want to be left alone," he scolded the person with a frightening glare.
The person who barged in turned scared by the minacious aura he was releasing and stutterd, "Ms. Sonya...has...met... Mr Cole,"
The news was enough to escalate the burning fire in his eyes and he lost his cool. His hand grabbed the tray of food to throw it across the room.
"Get the car," he barked.
The informant was quick to leave the room and J threw a glare at the woman and the mess she created before he matched out of the room.
