Chapter 3 - Get a Job! Again!

"You two got everything?" Argent asked, looking the two boys over.

"Of course/YES!" the two replied, before Katsuki looked at his friend while covering the ear he yelled in.

"Calm down. Remember, you two trained for this. Just do your best, and I'm sure you'll do well." Argent grinned. "And… here's a tiny reminder. You're here to be Heroes. Keep that in mind." He ruffled the hair of both boys, before turning them around and pushing them forward. "Time to show UA that anyone can be a hero, as long as they have the heart for it."

"Do your best!" Inko said, standing next to Argent and Mitsuki.

"Try not to kill anyone!" Mitsuki joked, though considering the kid she's talking to, it's more of a warning.

As the two boys entered the UA campus, Argent suddenly turned to the side, looking over at a figure looking at them. Noticing they've been caught, they quickly hid behind a corner. "I'll be right back." Argent said, as he used his inhuman speed to rush to the corner, somehow without anyone noticing. As the figure was about to leave, they felt a hand on their shoulder, and turned around in surprise. To Argent's shock, it was All Might, but in his deflated form. Or is it technically his true form? "Any reason why you're spying on us?" he asked, trying to make it look as if he's angry.

"No! No, no, no! I was just looking at one of the potential students!" he replied, clearly panicked. "I invested a bit into one of them, so I-" he said, before covering his mouth. He could see in Argent's eyes some confusion, before a look of realization. Though, it was clear he didn't know Argent was only acting.

"You!?" Argent almost shouted, taking care to not gain any attention. "Are the rumors you're going to be a teacher here true? Is that why you're here? Wait, what do you mean Invest? Does this have anything to do with why Izuku was too busy to train with Katsuki?" He bombarded him with questions, knowing exactly what to say.

"I think you should stop messing with him." A voice said from behind Argent. Turning around, he noticed a giant rat creature on the shoulder of a white haired, fanged, giant of a man, if they were at the normal world. Here, he was only bulky at best.

"… Nezu, right?" Argent sighed, looking at the mouse-thing. "I thought spying wasn't your thing."

"I could say the same about you." The principal replied. "If you existed, of course."

"What?" both All Might and Vlad King looked over in confusion.

"When I learned that All Might took in a student, I took a look at everyone surrounding this student of his." Nezu said. "And I learned a lot… except for you. You have nothing to show who you are. By all accounts, you don't exist."

"Wait… what does that mean?" All Might asked.

"It means that I'm not from around here." Argent replied. "I'm assuming that somebody used their quirk, and I was brought over here from my world. Seeing on how I don't even have a quirk that lets me move between the borders of worlds, I figured out pretty quickly I was stuck." Argent shrugged. 'Technically true. I could just blame reincarnation on somebody's quirk.'

"I see… I've also had some people watch your training. The fact you noticed them is quite impressive." Nezu chuckled.

"Not as impressive as spying on me from somewhere beyond my vision." Argent grinned. "I could feel someone looking, but never did find out from where."

"I showed your training to several teachers. They were mostly impressed." Nezu Said. "Though, your intensity made many of them worried."

"So… What do you want?" Argent asked, secretly planting his feet. While he knew a little about Nezu, he wasn't sure what he'll do when he meets an anomaly like him. Best case, he leaves and everything foes on as before. Worst case, he'll have to fight each and every single hero here, and then some after getting out. Regardless, prepare for the worst had been his plan for every situation, even before he ended up here.

"I want to hire you as a teacher." Nezu said, causing Argent to pause.

"… What?" he looked at the tiny creature. "Did you just ask me to teach your classes?"

"I know you've been staying with Midoriya's family, and that you've been working many different part time jobs to help with the extra expenses." Nezu said nonchalantly. "So, I'm offering you a place to work and live. You'll be paid more than all your jobs combined, and in exchange, you use your skills for us heroes."

"… What's the catch?" he looked at the creature.

"I'll give you an ID, make it so you're able to get anything you want, within reason, and in exchange, I want you to help All Might teach his class." Nezu replied. "As you know, All Might isn't a teacher, nor has he ever taught anyone before. So, I want you, who's taught two of our best prospects, to help him teach our students how to be a hero."

Argent just stared at the creature. On one hand, there were a ton of benefits for working in UA, but on the other, he also knew that they will be attacked. But, by being here, he could make sure to keep everyone safe. Sure, they'll need to learn how to face villains, but being able to make sure none of them end up traumatized is also as important. Looking at the creature, he offered a hand. "Deal. But I can't promise that they'll be able to follow my training."

"Oh?" Nezu smiled, taking my hand.

"I will break them down. But I can promise that I'll try not to." A cold chill went down the spines of both All Might and Vlad King, as they looked at the young man in front of them.

"Well, they're still heroes to be. So don't break them too badly." Nezu let out a chuckle, moving shoulders from Vlad to Argent. "I'll show you around, while you bring me to my office to make things official."

"… Why do I feel like I'm going to regret things?" he chuckled, walking in the direction pointed. Following the creature's… technically, his boss now. Following the principal's directions, he quickly found myself in the principal's office. After setting him down on his desk, Argent sat at one of the sofas, pulling out a thermos to drink from.

"I was going to offer you something to drink." Nezu said, with the same smile on his face he's seen him with this whole time.

"This is juice." he replied, closing it up. "It's also filled with enough sugar and calories to kill a teenager."

"So your quirk needs a massive amount of energy?"

"The amount of things I process at once is… headache inducing." Argent groaned. "So… what can I expect?"

"Well… You'll be assisting All Might with his work, teaching students to be heroes." Nezu said, glancing at a nearby tablet. "As for your ID, I will need some information so I know what to put into it."

"Alright. Name Argent Cross. Age 27… actually, I think I'm younger here… Age 22, maybe? Male, clearly. Address… I need to talk to some people first." Argent sighed. "What else… Birthplace? Nuked to oblivion. Apparently the place I was born at was destroyed in this world." He shrugged. "Blood type, O+ if whatever transported me here didn't change it, height 187 cm, weight… do you need height and weight?"

"No, you've given enough information." Nezu said, offering a tablet to me. "It seems your children are done with their written exam."

"… what?" Argent took the tablet, looking at the tablet. "… Is this really the test?" he asked, looking up at Nezu.

"Why? Is something wrong?" Nezu asked.

"Well… it's not that hard?" Argent scratched the back of his head. "I mean, I'm no genius, but… this isn't very hard. I can just… logic most of these."

"Oh? What do you think should be done?"

"Well, for one, you need an actual entrance exam." He sighed. "If a strong idiot can pass your exam, that's going to be bad for your aim. You need people that can think and not just fight."

"Well, these are only the entrance exams. We still have the rest of the school to look forward to." Nezu replied, taking a sip of his drink.

"True…" Argent handed the tablet back, and leaned into the sofa. "So… you only want me to teach your kids? That's all?"

"Well, I also expect you to help them when needed." Nezu said, still smiling.

"… Needed or wanted?" Argent asked. "What happens when I don't think they need help? Or if I think they can handle it themselves?"

"Well… just make sure they don't end up dead. Though I would also prefer them not needing to end up in counseling." Nezu said.

"Sounds easy enough…" Argent replied. 'FUCK. I STOPPED READING AT THE COMPETITION ARC! I DON'T KNOW WHAT I NEED TO LOOK OUT FOR.' He all but shouted in his head, showing nothing on his face as he drank more of his juice.

"I guess that's all for now. I'm looking forward to seeing your work, Cross-san." Nezu said, smiling… brightly? Was he able to do that?

"Right… So… you'll call me when I need to come over? Or do I just come over when the tests are done?" Argent asked, still trying to remember everything he needed to watch out for.

"Don't worry. You're free to go, and I'm sure you'll be in touch as well." Nezu said. "I'll see you later, Cross-san."

Nodding back, Argent went out and quickly rejoined Mitsuki and Inko, before casually sidestepping questions on where he went. The three of them went to relax in a nearby café, two at least, as Inko was still worried about Izuku. After a long while, they went back to UA's gate, and saw a big smile on both Izuku and Katsuki. Argent immediately thought about what to make for their celebration, pulling out a small notebook, a habit he picked up from living with Izuku, and started thinking up a recipe. Seeing this, the other four immediately gulped, already looking forward to the meal in plan.
