She could tell that the man was dangerous and was not to be messed with.
"You seem to know a lot about how I got here and I don't want to say that we… did anything but I'm choosing that we did not. But I do want to ask a question, did we enjoy it? Because I'm all about consent and I want to know if we consented to us being together last night?"
He did not reply to that and felt insulted that she would think him that low.
He didn't need to answer those questions and she could tell from his death stare that he was not having any of her stupidity this morning.
"Fair enough," she pouted. Jake suddenly entered her mind again as she felt inclined to bring up the favor which she had bottled up in her mind. "I've got a favor to ask from you."
It had been a while since he had heard such words from anyone.
He raised a brow for her to go on with her speech as she did so.
She was scared and downright desperate but she knew this was the only way to get her honor back and get back at her ex boyfriend.
"Will you marry me?" she asked.
In all his years on the planet, this had been the first time anyone had ever said such words to him.
Even the lovers he had had in the past dared not say such words to him and this mortal from a night ago was bold enough to ask for this ridiculous thing.
What was this? A genie and his favors? How dare she? She was being rude at this point and he was not having it.
At first shocked at her favors and then confused, he found his lips curling into a real smile.
All he had been giving were lip raises which made it look like he was smiling when in actuality he was not. It was a delusion from the human side who would think he had been friendly.
This time, he was smiling. But just as he had broken out of his own skin he canceled it and got back in without wasting time.
She was a funny little girl for trying to tempt him but he was going to resist her without even trying.
Janet found his lips curl into a real smile for the first time since their interaction began before it suddenly got erased.
She felt at ease the moment the smile appeared but felt tense when it disappeared giving her the notion that he was not pleased with her favors and she tried to correct herself.
"I'm sorry if it came off as rude or anything and maybe caught you off guard but I didn't mean get married like that. Shit. This is harder than I thought."

He found her fumbling to be a very funny thing, but he was here for it.
"What prompted this?" he asked, making her aware that he was invested in her worries.
"You don't know everything I suppose," she chuckled nervously, catching herself so as not to get on his bad side.
He raised a finger to her as his patience was beginning to wear thin before catching himself.
She was like jelly. He could kill her in a thousand ways within a second and not feel any remorse over it. After all, he did not know her and she was just like every human on the planet. She was nothing special.
He did not care about her and all he wanted her for was his amusement. The minute that was over, she was as good as dead to him.
"My bad," she apologized. "I'm sorry if I came off as rude. I'm trying to lighten the mood here but you're not giving me any chance to do that. You're giving off a very dark vibe and…"
"Be direct and answer my question," he whispered but the whisper was enough to strike fear into her. Who was this man who spoke like a god and made her shiver? She wondered.
"F-fine," she sighed. "My boyfriend of whom I have been dating for five years suddenly called me up after having a fight with me for a while yesterday and broke up with me.
"He said he had found someone else and he was going to get married to her."
"The problem was that he did not give me any warning beforehand about his intentions and he led me through the relationship asking me to think that he was going to be with me.
"He wasted my years… five years to be exact and here he is going for someone else. Do you even know the reason for this? It was a theory that he had brought up saying that I was barren.
"He said that he had been watching me for some time and I had not gotten pregnant for him. Apparently every time we had sex he would cum in me and I would take my pills so I would not get pregnant.
"However, he told me he had swapped my pills a long time ago and I still was not pregnant. Because of this little thing he could have worked out with me, he had gone to get someone else pregnant which signifies that he had been cheating on me.
"And you want to know the worst part of this? The person he was sleeping with behind my back and whom he had gotten pregnant was my best friend! How crazy is that?!"
While she gave her sob story, he had a blank expression on his face. He did not care about her troubles at all. He wanted to get to the good part where he was involved before he would weigh if this was worth his time or not.
She found him to be bored of her story after he had yawned before leaning back in the chair with his hands clasped around his midsection.
