Chapter 8 - Heart of Esclave

The sun, a distant orb in the Enclave's sky, cast its ethereal light upon the state of the enclave. As Adam and Adair embarked on their final journey aboard the floating device toward the heart of Enclave. As they navigated through the city, Adam, grappling with the uncertainties of memory loss, was immediately struck by the enchanting, albeit disorienting, charm of the surroundings.

The streets themselves became a blend of cobblestone paths leading the way through the city. Glided along the intricate paths, Adam couldn't help but be mesmerized by the city's harmonious Adam's gaze swept across the ancient lanes, their timeless charm intersecting with holographic displays projecting announcements of futuristic innovation. The fusion of two distinct eras created an otherworldly atmosphere, adding to Adam's sense of displacement.

Despite the ethereal beauty that adorned the streets, an undercurrent of tension lingered in the air. It was palpable in the wary glances exchanged by the city's inhabitants, the whispers that ceased abruptly upon their approach, and the guards stationed strategically at various points, their watchful eyes hinting at hidden unrest.

For Adam, the harmonious yet discordant blend of architectural styles echoed the disarray of his fragmented memories. The captivating aesthetics clashed with the inner turmoil of his lost recollections, leaving him in a state of bewilderment and fascination. The enchantment of the city's beauty became entwined with the confusion of his memory loss, leaving him with a sense of wonder and perplexity at the same time.

As they moved deeper into Enclave, the scene changed. There were tall, new buildings mixed in with the old ones. The towering edifices with sleek glass fronts reflected a city evolving into a future that eluded Adam's comprehension. These colossal structures seemed to tease his memory loss, portraying a world just beyond his grasp.

Amid this vista, a singular structure emerged, acting as the central hub of Enclave. It dominated the largest area across the land, essentially covering the heart of the enclave and extending its reach across most of the state. This building bore the essence of a style that encapsulated both ancient architectural elements and the essence of modern design, embodying the unique character of Enclave's fusion of past and present.

"Get ready, we have arrived," Adair's voice chimed through the air.

"Wow!" Adam was taken aback by the grandeur.

"Isn't it beautiful? This is the place you stay, the heart of the enclave, and the academy of the enclave. Ironically, this is the most cursed place where we are trained to serve them," said Adair with a looming tone.

'Sure he hates this place. After all, it's where we are made a slave, just like the world. The more beautiful the world is, the more cursed the place becomes,' I thought to myself.

Soon, the glass covering the floating platform came off, and the air felt heavy and different compared to the celestial realm. Can't compare the celestial realm to the mortal realm

"Here, take this," Adair handed me a card, "Show it to the guard. He'll let you inside."

"My duty as a guide ends here. Good luck and survive," Adair said with a smile.

Adair's guidance came to an end, leaving me to tread forward alone. His words resonated within, a comfort amidst the unfamiliarity. "Thank you. If it weren't for Elsa and Adair, I'd be overwhelmed and would have lost my will," I expressed, reflecting on how both Elsa and Adair's support became my sanctuary amidst the chaos.

Adair smiled and advised, "Remember, strength isn't the main hold for survival; it is wisdom."

"Don't worry. I'll make it through. Let's meet again later," I reassured him.

"Sure! Don't disappoint Lady Elsa," Adair responded warmly as he rode the floating device back to his destination.

Wow, he is sure a devoted one I wonder what has she done for him well time to move forward.

Arriving at the academy's door, a guard appeared, his face covered by a mask.

"New here?" he asked.

"Yes, kind of," I replied, handing him a card. He scanned it and gestured for me to follow.

As I entered, I was stunned by the vast green ground and different departments.

"I have verified your permit. I'm going to teleport you to the dean's office door. Knock before entering," the guard explained.

I nodded, relieved that he'd given me a warning, unlike someone who nearly gave me a heart attack.

He picked up the card held to my chest and influenced it with a blue aura, blurring my vision. I found myself at an unfamiliar door

Surprised and shocked again by those weird auras, 'Focus! Right, focus on the present.' I swallowed hard as I knocked on the door

A voice appears from behind the door, "Come inside".
