Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 Put Her Down

Jade Springfield's response left Laurie Murray stunned. She looked at Bun again with a new sense of pity.

"Two days more?" Iris Simpson frowned. "There's a lot to do at home and Betony is still at university. We don't have time to waste. We have to pack tonight and immos tomorrow morning."

Iris Simpson had heard that Jade Springfield was going to the Imperial City, so she thought that Jade Springfield had agreed to come back with them. This result was all in accordance with Iris Simpson's expectations. What would she accomplish by staying in town? Unless Jade Springfield had a screw loose, she wouldn't turn down the offer to come back to them.

Jade Springfield didn't even blink when she looked at Iris Simpson. "I mean, are you misunderstanding something here? I'm only going to Imperial City to help Bun find his family. What does that have to do with you?"

Iris Simpson's expression turned ugly at that. She had thought that there was no way Jade Springfield would turn down her offer to return. Now that she was being this insufferable, Iris was definitely angry.

At this thought, Iris Simpson did not continue the tagline any further. Instead, she turned to Laurie Murray. "I was planning to bring Jade Springfield back to the Imperial City so she could get the best education. That's right, has Jade Springfield gone to school yet?"

Jade Springfield was a special case. Iris Simpson was concerned that she might be illiterate.

"She has. In fact, she Jade is very smart. At scis, she was already attending kindergarten." Lauric Murray was full of praise.

A normal child would go to kindergarten at the age of three. She only attended at the age of six, and they called him smart? Iris Simpson was so relieved to have left Jade Springfield in this town.

Laurie Murray wasn't done yet. "When she was seven years old, Jade finished the entire elementary school curriculum."

Iris Simpson and Betony Springfield were stunned.

"Jade is a genius. When she was eight years old, she had learned all the cultural knowledge in her program (high school studies by herself. At nine, she had finished high school," Laurie Murray said proudly. ,

Iris Simpson asked softly, "Jade Springfield said cso?"

"Yeah. Jade dropped out of school when she was nine and entered the real world. In her sophomore year, Jade came back, with quite a few PhD certificates from some lipo," Laurie Murray continued to boast of Jade Springfield.Bun looked at Jade Springfield in admiration and moved her small stool to Jade's side. He moved her a little more so he could get closer to her.

"Grandma Murray, you must be kidding! Could a 10-year-old get a PhD certificate?" Betony Springfield's Lono hid a hint of sarcasm.

"It's true. What's there to keep lying at my age?" Laurie Murray raised her voice and continued, "Our Jade is very strong. When you entered our town, there was a pond on the east side. Jade took it upon herself to build it."

When Iris Simpson and Betony Springfield first entered the town, they had seen a huge pond of peccs. I was surrounded by people fishing there. "Grandma Murray, you're exaggerating. Jade... did my sister really commission that pond?" Betony Springfield looked at Jude Springfield. She really couldn't find any words to describe Jade Springfield's outfit, except Bun looked at Jade Springfield in admiration and moved her small stool to Jade's side. He moved her a little more so he could get closer to her.

"How am I exaggerating? I-" Just as Laurie Murray was about to say something else, she was interrupted by Jade Springfield's voice.

"You don't need to explain yourself to people that they don't matter."

People who don't care.....

Iris Simpson rose to her feet, her face stern and hard as she looked at Jade Springfield. "You are from my family, the Springfields. You are from my own flesh and blood. There is no way I would allow you to stay in a place like this forever. Think about it tonight. We'll be back tomorrow."

As Lauric Murray watched Iris Simpson begin to say goodbye to her, he quickly called out to her, "Ma'am, will you stay with me?"

Iris Simpson took a look inside the house. Although he was neat and tidy, she reeked of too much of the country. She was someone from the upper class; a woman of her condition simply couldn't bear this.
