She could not remember the night before but he could. She had come to him drunk and passed out on him. This had been unexpected.
The bouncer of the club had approached him asking that he should take his woman home and he knew trying to explain to the bouncer was a waste of time so that was what he did.
He tossed her over his shoulder and walked out of the club.
There she pointed to a car which was parked on the street as she drunkenly said that it was her car.
He then proceeded to drop her inside it and drive the car to his estate where he had placed her in a bed.
She had started to mutter gibberish about getting back at someone before removing her clothes which had him looking away.
With a sigh of disappointment at how she had acted, he walked out of the room, shutting the door on his way out.
"How do I reach out to you then?" She asked getting his mind back to the present. "It's not like I have a fax machine or a telegram or something. Do you at least have a telephone? A mailbox? Social media? Anything?"
"I'll see you tomorrow," he said, ignoring her words as he pointed to the gate. "Don't bother looking for me. I'll find you."
This was a creepy thing to say she thought to herself before getting into her car to drive away.
"Can I at least know your name? You do have a name right?"
This woman was really a drag, he thought to himself before deciding to at least give out his name.
"Alastor," he groaned, getting out a remote control which he pointed to the gate and pushed a button on it.
The gate immediately opened as she found this to be her cue to leave.
"I guess I'll see you later… Alastor," she smiled before driving out of the courtyard.
While driving out of the yard, she looked in her rear view mirror to see the gate automatically closing as he walked back into his house with his hands in his pocket while his body glistened in the sun.
"So cool," she smirked. She wondered how many women he had lured in like that.
He had a mysterious aura about him that she wanted. He knew what he was doing with that sexy brood of his over his face.
She knew nothing about the man but she did know that from what she could see he was a son of a rich man. Maybe a senator or a president or something.
She had not asked but she was making assumptions. After all, he was too rich to have made all that money himself.
Janet was a firm believer that old men were the ones who were allowed to have money like billionaires. The youngsters could run around for scraps.
Now Alastor did not look young but she was still sticking with her ideology.
He did not behave like he needed money but he lived on his own because he was tired of his father's political career and needed a break from it.
This was the assumption she was going to work with seeing as he would not say anything to her.
Now that she was thinking about it, she wondered why he had chosen to live in the middle of nowhere.
She drove on and on before stopping her car in the middle of the road. With a push of a button she turned on her GPS before plugging her phone to her car.
She found the map telling her to keep going straight and followed it. Within a few minutes she was out of the estate and onto the road leading to the club.
What kind of name was Alastor? She thought to herself.
With a shrug, she decided it was not her problem. She would go with him to the wedding or recital or whatever she would be invited to with him as her date.
Her phone buzzed countless times as she looked to find out they were missed calls from Jake. His text messages followed soon enough and she parked to the side of the road to go through them.
'Hey can we talk?'
'I'm sorry for not telling you earlier. Can you forgive me for that? It's not really my fault.'
'Why are you not answering your texts?'
'Where are you? I can't reach you.'
'This is going to be my last text to you since I've called you like a hundred times without you replying. The venue for the wedding would be at the town garden. I hope to see you there.'
She read the messages with hatred in her heart and caught herself crying. With a grunt, she cleaned her face from the tears and decided that he could go to hell for all she cared. She was not going to be broken anymore.
She had a plan and she was going to stick to the plan. Alastor would be her plus one and at the wedding she would announce their engagement and all of that bullshit people did all the time. She would not be sad anymore.
'I know you read the text,' a new text from him showed up on her phone as she rolled her eyes. Was he trying to be slick?
He had already hurt her countless times already, why was he asking for her to be at the wedding? That was a cruel thing to do but she was done feeling sorry for herself.
Thanks to the drink she had yesternight she had met a new guy who would make her forget him and his betrayal.
As for Randa, her best friend, she could go to hell. She could die with her baby in the worst ways possible.
Janet was beyond being a good person at this point. With what had happened to her she did not care if the couple died in a train accident or fell into a volcano.
