"Faster!" Argent shouted, throwing a punch at the pale blonde boy. With ease, he ducked under and delivered a cross counter. Hitting the target, he grinned before realizing that it didn't faze the teacher, who delivered a kick to his side that sent him reeling in pain. "Again!" he shouted, as Katsuki charged again, still in pain, but following his orders. The two continued to spar for the next five minutes, before a bell rang. Throwing Katsuki over his shoulder, Argent turned to Izuku. "Come on!" he shouted, as the green haired boy rushed him, more methodical than Katsuki's style, but still utilizing the training he received for the last year. Izuku's fighting style was far more methodical than Katsuki, who used his instincts to their limits, but it was too shallow to be able to do anything to Argent. After another five minutes, the same bell rang and Izuku was thrown backwards with an open palm push. "Again!" Argent shouted at Katsuki.
For the last year, Argent had been training the two kids to make sure they were in top shape before their exams next year. To his surprise, Katsuki slowly changed his outlook of Izuku. Though he was still foul mouthed, short tempered, and overall prickly, He treated Izuku with a level of respect. Mainly due to him being able to catch onto things faster than Katsuki, and would always help whenever he got stuck. But, both Izuku and Katsuki were in complete awe of their teacher, who would take them up on training no matter the day or time. Even after Argent got a job, when they asked for training, he would start training the second he finished his job, not even resting first. He still stayed at the Midoriya's but he no longer stayed as a freeloader as he described himself. Whether it be training, school, housework, he was always ready and willing to help.
For Argent, the progress of these two boys were astonishing. He expected them to reach this point of sparring maybe after two years, but they learned quickly… Very quickly. At this rate, he wasn't sure what to teach them, since Quirk training would leave out Izuku, and Katsuki actually refused to receive quirk training if Izuku wasn't there. With training, the two of them quickly gained a physique unlike most their age, and being forced to think while training made Izuku a genius, or close to one. After all, it's a lot easier to think when you don't have to think while fighting. After another beep, the two boys collapsed, looking up at their teacher.
"Good work. Now… I have no idea what to teach you two." He chuckled. Hearing that, the two looked at each other and smiled, before throwing their hands up in victory. "That doesn't mean you're free from training. Just that after this, it's all practical training."
"Who cares!?" Katsuki cheered. "No more multitasking while fighting!"
"You still need to get good grades, don't forget. Both of you aren't free yet." He chuckled. "So… What are your plans?" he sat next to the two.
"UA." The two answered.
"Ha!" Argent laughed. "Of course. Got your plans ready?" he asked looking at the two.
"I'm going to ace the practical exams!" said Katsuki.
"And I'm aiming for the top of the Academics. That way, after getting a decent enough score in the practicals, I can still go to UA with Kacchan."
"Hey! Don't call me that De… Mossball!" Argent stared with a completely shocked look on his face. "Huh? What are you looking at?"
"You… Didn't call him Useless?" hearing that, Izuku also snapped towards Katsuki, even more surprised. Placing a hand on his forehead, Argent looked at him closer. "Are you sick? Do you have a fever? You shouldn't be training if you're sick."
"Get off me!" he shouted, exploding his hand in Argent's face. "He's not useless anymore! So I can't call him that!" that made Izuku tear up, but stopped himself before crying. Which, in turn, made Katsuki surprised. "Did you-" he said, before getting cut off by a loud crash. Turning towards the sound, the three of them noticed All Might landing at the end of the beach. "Wait, what!?"
"Hm? Ah!" All Might looked at the three of us, before turning away. "Please excuse me." he said, before feeling a hand on his shoulder. Looking back, Argent had closed the distance and grabbed him, covering around two hundred meters in a second. "Oh? Is something wrong?"
"Sorry about that." Argent raised both hands. "But I think you need to talk to my student. Maybe clear the air a little." All Might looked over his shoulder, noticing the green haired boy.
"Oh… I suppose I shou-" This time, a scream interrupted the situation as all four looked towards the sound. A group of villains were thrashing the street, grabbing things from people, and causing a riot. "Wait he-" All Might said, before the three civilians flew towards the group. "Wait!"
"It's a clone quirk." Izuku said, looking at the group. "They're all completely the same, even the wear on their boots." He concluded, before turning to Katsuki. "All Might is here, so no quirks. Fast ball special?"
"Right!" Katsuki jumped a little, as Izuku caught his feet, before launching him towards the group. Without warning, Katsuki delivered a flying kick at the closest villain, who disappeared in a puff of smoke, confirming the clone quirk theory. "Clone confirmed!" he shouted back, as Izuku flew overhead into another clone, delivering a flying kick as well.
"Right. ALL MIGHT!" Argent shouted, causing the hero to jump in surprise.
"Yes!?"
"Go high! Get us eyes in the sky! Is this the only place!?" Argent shouted, grabbing two clones by the necks and slamming them to the ground. Following the sudden orders, All Might made a 'small' leap into the air, before confirming that the villains were only here, or only causing trouble here. "Alright!" Argent looked at the clones, before noticing a single one turning around and running. "THERE! Possible target!" Izuku and Katsuki both turned to the one running, as All Might landed in front of him.
"Surrender! I don't want to hurt you." He said, as the villain raised his hand. At once, the clones all poofed into smoke, disappearing. As the police came and took the villain away, All Might turned to the three of them, looking very concerned. "I appreciate your work in helping apprehend the suspect. HOWEVER, you should leave things like this to us heroes. Who know what could've happened, and illegally using your quirks could also put you in jail."
"We didn't use our quirks." Argent said. "This kid's quirk makes explosions, and you clearly didn't hear a single explosion." He said patting the back of Katsuki. "And my quirk makes hands appear, like this." He made a hand appear above both boys, making a peace sign. "And… you've met my first student." All Might turned to Izuku, with a look or recognition in his eyes. "So… is your answer still the same?" just as he was about to answer, Argent lifted a hand and stopped him. "Not to me, not here. Talk there." He pointed into an alley, before turning to the reporters. "GET OUT OF HERE YOU DAMNED PIRANHAS! THERE'S NO STORY FOR YOU! NOW GIT!" As All Might and Izuku talked to each other, Argent and Katsuki both made sure nobody were nearby to hear anything. After several minutes, the both of them walked back to the others.
"… Thank you for giving us time to talk." All Might said. "Now… Until we meet again!" he said, leaping away.
"… Why do I suddenly hate him?" Argent sighed, rubbing his eyes of the dust All Might kicked up. "So… good? Bad?"
"Good… but he asked me not to tell you much." Izuku said, rubbing his arm.
"Then don't." he looked up, slightly surprised. "Look. At the end of the day, we've only known each other for a year. He's been your hero for far longer. Feel free to keep whatever he said to yourself, until he says its fine."
"… Alright."
"So… Dinner?" he grinned. The two of them looked at Argent immediately. "I'm going to make some Katsudon, and I just made a new batch of hot sauce for you, Brat." He grinned, ruffling Katsuki's hair.
"Um… Before we go… I don't think I can join in training for a while." Izuku said, looking at the two.
"Huh? You're normally the one more serious about training. What, do you have training with All Might or something?" Argent chuckled. "Well… we've been training almost daily for a whole year, so a couple days off won't be a big issue. Besides, at least this'll give me a good reason to go find a hobby or something." he looked at the two, grinning. "Now, come on. Let's get everyone together to eat. It's been a while…"
'Wait… why am I suddenly part of the family?' he thought to himself. 'Well… they're all good people. Just that some are as volatile as their quirks… and now I'm thinking of quirks as if they're normal.'
From only a couple days, turned to longer as Izuku began to work with All Might even more. Unlike in the comics, he's already is great shape, so he should be able to take on the quirk immediately, and as such, will have a lot more time to train his powers before the exam. He occasionally comes by to train with Katsuki, but it's clear that he's holding back a lot, to the point that the little dynamite got pissed that he wasn't as strong as he used to be. Though Argent knew the reason, it wasn't something he could say freely, so he had to agree with Katsuki in stating his sudden change of attitude. Like before, Izuku couldn't say anything, due to his promise and the fact that Argent made sure he didn't have a chance to even hint at it.
'I don't remember when he would've told Katsuki about his inheritance, but I don't think he should be saying it for now.' Argent thought, seeing Izuku slowly shrink under his friend's berating. 'Well… at least this way, he'll have a bit more training. Though, I can't help but think I'm forgetting something.'
