POV: Wolf Fang Bandit Leader
Scene: Outside The Carriage
==================================================================
"How long are they going to make us wait? Do they think we have all day to waste on a bunch of snot nosed brats?" I said, trying to sound as confident as possible to his underlings.
Ash: "That's right Boss Wolf Fang, who do they think they are to waste our Boss's time?"
Cannon Fodder 1: "Brother, you're right, only Emperors and Kings can make our Boss wait on them."
Cannon Fodder 2: "Emperors? Kings? Tch, who do they think they are to make our mighty Boss wait on them."
Cannon Fodder 1: "Brother you're right, how could I forget? Those so-called Emperors and Kings are nothing in front of our mighty Boss."
Ash: "That's right."
Cannon Fodder 2: "Idiot, next time don't make such a mistake or before Boss makes a move I'll take your head off."
As his underlings (Cannon Fodder) which he didn't even bother to learn their names except for his right hand man Ash, bootlicked him. He started to wonder how he could have such idiotic buffoons as underlings.
[If only, you idiots knew anything about the world you would have known we're attacking someone we should have never crossed paths with. Dammit, why did I even agree to this…?] I fearfully said to myself, otherwise these bunch of cowards who only attack the weak and fear the strong would have already escaped with their tails between their legs.
If I wasn't tricked by that black robed man, I would have never taken on such a stupidly dangerous job.
If only I wasn't blinded by greed.
Damn him…
Every time I think about how I ended up in such a scenario, all I could think of was, I was screwed.
If I don't accomplish the mission the Soul Binding Contract would take my life.
And even if I did accomplish the mission the Heartfilian Royal Family would track me down, no… before that happened he was sure his life would be taken by that Dark Mage's underling. Which he knew for a fact has been following him ever since he accepted the mission.
If even someone as powerful as him resorted to hiring some thugs, he would never let the news get out.
And the best way to do that … damn it.
I should've known fifty gold coins was too much for a simple assassination job.
No… not even Royal Gold coins would be enough for this assassination mission.
Who would dare attack someone with close ties to the Heartfilian Royal Family?
Especially not these blabbering idiots.
Not even the four strongest gangs would dare.
Yet, I, a would-be third rate Gang Leader, accepted such a suicide mission.
But it was already too late.
Only after I signed the Soul Binding Contract did he tell me who I was assassinating.
THE FREAKING GRAND DUKE'S ONLY DAUGHTER, SCARLET ERN HEARTFILIA!
NIECE OF KING EDWARD ALUCARD HEARTFILIA!

POV: Arthur
Unaware of the feelings of the despairing Gang Leader, I stepped out of the carriage with the triplets, Leo, and the old butler trailing not far behind me.
To my surprise, the bombardment of different colored and shaped spells previously being thrown at the carriage without a care in the world stopped.
Not that I minded them stopping.
With the dust cloud previously blocking my line of sight now gone, I could clearly see the soldiers… no, the bandits as Yuki had previously said.
And after seeing the twenty of them, I knew for fact they were definitely not soldiers and if they were, I felt bad for the kingdom or empire they supposedly serve.
As for the triplets, Leo, and the old butler, they were equally stunned, looking at the "soldiers" now realizing why I had previously called them fakes.
A kingdom's army would be organized in some kind of formation, right?
As for these soldiers, no lets call them gangsters from now on, they are clearly disorganized with no idea how to properly work together.
They were huddled into various groups of numbers. Some of them argued between their groups pushing, shoving, cursing, some were even fighting amongst themselves.
They had visible tattoos on their faces, arms, legs, etc.
Some tattoos were in the shape of derogatory images, which I would rather not state.
A few of the gangsters even had their armor on backwards… As for how that was possible? Your guess is as good as mine.
Guard 3: "I was hoping they were real soldiers, not just some nobodies."
Guard 2: "Third brother, if they were real soldiers, you would have had a ten percent chance of survival. How could these scum possibly compare to real soldiers?"
Guard 3: "Then what are my chances against these wannabe Dragon Empire soldiers?"
Guard 2: "Third brother, even with your eyes closed your chances of beating them would still be one-hundred percent."
Guard 3: "Second brother, you shouldn't look down on people too much, scum they may be, but don't you see their armor and weaponry, it looks quite real, no?"
Guard 2: "Ninety-nine percent chance then."
Guard 1: "Alright, enough you two! It's better that they are fake soldiers, we need to hurry back to the capital to get our young miss cured."
Leo: "At least we don't have to worry about the fight."
The Old butler: "That is indeed true, son, an old butler like me isn't qualified to be fighting with a nation's army. As for these common riff raffs, I think my back can last long enough."
When I heard their comedy act while seeing the gangsters' faces turning livid, I couldn't stop myself from letting out a chuckle.
Only to realize my mistake a second later, when the already livid gangsters charged while cursing.
"Damn them!"
"Kill them!"
"Even gangsters have feelings."
"And what do they mean by wannabe Dragon Empire Soldiers?"
"What Dragon Empire Soldiers? Brother, don't listen to them, our Boss Wolf Fang got these custom made for us. Don't you remember?"
Some charged with their weapons raised, while a few stayed in the back as they started chanting…
Seeing that the battle was starting, the oldest of the triplets?... I really need to learn their names. Anyway, the more mature and steady of the three, summoned his shield and battle ax as he stood in front of us with waves of earth element exploding out his shield before a literal wall of earth could be seen protecting us from the onslaught of colorful magical attacks.
As for the bespectacled, smart "Second brother" literally vanished, he was standing there with the triplets a second ago, but as soon as I looked over to see what the oldest of the triplets was going to do, he vanished.
But the most surprising one out of the three was the youngest and previously rambunctious one, who now had a focused look unlike before and had taken out a wand and started chanting…
As for Leo, he had already charged into the fray with a fiery great broadsword in hand.
The old butler; however, … was standing with his arms behind his back like he was some kind of grandmaster.
Whatever, I need to focus and contribute to the battle.
I don't want to hitchhike for free…
[Tsk, liar!]
Ignoring Yuki, unlike the youngest triplet who had taken out a wand before chanting some kind of magic spell.
I, on the other hand, raised my arms and clasped my fingers in front of my chest before I closed my eyes and muttered, "Haste, Boost, Elemental Resistance." In quick succession, earning a raised eyebrow from the old butler.
