As I'm waking up I can barley hear the voice of a older man speaking to a younger voice. As I open my eyes I'm met by the splash of cold water on my face and the older voice shouting at me.
"Nubo if!" My eyes spring open to see I'm in a unfamiliar location.
"Nxe uho 0ei?" I'm sitting in a tent, my hands are bound to the main tent poll and I don't understand what these people are saying.
"Nxuk'j 0eih dumo?" The source of the voice is a large older man clad in medieval era armor sitting across from me. There are two other armored men sitting by, what I guess is the entrance to the tent, and there's a small figure sitting in the corner watching me.
"Nxoho uho 0ei vhem?" How did I get here? Last I can remember.. I was in the cave and.... I was fighting THE LARGE KAMIO!
"What happened to the lizards? Are we still in the cave? Did you cure the poison from my system?" I say hoping by on some far off chance that they understand english.
Shock and confusion paints their faces as soon as I spoke, they don't even try to hide their feelings. Once I'm done speaking I see the small figure in the corner approach from the darkness and command the older man.
"Odeiwx ak'j m0 kihd!" It's a child, about my age, blonde with fanciful clothing and a confident stride. Before I'm able to react he's screaming in my face.
"Nx0 noho OEI ad kxo tidwoed?! Xen sud kxo caboj ev Oei tuho ke jkouc M0 Npfohaodso Feadkj!!" He screams in my face, his eyes are full of a hate I recognize. In this moment I dont need to understand his language to understand what he's saying, he thinks I'm beneath him. Who the fuck does this child think he is? I glare at him meeting his fury with silence in spite, but all it does is stoke his hate.
"XEG TUHO OUI AWDEHO MO OUI GEHKXCOJJ JSIM!!" His voice cracks as he yells in my face, but before I can laugh at him, he smacks my face in petty retaliation. The older guard quickly steps in before the situation escalates any further.
"Mo Ceht oui dootd'k tahko ouih xudk gakx kxaj kxadx, a'cc giojkaed ak mojocv." The older man says curtly to the child as he calms him. The soldier looks to me with a stern but pitying glance, intent to continue his questioning.
"De" The child commands, "Ho'j zijk u madtcojj juluwo Wodohuc, kxoho'j de feadk ad kh0adw ke semmidasuko nakx jsim. Kubo ak eik ev m0 jako udt bacc ak." With the boys final words I see a new tension fill the bodies of the two armored men at the door, and sadness quickly flickers in the older man's eyes but then fades away.
"0oj m0 ceht." The older man speaks responding to the child, he then bows as the child leaves the tent. With the child gone he quickly points to one of the guards at the door, a younger man with a scar on his face, speaking in a commanding tone he says.
"0ei! Kubo kxaj kxadw roxadt kxo kodkj udt tajfejo ev ak."
The younger man's face goes flush as if he's seen a ghost and he barley stutters out a retort. "Rik jah ak'j u sxact..."
The older man's eyes bulge with anger as he marches into the younger man's face and starts to yell. "Uho 0ei tov0adw 0eih ceht? 0ei bden nxuk nacc xuffod ke 0ei, ted'k 0ei?"
"0oj jah, uj 0ei semmudt." The younger man responds sounding afraid. As the older man leaves he motions for the other knight to follow after him and they leave the tent.
The younger man is looking down at the floor for a while, he turns to me avoiding my gaze while he walks behind me. I feel him messing with my bindings and soon they give way partially. While I can now stand up my hands are still bound, he begins to walk towards the tent entrance pulling my rope behind him forcing me to stumble to my feet as I follow him.
I walk out of the tent and I'm blinded by the light of day, its the first time I've seen sunlight in what feels like days, as I look around we are in a forest. In the distance I see a cave mouth and other tents but before I can stare longer I'm forcefully yanked forward by my captor. He's walking us deeper into the forest away from the encampment and into a heavily shaded area.
I'm shoved to the ground and as I try to get up I'm stopped by the feeling of cold steel against my throat. I look up to meet the man's eyes and see fear, a scared young man who looks like he's about to throw up.
"A sud'k te kxaj..." he says dropping his sword with tears in his eyes. In quick succession I see his face show, sadness, anger, relief, and then panic. He throws himself onto his knees and grabs my bindings trying to untie them as fast as he can.
"Kxoho'j u kend uk kxo ekxoh odt ev kxo vehojk, A fhu0 ke kxo xec0 edo 0ei jihlalo." He stammers out paniced and talking as fast as he can. Once my hands are free I see him point in the direction behind me, he then yells a command and shoos me away the same way you'd command a dog. "Den we!" He's telling me to run!
I take off in a full sprint in the direction he pointed, my feet scraping against the twigs and branches of the forest floor but I don't stop running. I won't stop running till I'm out of danger.
