"You girls should go inside and have Sonya redo her makeup; I will see what is going on," Avni said dismissing them.
Sonya wanted to say something but she decided against it. After her introduction and formal meeting with Pearl's associates, she would go and see for herself. Although she has decided what to do, the heaviness in her heart didn't leave and it continued to keep her restless.
After an hour, the party officially began, with the MC calling the guests' attention.
