Chereads / The Alpha King’s Chosen Mate / Chapter 14 - Maybe A Curse

Chapter 14 - Maybe A Curse

This girl was insane.

That was what Jaziel thought, he had never seen a woman like her, the softness of her lisps and the look in her eyes when she stared at him.

The electric he felt, and the shiver that ran through his body, nobody has ever made him feel that way.

She moved away from him before he could react to her, her head went down in embarrassment.

He swallowed, and didn't know what to say to her. Quickly, he sprung to his feet and hurried out of the room, slamming the door behind him.

What was that about?

He had felt her lips on his, she had reached out to kiss him? Why would she do that and disorganize his thoughts?

He had walked past his Beta without knowing, the only thought he had was the feel of her lips on his.

"Alpha?" Sebastian called but it didn't seem that the Alpha heard him, so he stepped closer, leaning a bit close. "Alpha King."

Jaziel snapped out of his delusion, and stared at his Beta.

"What is it?"

"How is the girl?" Sebastian asked. Jaziel's eyes were fixed on him, he didn't know how he was going to respond to that.

He didn't want to have any thought that would take his mind back to what happened earlier. He wanted to forget about it, and think that he it never happened.

"She will be fine." He ventured.

He walked over to his study, he had to look over some documents that would distract his thought. The door pushed opened, and he stepped in with Sebastian who shut the door behind him.

"I have tightened the security within the borders, and the concerning Rolly, does your judgment still stands?"

"Yes." Jaziel replied with a tight lip.

"My orders should be carried out immediately."

"Yes, Alpha King."

Jaziel cleared his throat, and looked over at the documents. "Is this everything that I need?"

"Yes, Alpha. I organize all the documents and kept everyone that you might need in there, as well as the ones that needs your signature. The council request a meeting with you it's among the documents." Sebastian explained.

He nodded, and flipped over the document and paper works on his desk. "You can leave, and assign a new maid to the girl." He knew she had a name but he couldn't help but address her that way.

"Yes, Alpha King."

He turned away and left.

Jaziel was left alone in his study, he focused on the paper work, and the documents that he had to look over. He read through it, and those that needed his signature, he signed on it.

He spend the past hours in his study, reading, researching and writing.

There was a reason he was respected among the packs, the reason no one would dare the Alpha King. He was never tired of learning, and making sure his pack works the way he wanted it.

He turned off the light in his study, and came out. He went to the prison, where Rolly and his men had been kept, he knew there was something else he had to take care of. Those imposters, they had used magic on him, magic that was forbidden in the pack but he has found out, they were the girl's family.

She had lived with them, and why would them want to take her place?

It was only then, he realized he had seen that lady at the hall, she was the one the girl had come with.

With his hands crossed at his back, he stopped in front of the prison door which held Rolly and his men, he had been beaten badly, their breathing were faint but the look in Jaziel's eyes didn't seem like he was satisfied.

"Alpha King." Sebastian bowed though he was behind the King, he didn't react to his greetings.

"Why are they still breathing?"

Sebastian felt tongue tied.

"I asked a question." Slowly he spun around, and Sebastian took a step backward. "Their wolves were quite strong, Alpha."

"I gave orders hours ago, and this isn't the answer that I wanted to hear."

"I'm sorry. Alpha King."

"You are sorry? You know how I hate to hear that word."

Sebastian was lost for what to say to the King, he was going to carry out the King's orders.

"A beta can be replaced." He growled. "This would be your last warning, bring out the men and get me the royal sword."

Sebastian bowed, and scurried out of his presence. He turned toward the prison door, Rolly had crawled to the iron bars, his bloody hands gripped it while pleading with his eyes.

"Have—have m-mercy…"

Jaziel snickered. "You should plead to the Moon Goddess to accept your soul."

"We were only carrying out our duty, in charge of the woods. We won't have dared to touch her if we knew."

Anger flashed over Jaziel's eyes, the fact that he had the strength to talk irked him. They would have done the same thing to her even if they knew, they wanted to be in charge since he had given them that authority.

Which he's going take away from them including their life.

"SEBASTIAN!" He growled, his voice echoed around the prison, and silent fell after. Not a single word was heard from everyone that was locked in or the guards, the only sound that was heard was the feet of Sebastian as he ran.

"Alpha…" Sebastian pants, he held the royal sword in his hand, with a knee on the ground, he presented the royal sword to him with both hands.

Jaziel took them, it was a sword that was made with silver dust, had the power to kill any wolf. It has been a part of the royal household because it could kill a royal wolf as well because of it contains some powers on the moon goddess that was letched in it.

"Bring them out." He ordered, Sebastian straightened himself and walked over to the prison gate and opened it. Jaziel lifted his hand, and stopped him from bringing the men out, instead he stepped in with the sword.

Sebastian had to keep his distance away from the King, or he might got himself stained with their blood.

Rolly wanted to run through the door, his leg was wounded, Jaziel saw it and didn't make any attempt to go after him.

He held his sword out, and struck the first man closer to him, blood splash from the wound, and he dropped dead. He went over to the second wolf and stroked him with the wolf, blood watered on his face, he didn't bother to wipe them off as he moved over to the next.

"P-please." Rolly cried when he saw the Alpha King coming towards him, the rest of his men had been killed, lying against each other.

He was the only one left, and he has managed to crawl out of the prison door.

"Run." Jaziel teased him.

Rolly clasped his hands together, the look in the king's eyes had gone dark, Rolly dropped his hands no amount of begging was going to set him free from the King's wrath.

He had seen the murderous look.

Sebastian turned away when the king struck the sword into the heart of Rolly, blood spurt out of his chest into the face of the Jaziel, and Sebastian that was beside him.

"That's what you should have done a hours ago. Nobody in the pack is above my sword, take them out, sound a warning to everyone in and out of our pack. Nobody must touch my chosen mate."

"She's just a chosen mate, Alpha." Sebastian mumbled.

"Did you say something?"

"Not at all, Alpha."

He dropped the sword on the ground. "Take care of that and drag them away, and throw their bodies in the woods." He instructed.

Sebastian nodded, and called out the guards to carry out the orders of the Alpha.

As he turned to leave, his eyes caught the mother and daughter that had tried to deceived him earlier. They withdrew from his sight, and hid at the corner of the dark dungeon trembling with fear.

Jaziel smirked, they had messed with the wrong Alpha. He marched out of the prison, down to his bedroom. He flung the door opened, head towards the washroom, he turned on tbe faucet and washed his face, the blood on his face washed off, and he proceeded to take off his clothes.

While he undressed, he stared at the scar on his chest, his fingers trailed along the lines of the scar.

He groaned as if the pains he felt that day had been real, his past had collided with his present, he hand held the mirror on the wall for support. His front teeth pressed over his lower lip, hard.

His breathing has become rampant, his eyes were turning teary.

He shook his head serval times to get rid of the awful memories, nightmares that had held him down.

He had swore never to get married but he needed an heir, and that's why he would make Amira do before he push her away.

No one deserves to be with a beast like him.
