For as long as I remember I have been in pain. But this is a different kind of pain, it's not just the aching of my joints, the cold hard ground beneath me is irritating my scratches and I can feel my blood pulsing in my head.
I've opened my eyes but I can't see anything at all, I'm in complete darkness, but with how my eyes burn I feel as though I was just looking at the sun.
Let me try to collect myself and let my eyes adjust to the darkness, I'm in pain of course, but what else? I'm laying on the floor, I don't hear anything, I taste blood, I feel scratches where my clothes are ripped, wait, why are they ripped? I feel.. wet, WHY AM I WET!
Calm down and smell it first, it might not be to bad? It's blood. Ok next question, where is it coming from? My eyes have adjusted to the darkness so I'll try to sit up against a nearby wall.
PAIN! So much pain! I breathe through the pain, I know not to make any noise, but why? Nevermind that now. My stomach has something in it... a branch, a tree branch? How did I get impaled by a branch? did I fall from a tree?
No I don't see any trees, in fact I'm in a cave. There's some moss around me but not much else. My clothes are already ripped up so I'll try making a makeshift bandage.
The sound of my clothes ripping is loud and violently breaks the perfect silence I awoke to, and something else heard it as well. I can hear a low growl from my left but I can't see anything. Im as still as I can be and trying to hold my breath, but I can't. My breathing is getting heavy and I've been feeling light-headed since I sat up.
Claws are the first thing I see appear from the darkness, It's scaly appendages come into view as it's crawling towards me. It doesn't yet see me, but I see it's tongue flip out to taste my blood in the air. It's head snaps to my location, it found me.
It charges at me, mouth agape and hissing as skitters on all fours to my location. I try to kick it away but my knee screams in pain, and as it bites down on my right leg a scream of my own erupts from me. I can hear my scream echoing as I try to focus myself.
I feel it's teeth sink into my flesh and my skin tear as it pulls at my leg, I'm trying to kick it off of me when I feel another set of teeth dig into my left arm. As I turn to face the pain I see them. There's a pack of these things, watching me, waiting for their turn.
I'm pulled back by the feeling of my left leg being bitten, I'm getting tired and I can barely fight them off, my legs hurt, my arms hurt, my stomach hurts.
I don't know what I'm doing. I don't know where I am. I don't know WHO I am. I don't know ANYTHING! IM GOING TO DIE AND ITS ALL MY FAULT!
Wait, my fault? Why is it My fault? I haven't done anything wrong, did I? It doesn't matter if I did, I don't care if I deserve this, I'm not going to die. I Will Survive!
My right arm is free and I have a weapon, the tree branch in my stomach. If its sharp enough to puncture me it can do the same to them. I grab the branch and pull as hard as I can, but it doesn't budge. The pain alone is enough to make me want to pass out but I can't. I WILL SURVIVE! I rip the branch from my stomach and swing it as hard as I can at the one on my right leg, cracking it across the face, freeing my leg.
With my right leg free I kick off the one attached to my left leg. I roll atop the one biting my left arm using my body weight to push the brach into its body to kill it. But it doesn't go all the way through and the others have now jumped me and have begun biting into me all over, ready to feast on their dinner.
But if im going to die Im taking one with me! With a scream of rage i force the branch the rest of the way through, I feel a spray of blood hit my chest and hear a *ding * in my brain.
I can hear the wet sounds of them chewing on my flesh but I don't feel it at all, for the first time I'm not in pain. I close my eyes and see a greenish square with white text written on it.
