Chapter 10 - Chapter 10 Serves You Well

"Misunderstanding, my foot!" Henry couldn't help but swear.

Veronica Cedar's face was covered in Henry's saliva. She smelled like cigarettes, not the most pleasant scent.

Henry pointed to the red plastic bucket in the middle of the pond. "The boss cube is still there, and you keep talking about a misunderstanding!"

Veronica Cedar's eyes went round as saucers as she turned to look at the floating plastic bucket. She was absolutely flabbergasted!

The passers-by were dumbstruck at the sight. They seemed stupefied; it was as if they had heard something incredible.

After a long silence, Veronica Cedar craned her neck to face Henry. Her words fell over each other, almost to the point where she could barely speak. "Henry, you must be wrong. That plastic bucket is from Jade Springfield..."

At the mention of Jade Springfield, Henry almost jumped. "My eyes may be wrong, but I'm not blind! I can definitely recognize Jade Springfield's bucket!"

" Veronica Cedar sucked in a breath. She had finally realized that the boss she had offended was Jade Springfield!

No wonder Jade Springfield had told him before this that she was never coming back. This fish pond really belonged to Jade Springfield!

"Then why didn't she say it before?"

"That Jade brat is keeping a low profile!" As he said this, Henry greeted the others. "Stop fishing. Everyone should go home. Ilaz whatever you gotta do!"

The villagers who were dragged into the fiasco voiced their grievances.

"Henry, this has nothing to do with us, right?"

We weren't the ones who offended Jade Springfield."

Henry stared at the stingy villagers, suddenly finding the sight ugly.

"Now do you all know how to talk? When Jade Springfield was bullied before, why didn't any of you stand up for her then?"

Henry's words left everyone hanging on.

shame.

"Don't think I don't know what's going through her head. They're just jealous because they saw her eat so much fish!"

Henry pointed to the plastic bucket floating in the water, To Veronica Cedar, he yelled, "What are you doing there? You really don't want to fish here anymore? Go find it!"

"Hey?" Veronica Cedar took another look at the bucket in the middle of the pond. She was so far away, and not remotely near any of the pews. How was she going to get it back? Besides, if she was going to retrieve it herself, it would be very embarrassing.

Henry watched Veronica Cedar stand idly by, then waved to the villagers. "Go home everyone! Whoever is still fishing will be charged!"

The villagers also understood what was happening. One by one, they directed the blame toward Veronica Cedar.

"You, hurry up and get it back!"

"Just because you don't want to fish doesn't mean we don't!"

Under the anger of the villagers, Veronica Cedar could only bite the bullet and pull the rod out of it.

The bucket had floated so far that it couldn't be retrieved even if she used something to roll it up. She could only get into the pond and swim to retrieve it.

Her new $599 clothes! Putting aside the fact that his clothes were soaked from this splash, they now had two holes that the water grass had cut. His heart was bleeding!

She retrieved the bucket, but she had kicked the fishing pole into the pond. It would be hard to get it back since she had sunk to the bottom.

At that moment, Veronica Cedar's insides twisted with grief.

It was the foot of her damn her. The fishing rod was only half submerged. She could have been retrieved from the side of the pond. Why did she need to add osa last kick

She wasn't done yet. That bucket of fish...she couldn't catch fish by herself.

At the end, the villagers dumped the fish they had caught into Jade Springfield's bucket and Veronica Cedar returned them.

They were equally sorry. When Veronica Codar had messed with Jade Springfield earlier, they shouldn't have stood by and watched. In a sense, they deserved it.
