Kelvin left the conference room, and Selena trailed behind him, her mind filled with thoughts about his earlier confession. They took the elevator to the thirtieth floor and entered Kelvin's office.
Seated behind his desk, Kelvin noticed Selena walking slowly, her head bowed, lost in her thoughts. Calling her name, "Selena," he prompted her to raise her head and share her thoughts.
Seating herself across from him, Selena took a deep breath and replied, "Nothing."
Kelvin, perceptive to her lies, chose not to press further. Nodding, he said, "If you say so. It's lunchtime; I'll order something for us to eat."
Declining politely, Selena shook her head, "You don't have to. I'll just go to the cafeteria to eat."
Kelvin was about to respond when Jorge entered. Turning his attention to Jorge, he asked, "What is it this time?"
