Chapter 12 - Scarlet Ern Heartfilia

Hearing the familiar clicking, Arthur and Yuki looked over towards the door where they could see a floating waist length scarlet haired young girl.

She wore a frilly bright pink long sleeve shirt, white culotte shorts, and black knee high socks…

That's unfair… Arthur thought.

"L-lets go, shall we?" Scarlet said as she fidgeted.

Arthur, knowing that it was impolite to stare, blushed as he said, "Sorry".

"I-Its okay… Anyway Father and Mother had given me a few artifacts before my trip to the Dragon Empire, as a means to ensure my safety. One of them is this" Scarlet said as she extended out her hand and a black rotating box appeared on top of her palms.

"Hmm, that is?" Arthur asked not wanting to make a guess even though he could feel space magic similar to when Yuki had cast Gate to "save" him.

"This is a one time use, two in one spatial artifact which when used will teleport the user and anyone he or she is touching to where the other connected spatial artifact is, which is with my Father." Scarlet replied as she reached out and grabbed a corner of my shirt.

"Wow, a life saving treasure like this spatial artifact must cost a fortune, right? Luckily, we don't have to use it." Arthur said despite having spatial affinity, he was impressed with the builder of such an artifact.

Not understanding Scarlet used her mana to cutely tilt her head in confusion as she said, "Hmm, what do you mean? Do you have another way to leave this space?"

"That's right, hold on tight to my shirt and you will see"

Scarlet did not understand, but she decided to trust him rather than using her one time life saving treasure.

Noticing Scarlet's hand holding onto his shirt, Arthur closed his eyes to concentrate; his method was to teleport out of the space, though similar to Scarlet's method, he; however, was going to use a much cheaper, multi use method, by utilizing his spatial affinity. The last time he tried to cast Teleport before he could even utter the spell's name he had failed. Though that was because he didn't have a vivid enough memory of his destination.

However; this time, he knew his destination.

As Arthur recalled what he had seen before the explosion he didn't know whether to laugh or to cry…

Although, the battlefield from before was ever changing, with the enemies dying, and especially with the environment becoming riddled with craters from magical attacks from both sides.

And despite Arthur's God given photographic memory, he did not pay much attention to the battle after his buffs because he was more preoccupied with something else.

And that being…

There was one place in particular that for some reason, stayed the same and that was, near a hundred or so foot tall "apple" tree, where the old butler stayed and watched the battle the entire time as everyone else fought.

Not only that, at some point in time, the old butler who had before the start of the battle stood straight with his hands behind his back had taken out a white foldable recliner chair with a built in umbrella and table. Like the ones on airplanes.

He even had cookies and some kind of drink, most likely milk or coffee…
