The other nurse came towards Soobin and asked,
"How are you feeling? How's your headache now?"
"I'm fine! It feels like I've recovered fully. And I'm feeling refreshed as well." Soobin replied smilingly. Seeing his cute smile, the nurse was fluttered. She was trying her best not to smile and act professional.
"Okay…even if you're feeling all better, I'm gonna inject some more medicine so that it'd boost your energy. After this IV drip, I think you can go home." She said with a grin.
"Why? No! I don't think he has recovered well yet! Look at his pale face….and…his hands…I think….I think you should check his hemoglobin as well!" Arin was getting hyper as she was worried while Yeonjun was still listening attentively to the other nurse.
"Ma'am, we've already checked his hemoglobin levels and the other important tests. All the reports are fine which are in her hand." She pointed at the other nurse who was talking to Yeonjun.
"But still…." Arin couldn't be consoled by her words.
"Don't worry ma'am, he just needs to eat well and rest well. We've done everything we could. Also, he's a strong boy. If there was anyone else in his place, they'd be dead by now compared to how long he was submerged in the water." She made Arin believe that Soobin was alright and she didn't need to worry much. The nurse looked at Soobin, hoping to see his sweet smile once again. Unfortunately, he was in deep thoughts after hearing the nurse. Noticing that, Arin agreed with the nurse.
"I know he's super strong, right?" she patted Soobin's back to divert his mind. Soobin snapped back and faked a sneer at the ladies. The nurse changed the bag of the IV drip and moved away.
Meanwhile, Yeonjun was done with listening to the other nurse and came towards Soobin.
"So, do you wanna go home?" He grinned.
"No!" Both Arin and Soobin rejected Yeonjun, making him surprised.
"Why?" Yeonjun asked, being flabbergasted.
"I…need to…go to the…. Washroom first." Soobin said in a very low voice as he was too shy to say it. Yeonjun smirked as he found him very adorable.
"Psst! Hey! Listen!" Arin held Yeonjun's arm and pulled him closer, making him lean towards her all of a sudden. Yeonjun gasped as it was totally unexpected for him.
"What?" Yeonjun asked astonishingly.
"How can you take him home? Don't you think he's hiding something? What if something bad happened to him while he was alone? How'd you leave him alone again? What if…" Arin couldn't finish her word. She was whispering a bit loudly, though Soobin couldn't understand a thing.
"Who said I'm going to take him to his house? I'm gonna take him to my house, alright? I know he's hiding something from us and I've already planned everything! So, you don't have to worry!" Yeonjun also whispered just like Arin was. Then, he moved away when he noticed Soobin looking at them with his suspicious eyes.
"Ah! Then I don't have any objection! You can take care of him." Arin gave a thumbs up as she liked the idea.
"Then, let's go to the washroom first," Yeonjun said, extending his hand toward Soobin. Soobin didn't take his hand, trying to stand up by himself instead. Unfortunately, he tripped, losing his balance because of his feet.
"Woah! I can't feel my legs." Soobin laughed a little bit while grabbing Yeonjun's hand. Yeonjun held him tightly and wrapped his one hand around Soobin's waist.
"It's okay, you have me." Yeonjun grinned and said.
"Look! They look just like balloons!" Soobin took a step further and pointed at his feet.
"Don't worry. They're gonna be fine." Yeonjun chuckled as he found Soobin's worried face cute.
He held Soobin and the IV drip's stand to help Soobin walk to the washroom. After that, he went to help him inside.
"I-I can manage from here! Y-you should go!" Soobin was too embarrassed when Yeonjun said he was gonna help him while using the toilet.
"Can you? What if you get unbalanced again?" Yeonjun was worried and this was the reason he didn't have any dirty thoughts in his mind. All he wanted was to help his beloved one.
"I said, I can! Y-you just go and stand near the d-door." Soobin wanted to hide his face because of his embarrassment.
"But…" Yeonjun couldn't be sure if he would really be fine.
"Just GO!" Soobin shouted.
"Okay okay, call me if you need a hand. I'm right here." Yeonjun smirked because this time he was teasing him willingly.
"I get it!" Soobin was done with begging him to leave. At last, Yeonjun came out and stood right behind the door. He was holding the saline stand while Soobin pushed the door from inside.
While waiting for Soobin, Yeonjun was thinking about something. A few seconds later, he called him by his name.
"Soobin-ah!"
"Hm?" Soobin replied from inside.
"My mom…do you know why I left you that day? I didn't have any intention to leave you alone. But I had to. Do you want to know the reason?" He said in a serious tone.
"Why?" Soobin asked curiously.
"My mom is also admitted to the hospital. My dad called me that day." Yeonjun was talking in a serious way.
"Is she very sick? You should go visit her instead of staying here." Soobin was a bit worried after hearing it.
"I went to visit her this morning. She'll have her surgery tomorrow morning. But, you know what? I didn't want to go visit her. Instead of listening to what dad had to say, I was getting mad at him when he called me." Yeonjun sighed while saying.
"Why?" Soobin was surprised and curious.
"Because, he called me after a long time. I've been kicked out of my house and this is why I'm still mad at them." Yeonjun said.
"What? But why?" Soobin asked, a bit loudly. The sound of flushing water came from inside as Yeonjun looked back. Soobin was fixing his clothes when Yeonjun opened the door and entered. Noticing that Soobin couldn't stand still, he grabbed him. He saw that the lace of Soobin's pants was untied. Yeonjun bent down, he placed Soobin's hand on his shoulder to help him stand steady. As Yeonjun began to tie the lace, Soobin felt his touch on his hips and crotch. He gulped as he realized his heart started beating fast.
"Do you want to know why?" Yeonjun asked after standing up.
"Hm?" Soobin couldn't understand as his mind was diverted to somewhere else.
"The reason why they kicked me out?" Yeonjun asked, grabbing Soobin's waist again to help him walk outside.
"Why?" Soobin tried to look at his face, but couldn't as he was right behind him.
"Promise me first that you'll also tell me about yourself." Yeonjun finally said what he wanted to say.
"Trust me, you won't want to know." Soobin said after being quiet for a moment. They were coming to the room slowly.
"You're wrong. I love you and this is why I want to know everything about you. What you were before, what happened to you, what you feel, what is going on with you, every little thing about you is important to me, get it?" Yeonjun reassured Soobin with his serious tone. In reply, Soobin took a long breath.
"Don't regret me later." He nearly mumbled.
"No! I will never! Even if you were a criminal, I won't judge you nor think negative about you. Because I already know some things about you, but those aren't enough for me." Yeonjun stopped as they came to the bed. He made Soobin sit on it. Arin was standing a little far from the bed. She was preparing to leave. She came to Soobin and held his cheeks to make him look at her.
"Take care, ya?" She said while adoring him like this.
"I'm leaving him in your hands." She looked at Yeonjun and said.
"Yes, ma'am!" Yeonjun bowed as if he had just received an order. After she left, Yeonjun approached Soobin and sat down on the bed, facing him. He gently covered Soobin's legs with the blanket, then looked at his hands, hesitating for a moment before touching them, hoping for a response. He took Soobin's hands in his own.
However, Soobin immediately shook off Yeonjun's hands. Yeonjun was taken aback by the sudden action. He was worried that he had said something wrong and that Soobin was angry with him. Feeling dejected, he withdrew his hands and stepped back.
