Edward came to a small town that barely had a general store, it was a dusty town where the only visible activity was the elderly sitting on porches watching newcomers and the saloon near the general store.
The store didn't have much, but it did have enough to buy some food and ammo just in case the natives decided they didn't like him or anyone else for that matter; His mother had always said never to kill anyone because you can never come back from that but why else would his father leave him is revolver.
He never got to ask, he died before he was born. As he entered the general store, he could smell that dust in the air from how long it'd been since it was cleaned.
Edward bought some dried salted meat, some bread and water then stepped outside; back into the blistering heat of the sun, it beat down like a lead pipe.
Edward loaded up his horse and prepared to leave the dismal town as even without speaking to anyone it was clear that the town had no hope of becoming the place he was searching for.
As he was about to mount his horse, he heard commotion coming from the saloon. Wondering what was happening he walked over to the run-down saloon to investigate.
