Chapter 5 - Outfits and a New Student?

"Acting hero" turned out to be a bigger trick than what Argent first thought. Every single teacher in UA was a hero, and as such, the principal decided to make Argent a hero, for the duration of his work. That also meant, he needed to go out and actually do some hero work, once in a while. Completely blindsided by this, Argent merely glared at the principal, before sighing and patrolling around the city and UA. Initially, he gathered absolutely no attention, thanks to being completely unknown, but one encounter with a villain quickly put him in the spotlight. The sludge villain that would have caught Katsuki and attacked Izuku didn't get caught because of his influence, but he never really expected said villain to be his first opponent as a hero. Catching a person as hostage, the other heroes kept their distance, just like in the comic. Only this time, there wasn't a kid that tried to help, or All Might who could stop him with nothing but air pressure.

As the heroes around were worried for the hostage, Argent walked forward with practiced calmness. The villain tried attacking him, only for Argent to casually dodge and take a good look at the villain. 'If he could be put into a bottle, that means he has a central part, right?' he thought to himself, looking for said part. 'Meaning… this should be easy.' Argent grinned under his helm, no longer needing to hide his smile as he usually had during his fights. Dodging under another attempt to catch him, he quickly moved to the villain's side and delivered a cleaving kick, detaching what would have been the villain's head from his body. Using his quirk, he quickly caught the head part and watched as the rest of the body slowly collapsed, losing whatever had animated the sludge in the first place. Pulling out a Tupperware container, he sighed as he emptied his lunch and shoved the villain in, before handing it to the heroes.

"There. Go put him in custody." He said, shoving the villain into one of the hero's hands, before looking at the only two female heroes there. "And you two. Take care of the victim. Bring her to a hospital or something." The heroes all looked at each other in confusion, before Argent snapped his fingers, drawing their attention. "GO! Don't just stand there like a bunch of lemons! Do something! Crowd control, clean up, Anything!" Argent shouted at them, before walking over to the hostage. "Hey, you alright?" he asked, wiping off her face.

"Oh! Thanks a lot!" the girl replied, showing a toothy smile. "You're really strong!"

"And you seem to not care you were just caught by a villain." Argent chuckled, offering her a hand. "What's your name, kid?"

"Toga! I'm Himiko Toga!" She said, still smiling brightly. Argent raised an eyebrow at that, not expecting to meet his coach's favorite character so soon.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Hecaton, a part time hero, and a teacher in UA." He said, ruffling her hair. "Ah! Sorry about that. Force of habit."

"That's fine!" she said, smiling as the other heroes had finally gotten to work. The two female heroes had gotten a towel and covered her. "Say, can I ask you something?"

"Sure. I'm already running late, but a quick sprint should let me be in time."

"… My quirk involves drinking blood…" she said, only loud enough for me to hear. "Do you think I can be a hero?"

"That's a weird question." I chuckled. "Why couldn't you? I mean, Vlad King is a hero, and he's basically THE hero when it comes to blood." I said, standing up. "Sure, there are some quirks that don't really work as fighting heroes, but you don't need to fight to be a hero. Just look at recovery girl." Her face seemed to shine at his words, before jumping on him giving him a huge hug.

"Hey! Can I come with you? I wanna see what you teach!" she said, inches away from Argent's face, had he not used a helm.

"Might need to ask the principal, but I don't see the issue." He said, trying his best to remember what his coach said about her. "How about you stick with me for a while? I'll call the principal, and ask if it's fine for you to watch." Argent said, before stopping. "Wait… what about your school?"

"Oh! I skipped class!" she said, which made Argent facepalm. "Do you not like naughty students?"

"Eh, I've had worse students. At least you're still really polite." Argent said, pulling out his phone. "How about you clean yourself off first, then we'll see if I can get you as a plus one?" he said, before facepalming again. "AS A GUEST. Not plus one… a guest student." He corrected himself.

"Thanks!" she said, hugging harder. "Hey, can we be friends?"

"Uh… that's gonna be a bit hard…" Argent said, before noticing a frown. "This body suit is because I want to keep my identity a secret. Considering my friends already know who I am, even with this thing on, being friends might be a bit tough."

"That's okay! I'm good at keeping secrets!" She said. "I'll come meet you in front of UA after I change!" she said, rushing off. The heroes tried to stop her, only for her to duck and weave through them without issue.

"Hello? Is something wrong, Cross-sensei?" Principal Nezu finally picked up.

"Yeah… No, actually. Though, I want to ask if it's possible to get a guest student to watch the classes for today." Argent asked, sprinting to UA. "I'm not sure about her quirk, but she's surprisingly nimble."

"Oh, are you talking about the girl you just saved?" Nezu asked, causing Argent to nearly stumble.

"How the hell did you find out already!?" he asked, somehow not catching the attention of a single civilian.

"I have my ways. Anyway, it should be fine. Just make sure she doesn't cause trouble. A quick search told me that she's a lot harder to handle than Bakugo." Nezu said, with a surprisingly serious tone.

"I mean, she did say she needed to drink blood for her quirk. How bad can it be?" Argent shrugged.

 ------

"If I let you bite me, will you promise to control yourself near the others?" Argent sighed, as the girl was latched onto his back. "I know you don't really care, but personal space is a thing for most people."

During her introduction, Toga immediately got in the face of almost everyone, avoiding Mineta completely. Even with her personality, she could tell who to avoid immediately. While some were relatively fine, it was clear that they were also slightly put off, and were all disturbed when she asked if she could drink their blood. "It's fine, right?" she asked, happily hanging from the larger man's back. "None of them said I couldn't!"

"I think they're being polite." Argent sighed, rolling back the sleeve of his body suit. "I'd rather you not, but if your impulse is too much, you can bite me." he said, before feeling teeth on his neck. "Arm! Bite my arm! Not the neck!" he almost shouted, jumping slightly at the sudden pain.

"Aw, why not? The neck is more intimate." She pouted, failing to pierce through the bodysuit.

"Girl, I may not be old enough to be your father, but I'M STILL OVER 10 YEARS OLDER." He growled at her, trying not to shout and draw attention. Toga merely laughed at his reaction, which caused him to sigh and continue to the training area.

The two didn't have to wait long, as he walked normally instead of his usual sprint. Seeing the class come out in their outfits, Argent quickly took in every one of them, before frowning. Immediately, he noticed several who needed corrections to their outfits.

"Okay, normally I'd wait until after class, but I can't imagine I need to address this so early on." Argent sighed. "Some of you need to change your costumes." The class looked at each other. "Starting off… Yaoyorozu. I'm pulling you out of class for the moment, to make a better outfit."

"What? Why?" she looked surprised.

"I can't believe you're so thick skinned that you can't feel a certain pervert looking at you. Mineta, I swear to all that's holy, I will pluck out your eyes if you keep looking at them with those lecherous eyes. Yaoyorozu, until you get an outfit that suits you, I'm going to personally pull you out of training with costumes. That goes for you to, Hagakure."

"Me?" the invisible girl asked.

"You're going to go to the support department, and look into how to make a costume that can turn invisible, or an invisible costume that can turn visible. I would prefer the second choice, since that would make it easier if it has to revert to its original form." Argent shifted his gaze to Mineta, causing him to flinch.

"Next, You. What the hell are you wearing? Are you trying to be a hero, or are you trying to be a diaper model? Get serious." Argent said, pulling out a small notebook. Looking back and forth to the vocally damaged Mineta, he began to sketch on one of the free pages, then ripped it. "Come here. Take this, improve on it the way you want, then go to the support department to get it made." He said, handing over a costume design.

"Next… Sero, I don't have much to add, but consider some forearm guards. You might be a capture hero, but that also means that you'll be at risk of being attacked, in order to stop you from capturing people mid-fight." Argent said, handing him a small sketch of his own arm guards. "This is a basic sketch of the ones I'm using, but made for defense. Do what you want with it. You're still good to go for training." He looked at the next student. "Jiro… Not much to comment. But I suggest you don't wear ripped clothing, preferably something with some semblance of defense. That, and find some sort of tool that could help in your offense. Once those two speakers get broken, you'll be out of offensive options." Jiro nodded, seemingly agreeing. "Shoji… Since your quirk is biological, I can't help you. However, I will say that a hero's outfit should also provide protection, unless it's needed for the quirk to work. Sato, Kirishima, Ojiro, Koda, Asui, and Ashido, make sure to look into ways to have a more protective outfit." Argent pointed at Ojiro. "Especially you! What kind of hero goes out without any protection on their feet? What happens when you run into someone like Todoroki? Are you going to let him just freeze the whole ground, and end up with frostbite? What about Ashido? All she needs to do to keep you away is lay out acid further than you can leap. Your quirk might not have anything special to it, but your opponents don't need to know that." Ojiro nodded. "Kaminari… same thing as Jiro. Find some support items that you can use with your quirk. Since it follows the laws of physics, maybe a metal disk launcher, to you can target your quirk more easily. A metal cable would be good, but only if you're certain you won't get pulled towards an enemy… nice shades, but maybe find one durable. Glass in the eyes is not fun." Looking around, he stopped at two students. "… Uraraka and Todoroki, join Ojiro, Kirishima, and the others to find protective equipment." She nodded in response. "Next… Aoyama, what the actual hell are you wearing?"

"Are you bedazzled by my outfit?"

"Yes. While it fits your persona, remember that Heroes are supposed to be team players." He said, shooting a glance at All Might. "You'll stand out when you stand out. But, in the beginning, standing out will only make you a juicy target. After all, some villains are only in it to become famous, one way or another. Meaning, a weak hero that stands out would be a great target for them." He looked nervous, at the implication that he almost put a target on himself. "I'm not saying it's bad, but remember to reign it in. Bad outfits have risks, and good ones have benefits."

"Sir! What about me?" Ida spoke, lifting a hand.

"… I can't say much. Maybe lose the excess, and remember that speed AND mobility is more important than just speed. If you only had a split second to change directions to save a person, that extra weight is going to slow you down when you try to stop."

"Right! I'll keep that in mind!"

"That's basically all I can say, for now. As you can tell, I skipped a couple of you, mainly because I can't give any advice other than 'protection is important'. And if you're wondering why I didn't say anything to my two previous students…" Argent looked at the two boys in front.

"Please don't." Katsuki groaned. "I've revised this outfit several times already… It's already protective, helpful with my quirk, and doesn't weigh me down to the point I couldn't do things as normal."

"And Midoriya?" Argent looked at the second.

"Yes! I made sure to avoid too many flowing parts that let villains grab at them, as well as lightweight armor at vital parts. Knee and elbow guards are still in testing, to make sure they fit well and don't get in the way." Izuku said, also raising a hand.

"That's all I have for now. Yaoyorozu, Hagakure, please make sure to get new outfits as soon as possible." Argent looked over at the two. "Yaoyorozu, please remember that zippers are a thing. You can cover up, then open the zipper to pull out larger things." She looked surprised, as if she never thought of that, then blushed looking away.

"Since the class was meant to be 'heroes vs villains', and I just removed two of you, I'll be joining in as a team of one. I'll be holding back, as to not hurt anyone, but make sure to do your best."

As the class was looking forward to it, two students seemed to pale at the news, only noticed by Toga and Argent. Even All Might, who was there the whole time, seemed slightly depressed that his presence was complete ignored in favor of a lecture from Argent. An elbow to the side seemed to break him out of his stupor, as he looked up at the class. Following how the comic went, the class was divided into teams, though Mineta and Ojiro ended upon the same team, after their partners were taken out. After several fights, it finally came to the last fight. Shoto Todoroki & Mezo Shoji, vs Hecaton.

"Hecaton, you'll be the villain in this." Said All Might, giving him a thumbs up. "Do your best not to hurt the students too much!"

"Don't worry. I'm limiting myself to two hands, and only within fifteen meters radius." Argent cricked his neck, walking towards the building. Looking back, Toga, Izuku, and Katsuki were sitting next to each other, talking about something. Judging by the occasional glance at him, it might have something to do with him.

"I'm fine with skipping the preparation phase." Argent said to the camera. "My Quirk doesn't have any environmental bonuses, and I'm alone so I don't need any planning. They can come when they're ready."

Touching the ground, he let his senses tell him how far the two were. After a minute, he made two hands and stepped on them, as ice froze the ground below him. Cracking his knuckles, he landed and tapped the ice before smiling. Taking off his jacket, he crept forward to where the ice came from, and waited. As a familiar face appeared, Todoroki's vision was blocked by a leather jacket, before he felt a kick from behind it. Rolling back, the jacket appeared in front of him again, this time actually hitting him. Quickly taking off the jacket, he came face to face with a black visor. Argent stuck a foot under him, and pushed him over, pulling out the quirk bracelets. After one capture, Shoji still waited outside, as both sides waited for the alarm to ring. After time went up, it was time for everyone to receive their inputs form others.

"I think that Izu-chan should've avoided using his big moves!" said Toga, drawing everyone's attention. "Since that paper thing is supposed to be a nuke, and the thing is supposed to be moved to a different place, that means both Izu-chan and Ka-chan, were risking everyone by using big moves in a rundown building." She said.

"That's… very insightful. Who do you think did the best, then?" asked All Might.

"I want to say Heca-chan, but Mina-chan did the best. She listened to what Heca-chan said while explaining better outfits, and made it so Riki-kun and Koji-kun couldn't get close enough to do anything!" Argent looked at her with some shock, before clapping his hands.

"That's… surprisingly spot on." he said. "That's some excellent insight."

Toga got compliments from the rest of class, making her smile even more brightly. After a while, she opened her mouth as if she was about to say something, before stopping. Looking over at Argent, she skipped over and bit into his arm, drawing a little blood and causing the class to look in surprise. "Thank you." She said, looking up at Argent while smiling.

"Um… does the biting have to do with your quirk?" Asked Izuku.

"My quirk lets me transform into anybody whose blood I drink." She said, turning into Argent. Looking at the large, chiseled man, the girls of the class looked away, as Toga transformed into Argent without clothes. As soon as the shock wore off, Argent immediately covered her (his?) body with his jacket, and tossed a flashbang up, to everyone's surprise. As the light cleared, Toga and Argent were missing.

"Right." Argent coughed, drawing everyone's attention behind them. "I moved Toga to the changing room, so she can change back. And… You saw nothing." He said to the class, causing some to feel a chill.

"Uh… right." All Might cleared his throat. "That's enough for today. Feel free to change back to your uniforms, and head on out."

'… God damnit, Toga…' Argent sighed, as she basically just streaked in his form.
