ARAWN CLAN.
Iris also was in deep thought she did not want to admit that she was regretting that she had attacked his mate she had felt a pang of jealousy when he talked about his mate. She felt sorry that she had caused him the death of his mate and his twins. After they arrived at the place, she dismissed everyone to go back to the work they were doing. After she was left alone with Noel, she decided to confront him why he was behaving possessively with her. His behavior was disturbing because Iris had always seen him as a friend and now, he was acting like he had become her boyfriend. What shocked her the most was what he said after.
"I have been in love with you from the time you spent a night in my place after the initiation night. From that night I have been pushing away anyone who tries to flirt with you. I know what you are going to say that you don't have feelings for that, but I am begging you to please give us a chance." Noel begged her as he moved close to her and took one of her hands into his. She pulled her hand away quickly not believing what her second-in-command had just said.
"Noel you can't have feelings for me you know that I won't love you the way you want. You can't do this to me you have been the big brother I never had the best friend one would ever ask for, but I won't lose you by giving us a chance you know very well that I don't believe in love." Iris tried to explain to him, but he was not having any of that.
"So, you are going to give a chance to a werewolf and not one of your kind." Noel continued to push her button but this time he pushed the wrong one because she slapped him hard. But instead of backing down, he wrapped his arm around her waist pulled her to his chest, and kissed her putting into the kiss all the passion he felt in her. She was now very mad that he had violated her she kicked him where the sun does not shine and he fell on the ground groaning in pain.
"What the hell is your problem why on earth would you kiss me? First, you try to make me feel guilty because of I decision I have made, and you know you are forcing me to kiss are you out of your mind? You need to know this is my body and I can do with it what I want. Being my friend does not permit you to go around making decisions for me." Iris angrily said as she wiped her mouth vigorously with the back of her hand. She felt disgusted with his action and left him on the floor writhing in pain. She went to join those who were giving first aid to occupy her mind. Later that evening when everything was in order she called for a meeting.
"As you all know we were attacked, and we are trying to get everything normal and to do that we have to work with what we have now. So, we will all work together without considering the type of duty we are given." Iris told the people.
"Where is our master?" one of the men in the group asked.
"My parent is being held captive by the alpha of the blood moon pack, but we are going to go there and get back our masters. And we are going to give a taste of their own medicine when we go. We will make them feel the pain we have felt. Because of that, we are going to need to be training harder than we normally do we are also going to train all the children in defense lessons because if they had been taught before we would not have lost many of them in the battle. So, from now onward all of you who are eighteen years and above are going to be training as warriors and all the kids will be receiving defense lessons from me and Noel here. I promise that I will not stop until everyone here has gotten their justice." Iris assured everyone.
"When is this training to begin?" One of the ladies asked.
"The training is going to begin tomorrow morning. Everyone is going to gather at the foot of the mountain with their sports clothes we are going to go for a run up the mountains." The run is going to be for those eighteen and above and we are going to set off at exactly six in the morning no one is allowed to miss the run except those preparing breakfast and those who are in the morning shift at the wards." She instructed. She then dismissed them so they could have their dinner. She was left standing on the podium as she thought about how her parent was being tortured at her mate's dungeon. Noel walked to her.
"When are you planning to tell them about the prophecy?" he asked her as he came and stood next to her.
"When I get my parents back and everything has gone back to normal. This will only cause more chaos if I tell them now and mostly am praying, I won't have to tell them." She answered him.
"They deserve to know they are also going to be affected. If you wait to get your parent back, then it will be too late to tell them." He tried to reason with her.
"If I tell them right now, they will not concentrate on saving their master the attention will be on the doom that is coming." She told him.
"What about the case of you being the mate of alpha Darrell?" he continued to ask.
"They are not going to know about that because it does not concern them and because you are not going to tell them about it do you understand?" she asked him threateningly.
"Am I pissing you off with the questions?" He asked her innocently. She just looked at him and shook her head fed up with his behavior.
"I think it's time we contact all the other clans for their help. It would be very dangerous to go there all alone with newly trained hunters we need people who have been hunting for long and since we have lost many of our own to the battle it's a high time we ask for their help." Iris said as she ignored the question that Noel had asked her previously. "So, if you don't mind, I would like you to join me as we go make calls to the other clans." She told him as she walked off the amphitheater where the meeting with her clan was being held. They both left and headed to the office that had been newly rebuilt. She took a small journal that had phone numbers of another clan gave it to Noel and asked him to call them and then give her a report of those that we agreed to help then. It took about one hour to call them all. During this time, she called the weapon keeper and master who luckily had not been killed during the war and together they started contacting the people who sold them weapons and training gear. They started by contacting the company that they bought their guns from making a big order since she had everyone in the clan must have a gun. She also called the blacksmith who used to make them the silver-headed arrow daggers swords etc. at a fair price. Though he was human he had learned not to expose them to the rest of the human world so they lived them unaware of the supernatural being among them some of the clan members were working in human facilities like schools, banks, hospitals, malls, etc. when she was through making sure that all the thing that they would require during the preparation of the attack to the werewolves were carted for she went to check on how Noel was doing with the calls.
"Do you need help with contacting any clan?" she asked him politely.
"I have contacted all of them but only six of the clan have promised to help us in the war." He informed her.
"It's okay we shall work with what we have." She said to him as she started walking out.
"Hey Iris, am sorry if I hurt you today it's just that I felt really bad when you said about you being a mate to the werewolf, I promise I won't bother you again." He said to her as he kept his head down in shame. She accepted his apology and walked out with Noel in tow. They retired for the night.
