Strolling through the quiet corridors, Annabelle pushed open the door to Emily's room and entered, finding Emily packing their belongings into suitcases.
With furrowed brows, Annabelle closed the door behind her with a soft thud.
She quietly approached Emily, sitting on the couch, but Emily didn't notice her presence.
"Emily, what's happening? Is there an emergency?" she asked, startling Emily who turned abruptly to her.
"Good morning, Luna," Emily greeted with a slight bow.
"Have you accepted my offer of running away?" Annabelle asked, observing Emily's packed things.
Could Alvin have finally agreed to her request of sending her home? If so, her persistence had paid off. However, a part of her no longer wished to leave. Yet, she knew she had to go, perhaps due to the effects of the marking.
"No, we aren't running away. You're not going home either. It's a conference we need to attend."
