CROW COVEN.
When the witch whisked away Iris, she woke up to find herself in a small log house in the forest. She almost had a heart attack when she turned to her side to find the face of an old woman 2 inches from hers.
"Where the hell am I?" Iris asked as she got up and sat on the bed where she was lying, she looked around the room and took note of how beautiful and comfy. Then all of a sudden, all her memory came rushing back to her memory. She abruptly stood up and started searching for her bow and her quiver as she got into fighting mode as she discovered that she was being held hostage by a witch she did not want to be sorry later if she gave the old witch a chance to escape.
"Young lady I know what you are searching for and am so sorry to inform you that you will not be getting to use it because I took it and kept it well for you. I promise you that your weapons are safe and secure, but I want you to hear me fast before you decide to kill me." The old witch informed Iris who was walking towards her intimidatingly.
"Where did you put my weapons, you know very well that I don't need them to harm you now if you love the little part of the life left of you, I suggest you tell me where the damn weapons are so that I may go and continue saving my people. If you give me my weapons, I promise to spare your life though you rudely stopped me from killing my most wanted enemy I will try to forget that and spare your life. Now give them to me so that I may be on my way already." Iris said threateningly to the old witch who did not seem fazed at all. She seemed a little bored with the tantrum that Iris was throwing.
"I would like to see you attempt to attack me." The witch said to the huntress under her roof whose patience was wearing thin. When the witch was close enough Iris threw her fist, but the witch caught it in the air and twisted her arm painfully on her back. Iris tried to take a vase that was on the bedside table but by a simple spell, the table and everything on it disappeared. By a spell, there was a chair behind Iris, and she was forced to sit on it and when she tried to get up from the chair she could not.
I hate to say this, but you hit like a girl." Iris was flaring up after hearing this. She always hated when someone tried to diminish her fighting skills. She sat on the chair as she started planning on a new trick on how to save herself. "I am Nina, and I am a witch and as a witch, I have many abilities and one of the many abilities is to foresee things." Nina introduced herself.
"And what does that have to do with me." Iris angrily asked.
"Oh dear, it has everything to do with you, and trust me if the message am about to give you did not benefit me the warning that am giving you, I wouldn't even bother to give it to you. I would have left you to die on the battlefield. But you are important to the supernatural world alive, and I have to play my part in trying to keep alive, so you better listen here carefully." Nina said to Iris who was getting on her last nerve. "I had a vision and in it, you were fighting with alpha Darrell of the blood moon pack and then you shot him with one of your silver-headed cross arrows. And instead of him dying alone you both feel and die. When I looked closely, I discovered that you had the same type of burnt wounds and in the same places. As you may have discovered are you mates with the alpha? It looked as if not only were you mates but also you had been linked together. So, you can thank me for saving your life back there. In the other part of the vision, I saw creatures were had never seen before they had wings and horns on their head the typical features of demons, they leaked much more strength and power than any other skills and with my old age, I have come across almost every creature on this world. They were standing on the bodies of werewolves, hunters, witches, vampires, and even humans. But looking closely I discovered their faces looked like the three lords of the north mountain vampires. That's when had this voice that was loud like thunder say, "Hunters and werewolves must unite and fight the doom together" I quote that's when the vision ended." Nina told Iris the vision who by now held a confused look on her face.
"How can that be possible hunters do not have mates. I thought that werewolves could only be mated to their fellow werewolves. Why does it have to be me? Who in their right mind would link me to my number one prey?" Iris lamented. She did not believe in love. She knew that love made one weak and she was not about to change that because of some werewolves. After the witch had given her part of the vision she went into another room in the house and came out carrying Iris's quiver and bow.
"I hope you will follow your promise not to hurt me. And I would like you to keep in mind that the whole of the supernatural world depends on you and alpha Darrell. We may be what you hunt but you have to remember also the hunters are a part of the supernatural world." Nina said as she handed Iris her things. Iris was more than confused she just took her things and headed out not saying anything to Nina. Outside the log house, it was cold, and her leather jacket and cargo pants were not doing any better in keeping her warm. But right now, her mind was busy trying to figure out what the old witch had told her. She reached for her phone only to find it was dead she cursed out loudly throwing the phone to a nearby rock and it cracked. She started walking to where she thought it was the right way home. She had never been to this part of the woods, and it looked as if it was only the old woman who lived in these woods. She was worried about her pack, and she wanted to know what had gone on but on the other side, she knew that her parent would take care of any problem that could arise. Little did she know that her parent was in her mates' dungeon being tortured. She navigated her way through the forest until she came to her home.
