ARAWN CLAN
It was the night of the full moon in the Arawn clan. The hunters who had completed their training were to be celebrated this night. During this ceremony, they would present new hunting tactics they had learned. The event typically took place in the clan's amphitheater, and other clans would come to congratulate them. The audience was seated in the small arena, while Arawn and his family occupied a podium, giving speeches. To the left of Arawn's family sat the group that had finished their training, arranged according to their skills. The highest seats were reserved for the marksmen, including gunmen, deadeyes, snipers, riflemen, riflewomen, gunners, and archers. In the second row sat the straight shooters, dead-shot marks, sharpshooters, and crack shooters. The first row featured the combat masters, all dressed in white trousers and shirts made of khaki. The middle row wore dark green cargo pants and black T-shirts, while the last row donned black leather pants and black leather jackets. The trainers and weapon keepers were seated behind Arawn's family, wearing the uniforms of their trainees.
The ceremony began with the clan's anthem and motto, with everyone standing. Afterward, they all took their seats as the master of the ceremony began. The ceremony proceeded smoothly, with no one aware of the danger approaching.
The blood moon pack's warriors were in the forest of the Arawn clan they listened as the members of the clan cheered in appreciation. Darrell smirked evilly as he knew the hunters were unaware of the boom that would be falling on them soon. Leading the group was the midnight wolf that belonged to Darrell behind were two other wolves one white and the other dark brown and it was bigger than the rest of the wolves in the woods. Later the vampires arrived with their army of about twenty members. Darrell led the group to the borders but as soon they started moving. Melvyn moved in front of the black midnight wolf.
"Where are the witches? Did we not agree with them that they were going to go before us to set the place on fire to create chaos?" asked the confused vampire. Growling Darrell transformed back to his human form and he angrily answered.
"What did you expect after you had killed the coven leader did you think they would want to protect you anymore your attack made them withdraw their help. Thank you for that." Darrell said sarcastically
"Well her witch attacked one of my own and when you attacked one of mine you attacked me she even tried to destroy our daylight rings but we were first we managed to escape before she could end our long life." Melvyn lied as he tried to defend himself though he knew they had made a big mistake of attacking the witch instead of looking for the truth. The witches would end their race if they wanted after all they were the ones who had created them they had a big fight with Reece after they had escaped being roasted in the sun by the four angry witches. But the vampire full of pride would not admit the mistake. Darrell saw it was pointless to argue with the vampire and transformed back to his wolf form. The moon was not at its peak yet meaning that many of the werewolves still had a small grip of control over their beast form. They left for the Arawn leaving behind Clive and the third in command Fergus and all the tracking werewolves so that they could make sure that no one escaped the vampires went first and using their vampire speed they went snapping the necks of the guards at the borders the werewolves followed after they went tearing everything apart the kids that had been left in their houses started screaming creating alarm iris who was sitting between her parent she could not understand if it was hallucinating or not but after she hands it for the second she left the amphitheater calmly not wanting to create a distraction. On coming out of the amphitheater she heard the screams loud she started running in the direction of the screams and not far from the residential houses she saw a girl running with a baby in her arms. When the girl came near her she jumped in the air and landed on the brown wolf that was chasing holding its neck she squeezed the air out of it with her two hands it fell into the dust with a thud. She then ran back to the amphitheater and walked to her father who was giving a speech she whispered about the situation outside.
"Everyone we are under attack all hunters that are graduating today get your weapons as you pass here the old hunter go save our home Arawn and his wife were the first to come out for the amphitheatre each of them with their weapons ready to fight Iris their daughter was closely following them she had her quiver full of silver arrowhead, in the inside of her leather jacket she had ring daggers. Her father had a 50 caliber pistol in his pocket and a 22 caliber sporting rifle in his hands while his wife had a katana across her back and a pump action shotgun. The rest followed them each with the weapons they had specialized in. Darrell was destroying everything that came his way. He left bodies on his path.
FLASHBACK
Basil was looking for Jumanah she had rejected him after she found out that he was a werewolf. Jumanah had always despised her prey. That day he remembered like yesterday though it was one hundred years back. The hunters had attacked the pack and then called the moon pack that was the first time he had encountered a blood hunter. His parent came to his room and told him to hide in a room that was hidden below his bed but as his parent opened the door the most beautiful scent reached his nose. Instead of following his parent's advice he followed them outside to find the source of the good scent. He was halfway through the corridor when the lifeless body of his brother came flying to where his feet were. And following was the source of the intoxicating smell. With her katana in hand, she came in when she saw Basil standing there looking at her as if she was the only thing in the world she became compelled by the most beautiful eyes she had ever seen. They were olive green the man had plump lips. The magnetic connection was cut short when an older lady than Jumanah came in and she shot Basil but he was quick and took Jumanah hostage so the older lady could not shout anymore. As he held her soft body against his body he could feel the sparks everywhere their body touched. He moved backward slowly until they were far away from the war. He then turned her around slowly such that she was now facing him he admired the beauty before him his wolf was threatening to come out any moment especially now that Jumanah kept wiggling her body to set herself free from the beast though her heart said otherwise.
"Young lady I suggest you quit moving your body around if you do not want me to take you right now in this woods," Basil whispered into her ears huskily which resulted in a shiver through the body of Jumanah. Basil was very pleased as he realized the effect he had over the lady in his arms
"What about you let me go if you love yourself," Jumanah demanded as she tried to reach for the ring dagger in the side pockets of her jungle green cargo pants but the lycan so her plans and held both of her hands on one of his and the other he was caressing her cheek which resulted to Jumanah spitting on him.
"A feisty one I would like to see you trying to fight me. Maybe you do not understand the situation here you're the mate I have been looking for the five hundred years I have been walking this earth and know that I have you I will not let you live anymore," explained Basil.
"how can that be even possible I don't want anything to do with a cruel monster like you, so you better stop playing games with me and I promise that I will spare your life if you do," Jumanah said angrily. Basil was very disappointed when she said that she did not want anything to do with him, he was torn when she said that she called him a monster he remembered how he had been going from pack to pack looking for his mate. He remembered that he was denied his rightful position of alpha of his pack because he did not have a mate and his wolf became more and more in control such that they built him a dungeon specifically for him for that time he was not in control. And now the mate he had been looking for was calling him a monster and did not want anything to do with him. At that minute he was dumbfounded Jumanah remembered that once her mother had told if werewolves did not want their mate they could reject them so that they could break the bond between them.
"I Jumanah of the Arawn clan reject you, Basil of the moon pack," Jumanah said. They both fell as the pain of the bond breaking overcame them. That's when Basil snapped out of the love spell and remembered that the huntress in front of him had slaughtered his family. He started rising from the ground to finish her but she was first, swiftly she reached for the ring daggers in her cargo pants pockets and stabbed him in the stomach then she woke up and ran away. Basil was left bleeding on the ground. Back in his pack house, he had lost everyone in his family. But when everything seemed as if it had ended that's when Meryl found him and saved him and took care of him. He had then discovered that he had two mates hence. He took in Meryl who by then was a rouge and they started rebuilding their pack fresh.
He had vowed to make the life of Jumanah a living hell if he ever managed to capture her. And now that he had found the chance he would not waste a single second. The battle was getting more intense as more hunters continued to pour out of the amphitheater. Arrows were flying everywhere and there were deafening sounds of screams and growls many people were killed and others were badly wounded. Basil searched everywhere and finally, he saw Jumanah and Arawn fighting some wolf. He planned to lead them away from the village in the wounds where the other werewolves were waiting there they would be outnumbered and it would make it easier to capture them. He went running to where they were fighting mind-linking the wolves there to leave him to deal with them when Jumanah so the big brown wolf coming toward them. She took out the katana ready to slay the wolf. But when it got near instead of attacking them it went past one of the kids that were running on the battlefield confused and bit and started running with it in his mouth. On seeing this Jumanah who was the only one who had noticed this went running after him to save the poor child not knowing it was a trap when Arawn saw Jumanah running he tried to call her back but she was moving to quickly and he was forced to follow her in the trap. Once the hiding wolves saw that the two hunters were in this space they came out covering them from all sides. Arawn managed to shoot some of them but they were too many and soon they started jumping on him. He fell on the ground dropping the guns that were in both hands the big brown wolf kicked them away with his hind legs. Jumanah was waving her katana around and she got some of the wolves that were near her. Basil then returned to his human form and he told Clive and Fergus to shift back into their human form and hold Arawn for him. When they had Arawn secured within their hands Basil shouted to Jumanah to stop fighting anymore.
"If you want us to kill Arawn then continue fighting my men," Basil told her in a cold voice. When she had the voice she seemed as if she had been paralyzed as she remembered the voice she had rejected. When Basil saw her shoulder tense she smirked
"Someone seems to have a good memory I will be more than happy to tear you into pieces right now but because my son might need you alive I will not kill you now. But I will do it but fast you will watch as I kill your family as you killed mine then I will kill you slowly and painfully." Basil said in an evil voice. She turned around slowly dropping the katana on her feet and she raised her hand in surrender. She knew better than to try her chances of survival in this situation. She just hoped that she would get a chance to escape. The other wolves turned and held her down as her husband they thoroughly checked their clothes for any weapons or something that could help them escape taking everything with them they tied them with ropes
"Now I shall go and join the fun you may enjoy yourself, boys," Basil said as he went back to the battle.
Back in the battle field things were getting heated. Iris did not notice that her parent were missing as she tried to kill as many vampires and wolves as she could and she succeeded the battlefield field which was a few minutes back was the home of the hunters and was now filled with blood and body parts everywhere. Vampires were busy draining the hunters' blood and snapping their neck once they were done with them. But also the hunters were killing them with their wooden bullets and wooden arrows. Darrell was busy fighting two of the hunters who were on his back trying to stab him with their swords but he kept throwing them off each time they laid their hands on him. All of a sudden he smelt a good scent it smelled of vanilla and pine it made him get distracted the hunters took this opportunity to swing their swords and slash their shoulders howling loudly in pain. He turned around and sank his long canine in the ribs of the hunter who thought that he had worn and was starting to stop be alert, and threw his lifeless boy on the ground. When Iris saw this she took her bow and one of the silver-head arrows and aimed but when the black wolf looked at her the world stopped and it was only her and the wolf. Darrell could not believe his eyes the source of the sweet smell was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. Iris could not believe it she wondered why she found a wolf attractive she had not felt an attraction like this before. She had devoted her life to hunting. And she had always thought love was a weakness and so she did not allow herself to love. On the other hand, Darrell was wondering how on earth he could have another mate and to make matters worse the second mate was a hunter. They are supposed to be enemies, not mates. They stared into each other's eyes not believing that this was happening to them. She lost the grip of her bow and arrow. The sound of the arrows hitting the ground was the one that made them snap out of their little staring competition. That's when Darrell remembered that the smell was the one that was lingering in the air where her wife was lying wounded. After he remembered that he saw red. He went charging to his wife's killer not giving her time to pick up her bow and arrows that were on the ground. When Iris saw this she took her ring daggers from the inside pockets of the leather jacket she was wearing and she started running towards him with her ring dagger raised ready to strike. There were bodies beside them and all they seemed to notice at the time as they angrily tried to kill each other. Darrell was snapping his teeth at the huntress who was swinging her daggers around as she tried to get a better position for her to stab the wolf they continued going in rounds. That is when his beta decided to mind-link him the information about the parent iris this made him become distracted a little and that was what took Iris to get the moment she had been waiting she raised her dagger to strike. Too engrossed in their fight they did not notice an old lady chanting a spell in the bush near them, a white blinding light appeared between them, and the next thing Iris started feeling dizzy and she fell on the ground. And as quick as the light had appeared it disappeared. Darrell looked around for the huntress who was ready to stab him to death but she was nowhere to be found. Realizing that was probably the work of a witch he howled loudly that the whole shook every werewolf that was alive started retreating to the forest. And the vampires followed them as they dripped blood. They met the other werewolves where they were holding Arawn and Jumanah captive. Darrell thanked Melvyn and his gang of vampires for the work they had done.
"I thought we were going to kill every last one of them. I was enjoying back there." Asked Melvyn as he wiped his bloody mouth with a white handkerchief.
"Yeah we had agreed on that but then I just found out who attacked my wife as I was about to kill her she was whisked by some kind of magic. There would be no point in going on with the war when our main intention would not be fulfilled, and we were losing some of our people in that war. So I saw it would be good if we stopped the war because we now have their leader in our hand and soon they we come looking for their leaders." Darrell explained. After hearing this the vampires went back to their home and the wolves took home the two prisoners and their wounded members who were taken directly to the pack hospital to be treated. After the prisoners were securely detained in the pack dungeon.
